  7. Today out here on the vast Indian Ocean our culinary team put on an Indian Rice Table Brunch that was beautifully presented and so delicious. We ate sparingly as we have a Chef’s Table Indian dinner tonight. Tomorrow Sri Lanka where we are on a 4x4 vehicle hoping to see wildlife out on the Savanna. What a marvelous experience.
  8. Our Indonesian Rice Table Brunch on Onward today was over the top. Another outstanding meal by our great culinary team.
  9. After being aboard Onward since January I can’t imagine our cruising experience could get any better. Yes there has been a couple of hiccups especially with excursions but we have had a wonderful time.
  10. Gulf Stream could give you a couple of nice days in beginning but after that it could go either way. One crossing in late April we encountered 20-30 foot seas and another it was fairly nice and able to enjoy outdoors. Light jacket and sweater are always recommended in Europe.
  11. Good afternoon. For some reason I couldn’t log on to CC all afternoon on I Pad. Just switched to phone and voila! We had a lazy day. Attended a lecture. Currently headed for cocktails then dinner in MDR Discovery. Big entertainment tonight as the house orchestra will perform Bourbon Street music followed by our Cruise Director Eric who is an outstanding performer. The musicians in the ships orchestra are exceptional musicians. Captain stated at noon that we have sailed over 22,000 miles since leaving Fort Lauderdale. Thank for the reports and post. Indian Ocean is smooth with periodic showers and hot. Bruce
  12. From somewhere on the Indian Ocean goodnight to all. We set our clocks back and hour last night. Tonight we set them back 30 minutes. 8:00 AM and it is roasting outside. I believe we will enjoy our sea day inside. Off to morning Trivia and then a guest lecture at 10:00. Bruce
  13. Sabang, Indonesia was very hot as forecasted. Toured through the market place. After going through the meat market I decided to join the local and fast. Tomorrow is the last day of Ramadan so the families were stocking up for a big feast. Two sea days and our next port will be Sri Lanka. @St Louis CruiserSande a a belated Happy Birthday. Thanks for the post. Bruce
  14. Sabang, Indonesia today. Another hot and sultry day. Toured through the market. After the beef market I chose to fast on this next to last day of Ramadan. We were scheduled for a hands on cooking class which turned out to be more of a demo. Sail at 5:30 and have two sea days before our next port in Sri Lanka.
  15. Happy Anniversary to @erewhon and @Overhead Fred!🍾
  16. Just arrived in Sabang, Indonesia. It’s going to be another hot and sweltering day. Have a good nights sleep and will catch up with you all on tomorrow’s Daily. B.
  17. Good morning/Evening. Pretty much a needed lazy day at sea. We have been sailing in the Straight of Malacca one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world on the Adaman Sea. We have had many ship sailings today including some super tankers. The sea has been very smooth and like glass at times. We did have some excitement around noon when we passed under a pretty heavy thunderstorm with some impressive chain lightning. We also were treated by a water spout on our starboard side. Due to weather our scheduled dinner under the stars tonight has been postponed. Last night we enjoyed the folk singing of a lady from Australia. She had a beautiful voice and sang many 60 era folk songs from Dylan, Baez, Seeger and so on. Tonight we have a guest violinist who plays several string instruments. We’ll see. Tomorrow we visit Sabang, Indonesia and our excursion will take us to local markets and then to a chef’s residence for hands on cooking class followed by lunch. Thanks for the Reports and post. Enjoy your day. It was a pretty good Monday here. Bruce
  18. The car with flags was covered in Malaysia flag. Does look a little like US.
  19. Good evening. Back at sea after a day visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Docked alongside Crystal Serenity today so maybe one of Roy’s old ships. Rode about and hour from port to Kuala Lumpur to visit the temples. It’s Ramadan so many Hindus’s fasting and visiting temples and climbing the 278 stairs to worship at the several temples in the caves. Saw the gates and entranceways to the Kings Palace with it’s standing and mounted sentries. Saw Independence Square where they gained independence in 1957. Dinner at Chefs French Table followed by a lady from Australia who did an outstanding job of performing songs from the 60’s folk music scene. The skyscraper towers use to be the highest in the world but hearsay says Dubai has the highest. 👏👏 Clocks back an hour tonight. Sea day tomorrow before our next port Sabang, Indonesia. Life is fantastic and enjoying our first world cruise. Thanks for the reports and post. Bruce
  20. Not much time here on dinner and entertainment but here are some pics from our fantastic visit to Bay Gardens and Flower Dome in Singapore today. x in TV
  21. Just a few pics from last night’s water light show in Singapore.
  22. It was a busy day yesterday. Over 15,000 steps two excursions that the second got us back to ship at nine PM. The nightly water light show was fantastic. Right now it’s up early to get ready for today’s excursion. Hitting some sights we didn’t see yesterday. We sail at five today. It will be fun to see our new pax trying to find their way around the ship. It was also nice to not see our bags in the hallway last night. We will finally need to attend the life boat drill today. Enjoy your evening. Bruce
