Lol I fired my Merrill lynch broker and now dont ask. I'm assuming you mean for those who dont know stocks. I now actually have a really good ubs broker, who matches me toe to toe and we can talk stocks. I do this for a living but I inherited a couple of trusts i manage and they have a broker. I enjoy talking stocks with him and as i said he matches me toe to toe unlike the dufus Merrill lynch assigned to me. He knows as much as i do. I daily follow the market. For instance I'd bet $100 there was a leak of the inflation number at least a day early. That selling yesterday morning was institutional selling. They knew the number was hot and started to sell yesterday at open on no news. At this price I'd buy if i wanted more ccl. Unless you believe they will go under this is a decent entry.

On the other side of the same argument. You can buy 100 shares of ccl ... prove you bought them and sell. I dont pay commission to buy or sell so it costs me nothing to dip in and out of a stock. I do it all the time. Just have to be holding the 100 shares when you apply for the obc. Maybe I'm just good but I can find a day it dips buy, show proof, sell it even or higher. Not always right, in 2020 I underestimated covid when I bought ccl. But I'm generally correct. I have 7 cruises booked this year. $100 obc is $700 I can spend. More booked going forward. For me I disagree with the advice about how much that $1550 is worth toward other cruises. Dont hold the stock, easy. Of course I support myself with my stocks, so my thinking isnt the same as a novice who rarely buys and sells stocks.

I was on harmony for 3 weeks and one time tried their pizza. Luke warm and so bad I ate the topping off and never went back. Did carnival pizza 3 times and love my white pizza there, so rich and good without that awful crust royal uses. Not even c,use. I saw the points guy gave the nod to carnival for food. I agree. Carnivals food best royals for me. Big time. On royal I'm now doing more pay restaurants. Food is sub par for me on royal but I love my free drinks and wifi. I turned diamond my last carnival cruise so I have a few other cruises to compare. I had the choice of jubilee or 14 days on dream when carnival had their 50% off birthday sale and choose dream. But would have liked jubilee. Now I'm moving so will be mardi gras. I like some on both lines.

Wait until you go on a larger ship like allure or harmony. Lounge hours been 5 to 8. They might come in a tad early to serve but hours at 5 pm my last 10 or so cruises.

This has been true for me for the last year or so. They did this very soon after covid for my sailings. That's why I rarely go in in the evenings. I've posted imo they put the time at 5 pm for the lounge same as dinner on purpose. Been true for a while now. At least a year or so.

I think a lot is what we are used to. I did 14 day dream mid January and loved the food and more elevators, 3 elevators for a lot fewer people. We had close to 1500 no shows, so never a wait. But I missed my 5 free drinks and free days of wifi. I admit it. And excursions on carnival never go on sale. I load up on royal on black friday. I preferred carnival food choices though. We might have had better food though because it was a journey cruise. Carnival upper their menus by added emeril selections, while royal cut and cut. And I dislike royal pizza and love the thin crispy crust pizza carnival has. I'm the opposite of op. I love carnival pizza. So most of what she disliked I prefer... though free wifi and free drinks on royal has a appeal. ..but not because of the cruise itself.

I've never had one issue in 20 years with billing from royal. I dont check for holds so idk, I dont run my account that close it would matter. Princess once billed me for a big bottle of water they left in the cabin my roommate drank. Wasnt my signature and my name misspelled on the signature so they removed it. Only issue in 20 years.

My nod for mattresses would be toward carnival. Though I guess one can be new and hard. But carnival mattresses to me are better and softer. I dont mind food spread out, but like looking out seeing the ocean. Ship design i guess not my thing. Dont care, dont hardly notice or have a opinion. Are pool deck seats in the shade. Winner. My next up is a week on mariner.

We did oasis mid march 2023 and had over 2k kids. That's probably typical for spring break. They were noticeable imo, but next time I'll remember its spring break.

My sister is still complaining about her back from the 18 wheeler rear ending them when they were stopped at a light. Whip lash for the back I guess. Her husband said monday he kinda hoped they totalled his kia he wanted a ranger pick up he had his eye on. Sure enough they totalled out their kia and he went out by yesterday and got a pick up, the silver ranger. Hes agile, age 85, but my sister on a good day is on a walker, on a bad day she is a limp bowl of jello. And his daughter is way grown up who has to climb into the back seat. He also picks up a blind lady and her large german shepard seeing eye dog and takes her to church. For someone giving rides to church folks, a pick up wouldnt have made my top ten choices. He told my sister he was buying a running board so there was a extra step to get up in this pick up. What was he thinking? He also now wants to go to Scotland and ireland and just fly over, dont prebook hotels or make any plans. He believes in just winging it, doesnt want to be tied down with reservations. They all applied for passports. I'm biting my tongue. I keep reminding myself I'm moving. He invited me to go along, I said oh I'm moving in may, so sorry.

You see articles on social media how florida now is unaffordable. People are leaving for cheaper states. Imo I have never seen such interesting properties for what imo is a reasonable price. Imo a cocoa beach address is worth a little more than a cape Canaveral address, than a merritt island address, though they all touch. This is a cocoa beach address along the backside banana river as they call the water on the back side. 1650 sf looking fairly updated stainless steel appliances, updated floors. Not only does it come with a individual garage, it also has it's own private boat slip and only $600 HOA. Imo 3 bedrooms here without a boat slip was going for this. ..if someone had use for a boat slip this is a deal. I feel lucky to find a deal that suited me tbh. .. but there are sure some deals out there right now imo.

I had to laugh, I guess they think if they get you Aussies drunk enough you wouldn't care where you go. They also suggested a coat because now the ship is going south where its colder than planned.
