I just was hearing a earthquake hit Taiwan and a tsunami warning went out to japan and the Philippines. I'm hoping it doesnt affect from sea to shining sea travels in japan. Move from some coast warning. Not sure where they are today or the rest of this week. Good luck. Hopefully she will post soon. It's been quite a day of big happenings.

Check some other cruise sites. I can think of one I use where I can see all from a certain port, and just check royal and just get a list of royal by date. It's against cc rules to name sites that sell cruises, so I cant name any.

Well it was a bit of a zoo. My bil was my ride. Last friday a 18 wheeler rear ended them and smashed the back of their car. He said he was stopped, maybe at a light, not oving so the trucks fault. I think police called and truck driver either accidentally or on purpose gave fake insurance for the truck. So he was calling to get a rental car, which was to be delivered to their house at 3 pm, my surgery at 2 pm. So he calls me at 11:30 saying I could just drop him off at the rental car place. What about my car, how do I get it home? Hmmm. I'm also supposed to check in at 12:30. So he says ok just come get him and he will figure out the rental car. We didnt get a block from their house my sister is calling him, "I'm hungry". Miss spoiled. He told her she would have to wait until he got back and take her to eat in my car. Yikes. This is his 3rd accident in a short while. Hes not a good driver though this wasnt his fault. I didnt see a choice. I cant see a uber driver signing for my release. So anyway he lined up their neighbor to drive me home but I said I can drive fine, I just needed someone to sign for my release. I talked to the doctor this morning. I said I dont understand their policy that they wouldnt answer any questions until I have someone with me. I'd asked for instance when I can remove the eye patch. They said cant answer until your ride is here. He said he does very mild sedation. Other surgeons put patients to sleep and heavier sedation than he does so the policy is for all. Seems a bit dumb to me they refuse to answer questions, my bil with a terrible memory has to be present. I said I'm also concerned I can barely read stuff now. What I type here is blurry. He said be patient, the eyes need to work together. I could see close in just fine but not distances. Now I see distances, but close up like this is blurry and a bit double. He assures me I am seeing at least 20 20, maybe 20 25. Doesnt seem like it to me. I go back next Wednesday for a check up. He says great results ... wish I could see close up like before .. I do hope it's coming. I could do wifi better before the surgery. I havent tried to read a book. Surgery done and I made it hime ... amid some confusion. We dont yet know if my bil car is totalled, it's pretty new so maybe not.

Yes 2 devices at the same time. It cou its devices, it doesnt know who is using them with your sign in. If you signed in a 3rd device, it knocks one device off line.

Clearly you dont know the law. Carnival chooses not to pay the taxes and do it. They used to. I have done carnival in the olden days before they changed their mind. Carnival chooses, not a law. There arent laws saying carnival cannot but royal can. No such law. Carnival is just being cheap and chooses not to pay the taxes involved so waits. Laws dont pick and choose between cruiselines.

I go out of Galveston random old enough to remember when cheers started day 1. I assume you arent. Then because so many waited for day 2 to start cheers, they just started all day 2. Royal also goes out of Galveston and their drink package starts asap when you board before you tell me carnival has to do this. If royal can so can carniva., they choose not to..

The reason is NOT because of the tradegy. It's because some ports carnival chooses not to pay the local taxes, like ny and Galveston. .. so they start cheers day 2. As noted above this has already been posted so isnt new news just you worried later people might get angry. Galveston we do this every cruise. It's not like it doesnt happen in other ports. Its carnivals choice to postpone. Why blame the bridge. It's the port change. Norfolk taxes.

Idk what to say. I live in texas and it's been all over the news. Of course I follow stocks and news a lot but cant imagine not having heard about the bridge collapse. I bet cruises from Baltimore are cheap right now because of the uncertainty. .. maybe consider Galveston. Royal moved to norfolk too btw, dont book them either from Baltimore in the next month or so.

I also had this issue with wonderland. I said if it's not excluded how can you say it's not included. I've just gotten tired of the hassle, not worth it for me.

Ok I'm sure I've had more than 6 central park balconys and I do sit out if the sun is hitting the balconies on the opposite side. I've had deck 10 and 12 for sure. My biggest complaint was I was below the round pool on harmony deck 12 and the kids screeching all day long got on my nerves a bit. I would try next time not to be below kids pools. They screech all day, cant swim without screeching. That was on harmony. Oasis kids yelling at the pools also got annoying. I would choose a lower deck if open. That deck 12 double wide was all that was left b2b last time if I wanted the double long balcony. I also was next to the extra small inside next door last time. I've also been next to the stewards cabin and preferred that lower deck. Nothing huge but be aware the kids are swimming right above you. I've done that cabin more than once on 3 oasis class ships. Look at the deck plans and you will see which side of the ship that round wave pool is.

