  1. Thank you… I’m lost. Rough ride tonight on Onward.
  2. Me thinks you’re right! What a great cruise and experience.
  3. Today we did a short stay in Port Louis, Mauritius. Basically a fuel stop but we did manage to go ashore for a whirlwind tour. Getting ready to sail for another four days at sea before Port Stanley. Last night’s dinner under the stars was nice and we enjoyed a couple songs from the Marky’s.
  4. It’s a beautiful day in Port Louis, Mauritius. Basically came here for fuel but we did manage to take a short excursion where we stopped at a Hindu Temple. Then we visited an old coffee plantation home with beautiful grounds and rooms. Walked around the modern town center. All aboard was 1:30 and we should be sailing at 2:00 PM for another four days at sea. Weather is cooling as we sail further South. Tonight we have a choice of dining in MDR or a grilled seafood dinner in the Patio. Will check out the guest comedian and hope he is better then usual comedy acts. Enjoy the Kentucky Derby which we would normally watch if home. Thank for the reports and post. Bruce
  5. A very nice cocktail party on Sunset verandha accompanied by a beautiful sunset. Pool deck very nicely decorated for tonight’s dinner under the sky.
  6. Nice cocktail party on aft verandha and a beautiful sunset. Goodnight from off Madagascar on the Indian Ocean.
  7. Another day of sailing on the third largest ocean in the world. Tomorrow we get to go ashore as we visit Port Louis in Mauritius. Then it will be four more days of sea before we leave the ship for three days on a mini safari. When that happens there will be only 45 guest left onboard. Tonight we try dining under the skies again and one of the dining options is a filet and half a lobster. Entertainment will be the ship orchestra playing Big Band era music and they will be followed by the Other Guys. Tomorrow’s visit will be mainly for fuel and probably some perishable supplies. We have a ships whirlwind tour of Port Louis as I believe sail away is around 2:00 PM. That’s what’s happening in our neighborhood and we wish you all a good weekend. Thanks for those who keep the Daily running and post. Bruce
  8. Great cruise blog. Thanks for sharing your cruise experience.
  9. Onward World Voyage doing 32 days around Africa avoiding our original “Spice Route” by going around Africa versus Red Sea and Suez Canal.
  10. The much needed nap was a success and we will soon be attending trivia and when that’s over getting ready for cocktails followed by dinner. Last night they closed Windows (Lido) and put on a feast for crew. It’s very obvious that this is a Happy Ship and the crew is very well taken care of. @JazzyVI’m very happy to hear that your recent surgery is giving you some pain relief. I hope that continues. Tonight we will be dining in Aqualina our Italian specialty restaurant with a couple from Toronto. Follow that with our guest ventriloquist whom we enjoyed on his first show. So not much else to share. Have not seen a ship for days now and there are times when we walk into a venue and we are the only ones there. Enjoy your day. Bruce
  11. Another sea day with a noticeable ocean swell. Went to a tech lecture just finished lunch and I believe our next activity is nap time. Thanks for the fleet report and post. Bruce
  12. Good day. During the night we crossed the equator for the fourth time this voyage. Indian Ocean is pretty much a millpond today. They did a great job of decorating Windows (Lido) last night as there was a 50/50 chance of rain. The culinary team does such a fantastic job on special dining nights. The Other Guys quartet put on a great show last night Tonight will be “Almost” Newly Wed show and Tom on guitar/piano. He’s very good. So we are chugging along cause that’s what you do when circumnavigating around Africa. Have a great, safe and healthy May. Bruce
  13. Graham .. Haven’t seen any rabbits on the Indian Ocean today. Matter of fact we haven’t seen much of anything out here. A whale spout awhile back. Anyway Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit back at you.
  14. Time heals but great memories last forever. Thanks for checking in and wishes for acceptance.
  15. In a mass practice emergency drill yesterday Milan was deceased but miraculously arose and back to his wonderful service. Agree he is a great ambassador for Azamara.
  16. Tonight’s Dinner under the stars was moved to Windows. They really decorated a special venue along with entertainment.
  17. Yes upgrades were offered but not aware of how much. Haven’t met anyone yet who upgraded.
  18. Good Day To You All. It’s just another sea day here. Currently headed South about 250 NM above the equator and a good distance off the Somalia Coast. Back in the Indian Ocean we are moving along at around 16.2 knots on a relatively smooth Indian Ocean. Weather has not been great for pool and outside activities with cloud cover and occasional showers. Which leads to debate whether tonight’s Dinner Under The Stars will become Dinner Under The Ceiling? The Other Guys quartet are back performing tonight with the theme Legends. Elvis, Bee Gees, Chuck Berry and likes. In browsing through the Daily several of you or spouses/friends are having some medical issues and are in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks for the reports and post. Bruce
  19. Here on Onward it’s just another sea day. We are currently cruising along around 16 Knots on a rather smooth Indian Ocean. We are around 250 nautical miles above the equator and hundreds of miles off the Somalia coast. We attended our astronomer lecture and have just enjoyed a lunch at the Patio. The weather has not been good for pool lovers with clouds and occasional showers. That has caused tonights’s dinner under the sky to be held in Windows. Only bar open tonight is Living Room but I would presume tonight’s Cabaret show of the Other Guys one will have drink options. Tonight their show is entitled Legends of Rock and Roll. Tony Marky gave a lecture yesterday on the Pursuit’s Cruise to Nowhere which was entertaining. We all were told up front that this would be a different cruise experience if we elected to stay onboard. For someone who needs lot’s of activities this would be hard. For us a good book and passing sea and conversations with our World Voyage family works for us. From what we have heard total crew is down about 97 Culinary down 45. Hear they are touching up and repair work in some of the empty cabins. That’s the way it is on the beautiful Onward. Bruce
  20. I did let security know our background that I still could shoot accurately.😁
