    Yes there was enough on the ground for people to have fun. I just went for a nice walk and enjoyed the views.

    We had snow on Saturday night, looked lovely on Sunday and had mostly gone by 8am on Monday. Perfect.

    I've been looking at trips for 2025 (I have 2024 sorted already) and finally found "the one". QM2 leaving on 1st March 2025. I'm looking at QA to the Med but want to wait until I've been on her next year before booking.

    I have been known to pick what was planned and then think, "I have a bit of space left" so pack an extra suit.

    I applied for tickets to watch Strictly being recorded in Blackpool next weekend. Sadly I wasn't lucky enough to get any. Today, I went to the Remembrance service in Oswaldtwisle where my Grandfather's name is on the list of those who died in WWII. A bit cold and wet but still a good service.

    Hi @MrsPeel55. From memory it's about a 20 minutes on the shuttle and 10 minutes on the train. The downside is that the trains are only every hour and the station is quite a walk from city centre. The coaches are not allowed in the city centre either so still quite a walk.

    It upside is that the steelworks looks very pretty at night.

    You are correct, The downside being that it is a 45 minute ride into Amsterdam which is where I expected to be docked.

    I usually take the free shuttle to Blankenberge and get the train.

    I've just checked my booking for QV and 29 April is showing as Gala Optional. 😮

    I think I would be inclined to look at renting a car, might work out cheaper than paying for 29 days parking.
