  1. So funny! But, only for those on the new ships. Once a ding, he/she can park anywhere. 🚢🚗 M
  2. I don't believe the ship captain, or any accountant can pick his/her parking spot at a port. M
  3. For a couple of cruises, we ordered the beach tote (the blue and white stripe) as one of our 3 gifts. It did not count as 2. I’ve never heard of any selection that counted as 2 gifts (yet). m
  4. Look to ebay for lots of logo items. Most, if not all, were free to the cruiser. Hats, T's, tote bags towels pins and much more. Many items from the Presidents cruise as well. My favorite is the $39.99 President's cruise cowboy hat. That seller has numerous items for sale and looks to be financing his/her next President's cruise. 😀 M
  5. Yes - the luggage tags default to the lowest C&A status. BTW - the status on the tag is meaningless. No one sees it and it doesn't mean anything. The bags are not sorted by status, and it will not arrive any sooner. You will receive all your D benefits and amenities. It seems you are aware that your cabin mate does not receive any of the D benefits. Enjoy the cruise. M
  6. WOW - Bad luck for them. They get the one of the thousands of RCCL waiters for the past 25 years who wants to charge a corkage fee! Never heard of this happening. I wonder he was telling them there was a fee, but he will "waive it' with hopes of getting a better tip. Regardless, glad you were able to help them out. M
  7. And to make to more confusing, many YEARS AGO ( 20 or more), there actually were welcome aboard gifts provided to passengers. I don't recall if it was all returning passengers, or those at a certain level. Items such as toiletry bags, photo frames, tote bags, fanny packs (cross body bags😀), hats, then there were snack baskets/boxes. It was not something one could select but a standard gift given to all eligible. Some used to complain about the gift (didn't want what was the current gift, didn't like it etc.) so RCCL got rid of the complaining by eliminating all the welcome gifts. Is this something you recall? M
  8. Enjoy your upcoming Pinnacle benefits! You may find many of your Master Benefits to be more beneficial than your Pinnacle benefits. When it comes to CK/Suite lounge you will never have to worry. Masters have full access. General rules are that the ship specific $25 dining voucher cannot be combined with the BOGO. And I took a look... 9 cruises at the conversation in 2011 was 76 points, just 4 points away from Diamond. So just one cruise or 4 points either way. M
  9. Thank you - some have confusion about the welcome aboard beverages (now just a few bottles of water) and the C&A tier amenity list. M
  10. The above is reality and standard practice. OP - if you are changed, it would be rare and noteworthily to post to let others know. M
  11. People were referring to a specific Cruise Critic invitation only meet and mingle that used to be held on ships pre-Covid. It was usually hosted by a Royal Caribbean staff, had some light refreshments (mostly nonalcoholic), and some door prizes. It was away for the people on the cruise critic page to get to meet one another. It had nothing to do with any type of crown and anchor level and was open to all of those who registered. The event has not been reinstated since the return to sailing several years ago. What you described seems to be some sort of crown and anchor party. Two different events. M
  12. You are right, I did some checking, There is quite a difference in pricing between junior suites, and the sky junior suites. I imagine it will cause a lot of confusion, unless they change the name of the “old“ (not sky) Junior suites. it will make it very difficult for staff to monitor any changes, that is, if there are changes at all. m
  13. Your crown and anchor status does not matter when it comes to a Royal Up. m
  14. My prediction is that “regular” junior suite access will eventually be eliminated and only the new Sky junior suites will have CK access. m
  15. Your D+ status is meaningless in regards to CK. D+ does not have access. Your junior suite accommodations will provide limited access. m
  16. yes - typically Chops on Oasis class ships. . We are happy with that. In fact, that is our preference. M
  17. Booked a few boarding day lunches but it was not offered for our Wonder cruises. Plus, a couple of upcoming cruises are on Enchantment - so no Italian restaurant. Great deal for the few we booked. M
  18. We had Labadee canceled a few months because of several medical issues on board, and ended up in Nassau, When passengers are expecting a free beach, free beach chair/umbrellas, free lunch, use of the drink package, free transportation, substituting a day like Ft Lauderdale is $$$ and sad. m
  19. In the past year, we have found that Pinnacles are often limited to two CK dinners per cruise. Lunch is on an available basis, and breakfast is not allowed in CK. m
  20. 192 is nothing. We had over 1000 D and D + on Jewel (same ship class) in September and of course everyone was allowed in 24/7. just a number so low, I’m wondering if that is now the procedure/policy for every ship or sailing. m
  21. Internet is hit and miss on ships. Internet was great, I had some issues at home and was able to use Wi-Fi calling and Internet the entire cruise. Umles you think you have something the matter with your connection/settings , I’m not sure what paying the voom folks a visit would do, In the past, when there has been poor Internet, I know some people have asked for a refund. Of course Internet is free for you. hope internet improves. m
  22. I hope there is not a new level at 500. That number would not make sense as the D+ 525 level already has an additional amenity benefit that is the same list as pinnacle. A level between D+ and Pinnacle is not necessary. The range was created to show extreme loyalty. There already are additional benefits at diamond +350 and diamond +525 levels. m
