  1. If this does not work, go to Guest Services after boarding and submit the request. Things are sometimes handled differently once you are on the ship.
  2. Visitors were also allowed on our Splendor cruise in March 2023.
  3. If you want to sit by the pool in the sun, you probably will not have a problem getting a lounge chair. But if you like to sit in the shade, you need to get there early.
  4. Yes, it is the same Jorge! We loved him on Silversea and now love him on Regent. We were just on the Splendor and he was in charge of the Compass Rose.
  5. I guess the bathrooms on Splendor are "dated" also because they have dark (black) marble sink countertops.
  6. Thanks, you made me smile. Many great memories of him. He was La Terrazzo to us!
  7. Could get a little crowded having dinner with friends in a veranda suite.
  8. We were on Splendor last month which had a Sunday Brunch on a Sunday sea day and also an evening deck party/dinner on a night when we stayed late in port at St Lucia.
  9. Just returned from a cruise on Splendor. There was no in person muster drill. When guests arrived on board the first day, we were directed from the lobby to our muster station where a crew member scanned our room keys before sending us to lunch. That was it. Of course the emergency video was playing on our TV when we first arrived in our suite.
  10. I keep reading about “rules” on this thread. No where does Regent refer to the dress code rules. Doesn’t Regent call them “suggestions” or “guidelines” in their publications? Or the “dress code”? Not everyone reads these as “rules”. FYI - we follow the dress code at all times, even though others may not and we are currently on Splendor.
  11. Why don’t you ask the General Manager or Jorge. PS - we are also on board Splendor.
  12. Yes, the pizza is excellent. But I hate to tell you that they are not Italian chefs.
  13. Wow, problems with 3 different butlers? Maybe the problem isn't with the butlers.......
  14. Is there a self-parking garage at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami on Brickell Key or only valet parking?
  15. In my world, going to lunch would mean giving up your chair so some other paying guest could actually use it. If you have to use the rest room, fine, your chair should be waiting for your return. If you leave the pool deck for any other reason, you forfeit your chair.
  16. Mainly because he was(is) a personal friend of the former owner.
  17. It is my opinion that Silversea's dress code is unclear on purpose, for reasons stated in cruiseej's excellent summary above, in which the last paragraph is right on the money. They could publish a concise, clear dress code very easily if they wanted to, but they do not. They want to market to all potential cruisers. and it is only a small percentage of guests onboard (as opposed to the percentage on Cruise Critic) who really care what anyone else is wearing.
  18. And how many Silversea cruises are for 5 days or less???
  19. Many times the casino and shops are not open until the ship leaves port. These late departures benefit the ship's deck officers and engineering crew who do not have to stand watches in port more than the guests.
