  1. We did a ship excursion of the ancient ruins. Interesting. Also traveled through Capitol city Tunis and old city Medina area which seats the government and the old Souk (Market). Others just walked around on their own and also stated they enjoyed. We had limited time there but on a regular visit there would probably be more time and options.
  2. Great shot! Thanks! We were rocking with White Night!
  3. We’ll leave the light on!😁 I believe sail-away is 8:00 PM
  4. It’s a beautiful day on the Greek Island of Corfu. Rode up the East coast to the Northern coast and back to ship. Port is busy with Sun Princess and a Viking ship. Had a nice lunch of Greek Salad, olives, fried anchovies and of course wine. Tonight is White Night so there will be a buffet and party pool side. Last night we dined with 3 of the gal singers and dancer. Interesting to hear of their adventures after a nine month contract. They are finished and will soon be going home. Tomorrow is a sea day before Venice and the start of our last segment. Thanks for the featured reports and post. Quick healing for those in need. Bruce
  5. Good morning. Yesterday we visited the ancient city of Carthage, Tunis the Capitol of Tunisia and Medina the old section of Tunis and the old Souk. The ancient Roman baths were huge. The aqueducts were the largest ever seen. The Souk was quiet yesterday being this North African was their day to celebrate Mother’s Day. Today the Med. Sea is a glassy ripple as we sail to Corfu, Greece. Lot’s of new faces onboard with yesterday new crew arriving. Thanks for the reports and post. Forever grateful for the brave men and women whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom. ❤️🇱🇷
  6. On a regular cruise you get the standard pattern and routines. On this cruise so many different things an events have been done. It’s just been an outstanding experience. Entertainment, food have all been over the top. Small ship atmosphere. Twice this week the hotel Director has sat down with us and had a cocktail. Last night dinner with our world voyage host. By now the crew that’s catering to guest all know our name and we know most of their names. Same is true with guest. It’s been so great we are going on a couple of more. One with Seabourn and another with Azamara if our health remains good. Trying something new was our best move yet. When one line starts getting repetitive will try something new but remain with small ships.
  7. It’s a big step up but this world has been over the top. You loved the Prisendam you would love this. Our best decision was to try something different. Still love our HollandAmerica cruises but it’s nice to try something different.
  8. If one could bring Thai chi flavoring they can boil water and do latte so me thinks there could be a comprise to your Thai Chi Tea request. The crew bends over backwards to meet your wants and needs, We have been spoiled rotten!
  9. That it is. Like Prisendam on steroids. We love the small ships.
  10. It’s a beautiful day and we just picked up our pilot as we enter Goulette, Tunisia. Just enjoyed a BBQ lunch poolside and at 2:30 will be going on an excursion to the ancient city of Carthage. Ninety Two new crew members embark today and a few are leaving. Getting back to full crew compliment as next segment we’ll have 670 guest onboard which is our largest guest count yet. Thanks for the reports and post. Bruce
  11. Further follow up today with the top barrister and he said no to Chai Tea. So just wanted to correct my previous post.
  12. Just about time for Pilot to board as we arrive in La Goulette , Tunisia. Enjoying a beautiful day and a pool side BBQ. We have a tour to Carthage at 2:30. Tonight we have dinner with our host Lee W. and the crew will enjoy a well deserved dinner in Prime C. Today ninety cruise members will join the ship. In Venice we will have 670 guest onboard which will be our largest guest population on the ship of any segment.
  13. Per our current barrister they can do just about anything upon request. Probably depends who is on duty.
  14. The crew had a BBQ lunch just for them on deck 11 today. Here are some pics from the crews art recycling contest. Pretty imaginative. Tonight’s menu and sunset was nice even through salt stained windows.
  15. Goodnight from the Med. Window is a little salty and stained but still pretty from our dining table. Tonight’s menu.
  16. Good afternoon from the Med. Sea with limited visibility due to haze or fog. Keeping temps high sixties so tonight’s pool deck dinner will be moved indoors. @ger_77Happy Birthday🎂 Not much else happening other then enjoying another sea day. Attended a guest lecture this morning and will return to reading after lunch. Maybe a nap! Here’s wishing you all a wonderful weekend and sincere thoughts and gratitude for those who gave their all. Bruce
  17. Tis true. So glad we elected to stay on for the detour. As we start our second sea day the Med is smooth and it’s a little hazy out there. Tonight another dinner outside at pool deck. The Onward has been getting a facelift. Newly varnished rails, lot’s of general painting. Dry dock will take care of hull which needs a touch up. Here on deck 8 our cabin has not had one issue. All has worked as advertised. Of course there are those verandha chairs!
  18. What a beautiful and special Asian dinner tonight on Onward. Perfect weather and another special evening with our fellow guest.
  19. Having lunch outdoors on Sunset Verandha sailing the Gibraltar Strait with Africa on starboard and Spain and Gibraltar on port is priceless.Beautiful day and I hope that continues as to ight’s Asian themed dinner will be on Sunset Verandha. Onward is now cruising along on a smooth Mediterranean Sea. Build your own pizza was again a very popular lunch option. I’m savoring this beautiful day on Onward.
  20. Enjoying an outdoors lunch on a beautiful sunny day with Africa on our starboard and Spain and Gibraltar on our port side, as we sail the straits into the Med. A lot nicer than last June in the rain. Lot’s of ships. It was another build your own pizza lunch option and tonight is Asian dinner on aft Sunset Verandah. Last night we enjoyed a guest violinist and tonight a guest flautist from Britain who is getting don’t miss promotions. We have definitely been entertained Thank for the reports and post. Bruce
  21. No green flash tonight but definitely saw one a couple of weeks ago. Only other time was in Princeville, Kauai.
