  1. We had three weeks of move-ups on the Ascent. We had bought the premium drink package (pre move up) for the first two, received a refund (post move up) and received premium beverage package for those two weeks. This was for a Sky Suite and an Edge Villa. The third week we booked on board and then bought an upgrade to a Sky Suite shortly after the ship had sailed, we did not get the premium beverage. We had not purchased premium wifi for any of the three weeks, but did receive it in the Edge Villa. Just pointing out that Celebrity is a bit inconsistent.
  2. Depends on what you're looking for in a spa. I love the infrared sauna. I also enjoyed many mornings on the heated loungers.
  3. I did the same at some places in the Seaport area of Boston and found the same. Boston is not a cheap city. There were only a few exact matches, but most wines by the glass were between 13-18$. Very few over 22$. These are expensive places that gear toward people on expense accounts.
  4. People who can afford the PH, very often can because they've kept track of the "couple of bucks" for years.
  5. I guess someone should let the President and Marketing team know.
  6. Always the tipping point for me. Now it's being noted they are upcharging, telling you, but not giving you a receipt to sign. So you have to keep track of that. Sitting on the end of the bed, looking at the TV and trying to remember how many glasses of wine you had and what the charges should be as the sea passes by.
  7. I don't think it ever has been. I've been upcharged for certain wines through the years in Luminae. There is no way with Caymus on the menu there isn't going to be an upcharge.
  8. Having no receipt must make it very hard to keep track of.
  9. Both Veuve ($25) and Caymus ($35) are on the Luminae wine list by the glass.
  10. The wines listed in Luminae, by the glass for my Ascent cruise, show 9 within PBP and 9 that will be an upcharge. Based on her email, is she is stating all wines listed will be included if you have a suite and the PBP or am I misreading?
  11. Very happy all this was brought to my attention. Never gave it much thought.
  12. This is the problem with all percentage based tipping.
  13. I wish they'd get everyone on the same page. I was told, yesterday, for my Edge Villa move up that I had to keep my upgrade to Premium in order to use it anywhere other than the Retreat Lounge. ???
  14. Maybe they are the ones most ordered. I figured it was the case with the wines as well.
  15. Is Le Gran Bistro the only speciality open for lunch on port days? Rooftop Grill? Raw on 5?
  16. Yes. The difference in tips was added onto my move up bid when they charged my credit card.
  17. thank you for your responses!
  18. Are passengers in upper suites, with included specialty dining, able to eat at Le Voyage without an additional charge?
  19. This is me 100%. If I purchase a car with power windows and it arrives with crank windows, I have an issue. Not because I can't crank a window up or down, but because I didn't get what was agreed to in the price I paid.
  20. Being from Boston and the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party just passing, maybe we should start our own "tea party". Ask for glass, take a sip, not like it and ask for something else. That should get old for Celebrity pretty quick. (of course, just kidding).
  21. At Retreat bars (I'm not sure about Luminae), drinks were always included as a suite benefit whether you had a drink package or not. Suite guests who are awarded suites through the move up program may not have a drink package. What will the Retreat Bar do in those cases? If the Retreat bars are now basing pricing off the premium package, it would make sense that suite passengers with no package would pay the whole amount, classic and premium the difference based on package. It's going to get confusing.
  22. I think you are right on. Decoy is not a great wine, barely good, but popular because it's marketed well. People know it and know it's drinkable. However people also know what it costs retail and this is going to be a hard sell. Time will tell. I for one will not be drinking Decoy at $20 a glass.
