  1. Yes, seems like a couple months ago. Then they sent something that said, see you at your boarding time. Our boarding time is 10:30am and that is when we will arrive. I will try to remember to let you know how it goes. @brillohead didn't seem to have a problem boarding last week when she arrived at her scheduled time. BTW, didn't you cruise Allure recently.
  2. Our last cruise before everything closed down was out of Galveston on Liberty after it was amped. If I remember this will be our 4th Galveston. Happy they have Oasis class now.
  3. @brillohead Thanks for getting it going. We are flying SW and have made it half way so far, Dallas, with no problem. We are scheduled to fly from here at 11:00 am to Houston. When we arrived at the LR Airport we noticed long lines and the first thing that came to mind was canceled flights when we got stranded in Miami. Found out it was people that didn't check in online. My asst TA, Sharon, had us covered and we had a quick check in. After we moved on it was weird the TA line seemed longer than the regular line. Once we land in Houston we will Lyft to League City where we will spend the night. I hear there's a Buckkees there. 😲 Not sure if we will get to go.
  4. I had an "OH crap" moment. We get to the airport early and see a long line. Luckily my asst TA had us checked in. About to board. Let's hope the connecting flight goes smoothly.
  5. The 4 do not have to be staying in the same cabin either. We share with another couple that cruise with us all the time.
  6. We cruised Allure last October with the UDP. The 5 of us agreed that Giovanni's was our favorite. We are boarding again this Sunday and are doing the 3 night plan. We are doing Giovanni's twice and Chops. I think you would enjoy all 3. The only one we would not consider again is Sabor. Everyone's taste is different.
  7. My regular tank is under the house. So if I replaced it with a tankless it could be under the house. Does it take long for the water to heat up? How hot can you set it.
  8. OHIO was their encore song. Big song when playing in Cleveland. My brother was part of the National Guard during the Kent State riots. His Akron unit was sent to Kent State. He was one of the few they had stay back to guard the Akron Armory.
  9. When you come to a stop light or anywhere you have to hold the brake, there is a button you can push that will hold the brake for you. It releases when you hit the gas peddle.
  10. I had not heard about any of them passing away. In 1974 the Cleveland stadium had the World Series of Rock. I got to see CSNY along with Santana and a couple other bands. Over 80,000 attended. Another time I went to a Jefferson Starship concert and Jeff Beck was the backup band. At the time I was not familiar with Beck. He was great. Although JS played great I enjoyed Beck even more that night.
  11. Sharon drives most of the time. She likes the auto stop/start feature. When I drive I usually don't engage it by pushing harder on the brake. Not that I don't like it. We both forgot about brake hold feature. Sharon used to use it often. Now that you mentioned it, maybe we will remember to use it again. So many options to keep up with.
  12. Yes, but the outside mirrors are manual too! I usually don't realize they are not properly aligned until after I am driving down the road. I agree with the Blind Spot. Has helped out more than once. Another thing that helps is the auto brake system. We really didn't think about how long it was until we got it home to park it in the garage. When we pull in we slowly pull forward until it brakes. Gives a little more room to walk around the back.
  13. I was able to find an article talking about the suspended tree. Art from 1993. They say it is an orange tree. I guess it doesn't bear fruit. I haven't found a Pic showing oranges. The chairs look cool.
  14. Since retiring 5 years ago I drive my Ford Ranger very little. It sits outside so no way to charge it but the battery is still good. I drove it to my appointment yesterday in the rain. I had to turn the key to start it, turn on the headlights, the wipers didn't automatically turn on when rain hit the windshield, no way to heat the seats, I had to shift the gears and there was no back up camera. On the good side lane assist didn't beep and the truck didn't turn off at the stop light! Then I had to park, there was no surrounding cameras to help me park! A lot of difference in a basic 1996 truck and today's cars.
  15. When we got our car last year we didn't have much of a choice. We got the Highlander Platinum. I normally don't get extras I don't need, just one more thing to break. No battery problems yet. We have the auto stop. Hasn't caused any problems yet but we are not in an area where we have to stop often.
  16. We will be joining you this Sunday on Allure . Last October we had an OVB on Allure. Here is what was in our room. The phone charger was a little outdated 😂 This is the plugs on the desk. I used a plug-in behind the side of the bed to use my phone charger. So to answer your question, no, they have not upgraded their charging system.
  17. I have been having a hard time with taking statins. We are checking to see if insurance will cover a shot called Repatha.
  18. Happy Golden Dani! And Happy Birthday to your DH. Great pics. I showed my DD the pic of the suspended tree and she was confused. She was asking why. We both guessed art.
  19. Another difference is the specialty restaurants offered. Harmony has Jamie's, which we have had enough of, Allure has Giovanni's which we plan to eat at twice next week. Harmony has Wonderland which we enjoyed. Allure has Samba Grill which is good. With that said you should enjoy them both. I do miss the water slides when on the Allure.
  20. You saying that made me just realize that is something else I haven't been eating, chips. I love making my own chip dip. I also rarely order fries anymore. It all wasn't really a planned thing.
