There is no set rule shows open for booking 30 days before. I see you said you did some digging and discovered this. My last 2 oasis class opened shows the 1st of the prior month. Had I waited until 30 days out they were sold out. I'd throw that rule out for the future or you will be disappointed again. No such rule.

Yes unless by some chance it was originally booked for 2 and 1 no showed, then sometimes there is a issue, but shouldn't be if you booked solo and cruised solo. Good luck.

This is not correct. You still get the same pts if you cruise in a cabin that holds 2 or more. Only if you are in a solo cabin, then you only get 1 pt. Using the code for the lesser supplement doesnt affect your loyalty pts.

The only problem with this is cancelling .. he cant cancel without affecting the other 3 in the cabin.

@Ourusualbeachwould know. I would guess it's getting close if you sail this Saturday. I'd be contacting whomever I booked with. I would be careful cancelling 1 of 4 in a cabin. It might be tricky to cancel and use insurance. You dont want to affect the other 3 in the cabin. I assume you have someone in mind to switch with him.

I've only seen it on black friday offered. I dont see it offered on a regular basis.

Hi I booked a 8 day eastern inside deck 9 for dec 2024 on adventure. Lol it better be ok. All I can say is very forward you might feel more motion. Prices are high imo so I booked a inside to save money. I prefer a balcony and would love a suite .. not my preferred cabin, but adventure prices are very high imo and I'm just getting around to booking. I love the easten and southern ports ..booked both on adventure. I can sit up by the pool. I'm paying as much for my inside as a aft corner or a balcony a year ago. .so yes I'm saving a few $$$. I like a higher deck closer to food and the pool and solarium.

I think you are mistaken about transferring your free wifi to your daughter. On wifi you can share your login but you dont transfer your perks to someone else.

Ahead of time she has to buy the whole week though. Just 2 days cheaper to buy onboard.

I could be confused, but I think I read JS on oasis class does not get priority boarding as a perk, only on the smaller ships. So out of Galveston it might make a difference if you have a JS which ship you are booked on.

Yes ... but to get this you have to call. But you can get the drink pkg and your sister get the refreshment pkg. .. just call. Cant do it online.

I would bee line to the nearest place to book what you want. Have a list in hand of what you want to book. I've read others who waited a couple of hours to book after they boarded and didnt get what they wanted. Agree with mike..do it asap when you board. They are selling too many dining pkgs for everyone to get what they want. Making the Mdr less attractive is pushing people to book dining pkgs.

I remember the flower carts actually in the terminal. What I dont remember is being able to buy them ahead of time under gifts to purchase .. but agree I could buy them as I boarded. I was talking about pre purchasing gifts. Renee brings a orchid onboard when she cruises even now. Of course when I boarded princess in Galveston I also remember being greeting with a glass of champagne in the terminal. ..lots has changed.

You have only been on cc since 2002, me too. 21 years isnt that old. I dont remember being able to order floral arrangements but never tried. Most people want to pay land prices and walk on with stuff. I doubt there is a huge demand to pay a lot more for candy when you can just bring whatever you want. There are candies in the onboard shops maybe gift some obc. Or give them gifts ahead of time for cruising.

I see you have posted this question in every cruiseline. If you wish to dress up, do it. No one will think you look out of place. There is no particular ship that has different dress codes within the same cruiseline. I also see you vetoed mardi gras as having too many people to deal with. Rcl has some bigger ships than mardi gras with great shows and food. More people on a bigger ship doesnt always mean more crowded...though rcl does have more sf per pax than carnival. Do a higher end line line celebrity or Holland America if you want a more dressed up cruise.

The new terminal has a better waiting place for suites than the old terminal. Coffee, pastry, that kind of thing. And of course you will board first with the pinns and hc was with them before. As soon as the ship is ready you can board. Their own lounge area. Nicer now.

By 9 or 9:30 the porters will accept luggage. 10:30 is the earliest arrival time given, though I've heard 11:00 lately on the big ships. Outside there are no suite lines, but inside after you are checked in then you will sit in a suite area. Boarding starts when they are ready. One inspection time it was after Noon. Just hope it's not a coast guard inspection date. There is a bar right after you enter the ship, near customer service. Just show your boarding pass to order a drink.

I got boxes of cruise logo stuff from 20 years of cruising. I dont need 2 beach bags. I can only use one at a time.

Black Friday is the only really good sale I've seen since restart.

I got the beach bag, but 1 is enough. I gave away the last one. But agree it's kinda nice. Towels you can use more than 1, but I only need so many more bags. I'm trying to par down my cruise stuff to move.

Or just go to your muster drill place and they show you how to wear it. You have to drop by anyway and check in. Just takes a couple more minutes. I did that once. Hadnt watched it on my app.

Well they kinda did change. I got the email about how they were going to hydrate us even more. I dont drink bottled water but I did drink the coke they cut. I get 5 vouchers so I can go get a coke, but the choice of beer or soda is gone. I finally started getting my coke, i had a can of juice from pre covid selected, and had to call in because the juice was gone after covid. It changed twice for me. I just left the water right where they left it. Sometimes I give it away.

I went to look for my jan 13 2024 dream sailing and today it's gone. Hard to believe its sold out? Its nowhere and I even narrowed down the search. The next 14 day dream sailing says sold out of all but balconys. And those went sky high .. but mine is pulled. Here is the next one ..but mine is gone for next jan.

Lol I feel like I get stink eye here because I do carnival. Carnival prices are higher than rcl is why I only have the one booked. There are a few I'd like to try. I wanted jubilee, but harmony is cheaper for a balcony than a inside on jubilee. I'm hoping prices on newest ships come down. 3 princess, 3 ncl, 1 celebrity. I thought princess was a bit staid tbh. I want to try HAL. I'll be the highest tier on carnival next cruise. I like their fast food and comedians better. They were the only 2 choices out of texas for a while and I liked to alternate Mdr menus. Got tired of the same so alternated. I really dont get why royal pax feel so uppity toward carnival. And yes I think they do love to feel superior. I read comments and hear it a lot. I get tired of the attitude. I guess people need to feel they are better than others.

Except on grandeur who doesnt have that technology. We had to wait for them to print out the days pictures and pick the one we wanted.
