  1. Does Silver Dining Room (not Silver Lounge) have same or different menu as Main Dining for dinner, is it being served? Or is it a buffet all the time? I am confused. I am looking at a short cruise from Singapore while in Asia with my mom, celebrating her big birthday. She does not want me to spend money so she insisted on an inside room. I want to treat her to something nicer. I see some junior suites available for around $400 more on a 4-day cruise. Do you think that's worth the splurge? Thanks for sharing your experience.

  3. We won't have local currency ahead of arriving Buenos Aires EZE. Does taxi accept US$ or credit card? What is a reasonable fare from EZE to BA hotel? Does EZE airport have free WiFi, we cannot count on ordering Uber/Lyft on my phone. Does anyone have info on purchasing a sim card at the airport? Thanks OP for posting this subject.

  5. I found some free walking tours in Montevideo. Guides work on tips. I'm unable to find an English walking tour that works with our ship's docking time. There are some Spanish ones. Do you know of any company or guides that offer flexible time to start tour and meeting place? The tours do not start near cruise port, we'll get a taxi to meet up or hope to find one that meets near the port within walking distance. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or recommendations. I love to read your review if you have participated in one of these free walking tours.
  6. Can NRD fare be repriced without penalty for the same cruise? I'm looking at a 2024 cruise, unsure if I should book refundable or non-refundable. Also, I made final payment for an upcoming cruise, my cabin type is sold out. Will they give me the current $50 bonus at the same fare I paid?
  7. Do you have Fantastica? I found out any changes (before or after final payment) is counted toward '1 free cruise change' of Fantastica. I made a change before final payment and had no knowledge that they used my '1 free cruise change' for this already free of charge transaction. If I had known any changes (whether before or after final payment) is counted toward 1 free cruise change, I would have cancelled and rebooked before final payment. Hope you'll check it out and not be surprised and disappointed like I was when I asked for a change after final payment. Fantastica allows 1 free change before 30 days of sailing. I couldn't use this benefit because they used it toward a change before I made final payment.
  8. We'll be there in February 2023. On arrival day at BA (EZE) mid morning, we will take Aerolineas 6 pm from AEP - IGR and return 5pm next day. Roundtrip is US$230 pp, it offers some flexibility to change flights and includes carry-on and check-in bag. The low cost airlines Flybondi and JetSmart have lower base fare but they charge extra fees for everything like seats, bags, carryon, check-in etc. Too confusing to deal with and there are many reviews about flights being cancelled without advance notice. We plan to taxi from airport to hotel, hotel to the Falls and back to airport, budgeting $20 each way. We will wait till we get there to buy tickets to enter Iguazu. Will be there in line before ticket booths open. I read about entry fee is lower at the gate than buying online in advance. The advance purchase is a voucher to exchange for ticket at the gate, so you still have to wait in line to get entry ticket. Hotel is about $100 for 3 people, we booked few months ago but same hotel is more than double the cost now. Our other family members are not crazy enough to do this hectic overnight excursion, they'll sightsee in BA before cruise.
  9. They advertise Fantastica allows '1 free cruise change' up to 30 days before sailing. Changes are already free of charge before final payment on refundable deposit This benefit costs extra. I thought I was paying for the benefit to get 1 change during penalty phase. I think most consumers would interpret it that way. I feel they were wrong to unfairly use my '1 free cruise change' toward a change I made before final payment when I already had the free choice to change whatever I want before final payment. I incurred the fare difference for that change. I added my daughter and asked them about changing promo to balcony upgrade with OBC. They said I can add extra person but can't change category or promo because I already used '1 free cruise change'. I had no idea the rep in August used my '1 free cruise change' for something I changed before final payment. If I had known that's their rule, I would have cancelled that booking and start a new one. I read T&C, it does not mention every change counts toward '1 free cruise change' even when it's before final payment.
  10. My reservation is for Fantastica which includes '1 free cruise change' and other benefits. I made a change one week before final payment in August. I'm now in penalty period, I called to add my daughter and asked about using the 1 free change for current promotion of balcony upgrade with OBC. The rep said I already used the '1 free cruise change' in August therefore I can't change promo. I reminded him the change I made was before final payment. He said that counts toward '1 free cruise change' and I already used it. What?! If I had known that was the case or if the rep had told me, I would have cancelled the booking (before final payment) since deposit was refundable and then book a new one. Please be aware of this rule.
  11. Is this at Volunteer Point? I have been wondering about ground condition and smell at penguin colony. I couldn't find info until I saw your post. What is the muck? Could that be poop? We're traveling with grandpa with cane. I don't want him to fall or in distress on penguin excursion. We may have to book one looking at penguin from afar instead of walk with penguin.

  13. We booked cruise-only rate and has a large amount of shipboard credit from Celebrity during the July double offer. Can I use some of that shipboard credit to pay for gratuity?
  14. I checked my booked 14-day cruise at current promo 60% off 2nd guest, it is $3000 higher now! My current one has Always Included becuase No Perk was not offered when I booked the cuise. If I later remove AI, does X re-price at whatever their current promo is? Or will they simply remove the AI perks at $50/person/day based on the rate I already booked? No perks suits us better because we rarely drink alcohol. 14-day cruise at $100 /day will reduce my rate by $1400 without perks. However, it won't make sense to do that if they force me to re-price at current promo. Does anyone have experience with removing AI at their already booked cruise?
  15. I read about Aerolineas in Argentina's 800# has lower fares and more flights than published on line. I have not be able to find their Argentina 800#. Please post if you have that number. We arrive 8:30am EZE on a Sunday. What's the earliest flight to IGR to book? How much time should I plan for retrieving luggage, clear custom and ride to the other airport?
  16. $800/person less without perk for 16 days. So it's good to figure on $50/person/day x number of people less than Always Included. Thank you!
  17. Is No Perk Rate about $50 per person per day less than Always Included fare? We have already booked 2 rooms SV & C1 for 2023 14 days. I called to see what No Perk rates would be, both rooms (2 people in each ) are $1400/room less, so $700 less per person without perks. I think it's worth switching to No Perk for us. Please post if you have changed your existing booking to no perks and what's the cost difference. Do they take away the original air discount when someone has air discount on the existing reservation?
  18. Celebrity Air did not honor what the rep told us. She booked us at full price said they will add promo discount during the week ( I called on weekend). Well.....received an email saying they can't honor air discount because it had expired. Why didn't the rep rebook at the promo (same price) with air discount? The rate was same on the day I called on weekend. Spent hours and hours on the phone. They are terrible!
