I went there on QE2 in 2000 so they have included them in the past, but it was not much of a tourist place so maybe that's why, but I expect is has changed in the last 23 years.
We had the first frost of Autumn today, but at least it's a lovely sunny if cool day.
I'm starting to plan for my October 24 trip now that it's less than a year off I can start to look at hotels.
The first half of the trip was a good as the second half.
The only thing I did find a bit odd was the mix and match crockery in the Britannia. Some looked like it had come from the Lido as it was plain white.
They are just behind the funnel above deck 10 over the entrance to the C stairway.
Hot spots are needed, I was in cabin 1091 last week and unless I stood behind the door, I couldn't get a signal.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your first trip with Cunard @MrsPeel55. QV is a beautiful ship and still my favourite of those still in service.
The crew were very busy painting outside on decks 3 and 10 so pretty much all trace of any rust was gone by the time we got off.
It was lovely to meet you too. @MrsPeel55 I'm glad you enjoyed the trip. We had some lovely weather. The bay of biscay was like a mill pond. I will done a more detailed when I get home.
I'm in the Queens Room on QV waiting for a piano concert to start. Packing has been started. I have been given a disembarkation time of 8.40am so that's good.
Have a great time @bluemarble
Yes no fish and chips at dinner. I will nip in again when the menus are out to get full details. However it was split into starters mains and puddings.
I can confirm they are serving dinner in the Golden Lion. The food selection is slightly different to QE.
One minor issue is they are still running the wipe out trivia at 7.30.
I had a cheese and onion filled Yorkshire Pudding starter. Followed by a burger and bakewell tart.
I didn't get back to the ship in time for first sitting so gave it a go. Better than the lido but will not rush back.