How is a ocean view going to be cooler? I have sailed in both and admit I dont sit out when the balcony is in the sun, no matter if its ocean view or central park. I've had a skin cancer issue so i cant sit in the sun. If the sun is shinijg and your balcony is where the sun hits, it's going to be hot..I dont understand how one will be hotter than the other if the sun is shining on it. I did a ov facing balcony on oasis and never used it during the day. Too hot all week. Why spend extra if you want to avoid a hot balcony?

Insurance is probably the culprit. I was 1 year too old to sign up for a bird watching excursion in Belize. Not even strenuous. It's been going on at least since covid.

I'm with chase so I'll stick with them. This is the first time this ever happened as I said. All my others are booked in usa dollars. This one time he didnt have group prices left in usa dollars. I didnt even know he had canadian group rates and I've been dealing with him for years. It was such substantial savings I said thanks and booked in Canadian dollars. It would have cost 75% more booking the amount on rcl web site. My TA to spain and the next 10 day leg are booked in american dollars. Just this add on where I added 3 legs to this oct he said his american groups sold out. Now I know. I have time before next may to ask chase about a card with no transaction fees. I used to have a rcl card I closed. I'll bet it doesnt have these fees. I read here on this forum to book direct. Has someone actually had trouble booking the hotel thru a 3rd party or just saying be careful just in case. Priceline I can bundle the flight and hotel.

Good for you but be prepared that sometimes this isnt allowed, depends on the ship. Allure did not allow other nights, but harmony allowed a 2nd later in the week night.just because you got lucky doesnt mean the op will. Allure allowed izumi sushi, but harmony did not. Varies. All you can do is ask.,

I booked 3 group cruises with canadian $$$. I see my visa card charged me $11.74 on each of the 3 deposits. So obviously it will charge me a fee to charge in euros. Or I need a new credit card. Never did it before but my TA didnt have any usa groups left for this oct, only canadian. So he put thru the 3 deposits in canadian dollars. So now I know. Something else to look into, maybe a new travel credit card. (My TA is canadian). So now I know yep there is a fee for foreign currency charges, each one. Just happened to look it up. That hotel for solo at 550 euros will also charge a extra transaction fee. Or I have to book the hotel and pay now and bring lots of euros with me. I'm not even that picky about a hotel. .. but a fee every time i charge will get old.

Ok they said elegant bathroom. I translated that they said nice. ..but for sure it states they have a bathroom. I'm still reading reviews and deciding. .. but hotel says elegant bathroom. "They have a surface area of 8 square meters, and have an elegant bathroom with shower."

I did a carnival and isnt their cheers 59 pppd, plus 18%. They never have excursions on sale, so I did black friday and paid less than carnival.,I dont drink much but get 5 drinks a day. Rcl has drinks and wifi and perks, so people are loyal to get to those perks. I cant wait for pinnacle and free wifi the whole cruise. Its true newbies pay more for some things. No wonder rcl wants loyals to leave and attract more newbies. I would never pay 5k for a royal cruise. Ask me in 10 years and I may change my mind, but I dont and wouldnt pay anywhere close to 5k.

I lived in hawaii for 10 years so that's my favorite. Lush and green. When I sailed there I remember hula lessons and lei making. I did aruba and curacao on my journey cruise in January. We missed bonaire too. I have booked adventure april,2025 going to all 3 ABC islands. Always time to hit them all later.

More specifically my TA advised me not to book a forward facing balcony on the pool deck. He said the ship is going full speed and it is more windy than going slow. It's not a matter of bad weather, it's just windy. He choose a balcony a little further back toward the elevators to cut the wind.

And to have the terminology I also took real estate courses including appraisal. Though you kinda know things it's good to hear it in words. Like for instance in a high rise condo complex every floor up might be worth $5k on the appraisal. That pool imo the value is in the 5 acres you would get for less than 100k a acre. Some day that average will be worth more. Imo. That close to water and the ocean. Central florida lots of land but I saw it in south florida as cities marched west into the Everglades. I've always done property and been guilty before of buying and having more than 1. I love real estate and actually do have a eye for deals. .. but deals only are great if you can use the property. There was a 2 bedroom for 145k a block from the ocean my fingers were itching for. Even needing work that was a deal. And yes I love to look, but those I've posted imo are good deals.

I've flipped houses for 50 years and agree I have a eye and a 6th sense for deals. I do think looking back later the ones I'm posting will be seen as deals. I have that entrepreneur push and have done all kinds of stuff, vending machines you name it to make a living outside a office. I somehow know what area will be picking up. .. this house being the exception. My dad wanted me within 5 minutes and I complied. I would have bought much further north had I been buying to make money. I have seen some great deals, which is why imo I said the market is kinda soft.
