  1. So happy you enjoyed the trip. We were happy with the cruise. Weather on Coco Cay could’ve been better, but the cruise line has no control over that. m
  2. FYI, your crown and anchor designation, and the fact that you are in a junior suite, has no bearing on how, when or where you park your car. Most people drop off their luggage, then park their car. if you park above level two, it’s a simple elevator ride down to level two and the walkway to the terminal. m
  3. What is the importance of your sisters C&A status to the story! M
  4. Me too. The wonderful mesh expandable nylon bucket beach bag. Use it for my snorkel gear on most all cruises. m
  5. You are famous!😄. I hope you enjoy the current cruise. m
  6. I guess if Royal eliminated the happy hour snacks, then the issue would correct itself. They’ve already eliminated happy hour complementary drinks. There would be no reason for the majority of folks to want to use the lounge during that time. Cost savings for no food and few if any staff needed during the happy hour time. No more infighting among passengers regarding who should have access to the lounge, and who should not as overcrowding would likely not be an issue. Then after that, they can tackle the other issue that causes negative responses and and eliminate the coffee machine. Many people complain about the lines to get coffee, broken machines, machine not available at the time of day they want coffee, etc. With no machine, there’s no issues. Problems solved. M ps-i’m sure many of you remember when Royal used to give welcome back gifts to most passengers like tote bags, hats picture frames, toiletry bags, etc. Lots of customers complained that they “already had that same gift, didn’t like the gift, wanted a different kind of gift,” etc. Royal solved the problem by eliminating the gifts all together. If I ran the company and customers were complaining about something I was giving away for free, I would simply illuminate the item. Why give people something to complain about.
  7. I can’t change my response (too late) so I’m writing to say that I did not realize the OP was referring to a suite guest. The suite concierge, of course, does not have as many passengers to assist. so sorry for any confusion. m
  8. Best to book them ahead of time. On some ships D/D+/P can be well over 1000 passengers looking for his/her services. Concierges will be very busy. m
  9. Doable yes, and some have even fewer, but it is a lower number than average. Just returned from an eight night Mariner cruise and the brand new Pinnacle had completed 63 cruises. The new Pinnacle, the cruise before that completed 72 cruises. M
  10. Just 39 cruises to reach pinnacles. Must be some sort of record. I have heard of a few very quickly reach Pinnacle by sailing solo in suites during double points. (Six points per night). The average is about 80-100 +/- cruises m
  11. Are you aware that in many instances, pinnacles are also restricted from the concierge lounge? So, both pinnacles and D+ are in good company. 😄 m
  12. I suspect that was not the reason. If you had one cruise at the time of the conversion, then you would likely have received 7 Royal Caribbean points. There was no combining of Royal Caribbean and Celebrity points that I am aware of in the 35 years I’ve been cruising both lines. m
  13. We never tried to get into the suite lounge either, because the written information we received from the royalty ambassador or concierge (honestly, I can’t recall who sends that information) let us know that we were restricted. I recall that often the loyalty ambassador is at the Pinnacle event. That is very nice. I understand some other officers come in, but we’re not there often enough to see them. m
  14. Pinnacles were not allowed in the suite lounge on the TA. They used Vortex for a private nightly Pinnacle event. I think there were about 160 Pinnacle’s on the cruise. At all other times or for Concierge assistance, Pinnacle’s were directed to the Diamond lounge. Since that was a private event, I can understand why people were asked to leave. I think however, it will be a little more difficult in the crown lounge. I can imagine some passengers getting quite upset and causing a scene. I suspect if a handful of folks are in the lounge at the beginning of HH, perhaps the Concierge will just let go. Sounds like a mess for both passengers and staff m
  15. I suspect the cost is a consideration and likely talked about in Miami. Many of the ships we’ve been sailing have well over 1000 diamond and up passengers. That would be tens of thousands of passengers per day on ships, getting 4/5/6 drinks per day for no cost to the passenger. Plus, I’ve heard many passengers say that, since they’ve reached diamond status and four drinks per day, they no longer buy the beverage package. (Lost revenue). however, I believe that Royal Caribbean has built this “drinks for everyone“ into some of their current pricing. we are all paying for it in the cruise fare. m
  16. I’m always happy when I see that. We have been asked to show our card when entering various loyalty/suite lounges. Royal simply doing their job. hmmm-perhaps they were only 10 people in the lounge BECAUSE they were checking cards 😄😄 m
  17. No-getting off. Won’t be back till late November. Enjoy m
  18. So you’ve never been inside of the Crown: (Diamond) lounge but you make up some story about what you imagine might take place in the lounge and then you post it here? Good grief. m
  19. Congrats, we were at the top tier and watched your recognition. It was done nicely. The LA is correct. The complementary meal kicks in at 1400 points and every 350 points after that. m
  20. Congrats. What ship/date? I’m sure you’ll enjoy your benefits. They are very much like the upper tier diamond plus benefits you are currently receiving but with an extra daily drink, a few more days of internet, breakfast in a specialty restaurant (or sometimes in a special section of the MDR-like it was during the Jewel transatlantic) and $25 additional off for a balcony and above. And of course, a complimentary seven day Caribbean cruise in a balcony (with a few restrictions) Don’t forget the best benefit, access to the Crown lounge😄.
  21. Please do your homework and provide accurate information. First of all, there are additional diamond plus benefits at the 525 level as well. Pinnacle of course starts at 700. There is no benefit at 1040, however, there is a free cruise (balcony cabin on a Caribbean cruise or a trade in value) at 1050 points. There is a free cruise at every 350 points. There is no specific extra benefit at 1400 points except at that level, every 350 point cruise benefit changes from a balcony cabin to a junior suite. There is no additional level needed. The original gap between diamond plus and Pinnacle was intentional and created to demonstrate extreme loyalty to the company. Regarding your Pinnacle comment, I don’t know how you can make such a nasty sweeping remark about a category of individuals. You’re basing your comment on perhaps something you heard on a social media site, not based on personal experience. Pinnacle bashing is the national pastime of this group. No one wants to admit they would love to be Pinnacle, it’s simply much more fun to bash others. Just to provide some more information to you, Pinnacles are generally not allowed in the suite/concierge lounge. While there may be a Pinnacle event held somewhere in the evening cocktail hours, Pinnacles are specifically assigned to the diamond lounge. They have as much right to be there any D or D+ passenger. Get off your “new diamond level“ pedestal and BE GRACIOUS AND ACCEPTING of all fellow passengers. M
  22. In our recent experience with a crowded Playmakers, food had to be ordered when seated at a table or the bar. You could not order food if you did not have a place to sit and eat it. Those never vacating a table made it quite difficult for others to have a meal there. m
  23. If a pinnacle is selected as one of the top tier pinnacles then YES, those sailing in the same cabin receive the same access as well. Seems like a strange policy, as no other access or benefit, is awarded to any cabin mate for any category. m
  24. I’ll be joining you on this cruise and will look forward to your review. m
