  1. We were on the sailing the week before you. We also had the team of Vinod/Juan Pablo. Loved them in Luminae! Vinod was horrified one night when we left before dessert! We actually had to keep explaining we were just too full to eat dessert and No, we didn't want it sent to our room for later!! They both made dinner such a pleasant and tasty experience!
  2. The expanded room service menu is just about everything you'd want! It took me a couple of days to realize I need to clarify a few things.....such as not just checking the danish option. I had to write in just 1 roll, otherwise, I got a whole basket of danish! The french toast was fab! It was always hot and on time!
  3. This is exactly how I read it......the description is of the beverage package and where to indulge it. Not how it was obtained. We had a CS suite and just went to lounge/bar and picked up drinks before going to pool or our balcony. We were out and about anyway!
  4. We recently got back from the Equinox cabin 1618 and it was a great trip. Cabin is just as those posted. Not up to date but certainly in great shape. The balcony was fantastic. We ended up eating breakfast out there nearly every morning. It was delivered exactly at the time we requested and it arrived hot! We are now spoiled with the larger room. For us, we don't think we'd go up to a higher price RS because the food in Luminae/Main dining room menu was more than enough and tasty. The thought of unlimited specialty dining is just too much/rich food! We didn't take advantage of all the suite benefits because we just loved spending time out on the CS balcony!!
  5. We did this a few years ago. It was during the day and was a gorgeous fall day with brilliant leaf color. We enjoyed the history and demos of making maple sugar. We really th Bbought it was a great tour. Loved the apple pie by the way!
  6. our experience too! They must have a set price they are looking to garner for a move up total. The more you paid for your original cabin, the lower the move up offer for cabins are.
  7. I love seeing all the decorations! Livens up a boring long walk down the halls!!
  8. Son and daughter in law married onboard RCI ship. We boarded early, cruise line arranged minister, flowers and small reception. It was just the 2 immediate families who cruised with newlyweds all week. We all had a great time and the bride/groom said they didn't regret this way to marry. The whole process was easy and convenient. The photographer took the couple all over the ship for photos , all before anyone else boarded!!
  9. We had 3 cabins booked for Alaska in June. Only 1 cabin ever got their luggage tags. Other 2 always said pending. When we got to port of Seattle, porter took care of it for us.......took mere seconds to write cabin number on the tag and we were good to go. Will never worry about no tags again!! And our luggage was in the room before the cabin with preprinted tags!!
  10. Sometimes things are just on your bucket list......and the older you get, the shorter the list should be!
  11. Thanks for everyone's input. I think I will try my hand at this!
  12. Thanks! I'm searching for that post ....
  13. Who has bought this package where you can blow a choice of pieces for your own? What are the options of choices? How much do you participate in this class? If it's terribly wonky looking, will they "fix" it for you? It seems kinda pricey but hey, I've never done this before so what do I know??!!
  14. We stayed at Homewood Suites night before our cruise. They had parking included for a 7 day cruise so for us it was a much better option than parking at pier. Took an Uber from hotel to port next morning for about $10 total for the 4 of us. (drive was only about 2 minutes)
  15. We were going to use SpringHill Suites which offered parking up to 14 days. It's located in Dania Beach which is just a few minutes from cruise port. We usually take an Uber or a taxi to port as cheaper than hotel shuttle !
  16. With all these replies, our excitement just grows! Also thanks for the pictures, TexKat! Great to see the real thing!!
  17. Thank you all so much for the info. I think some videos just contained stock photos as they were mostly advertising videos. LeeW, thanks for the photos! All of replies have made us so excited to sail this cruise that was supposed to happen in 2019!
  18. I have looked at several videos of the CS class rooms. All of them vary as to balcony space, lounge chairs and color scheme. Can anyone tell me what room 1618 might actually look like? We'd love to have a table/chairs plus 2 loungers on balcony. Videos show some with table/chairs only. Videos range from 1 to 2 years ago!
  19. Pass the Pigs is a small, lightweight game in it's own case. (2 x 5 inches) Easy game for all ages and doesn't last forever. Will occupy people while waiting. Canasta is another favorite but takes a long time. We love Mexican Train and Rummikub. Play them often at home, not just on a cruise!
  20. We are in the "pending" luggage status also. We leave May 31st and don't have any docs except sailing pass......Guess backup plan is just letting porters fill out some tags for us. Been sailing since 90's and this is a first for us!!
  21. Said post totally tongue in cheek!! PS......you can "win" champagne at the art auction?? ๐Ÿ˜‰
  22. I must be the only one who feels differently.........my sister won a beautiful tanzanite necklace set, another sister won a bamboo sheet set, daughter has won also. Me, I'm still waiting to win anything.......
  23. I am so sorry to hear of this news. Prayers of comfort to you and his family. I always read his posts and considered him a wealth of knowledge and truth. He will be missed on CC.
  24. I've been wondering the same thing! Not a peep on whether or not it will be a port call or not. Sure hope so as it's the main reason we booked this sailing. Martinique is a great island!
