  1. i shared that one on my facebook timeline… people got a kick out if it i think my favorite was the $100 tour with Tim Bits 6 more sleeps until boarding. cant wait.. took this the last 2 years, so had to do it again
  2. so its charter season on the Pearl… but they just put what looks to be a Starbucks kiosk on the pool deck. it wasnt there last month on the charter I went on..
  3. Pearl is going back into drydock in 2025, at least thats whats reported by Sixthman. (they’re using the Gem next year). seems a bit soon since they did a lot of work in 2021. i wonder if this one will be more public space focused… like they did with the Gem.
  4. yep.. all of the ones in black are IX - Inside Solo... the one circled in red is the one I will be in.. 🙂
  5. The Gem is going to be used for charters in 2025. the outlaw cruise I do every year will be on it 🙂
  6. I was on board when the code alpha went out for a cabin on deck 14... we found out later that it was Mojo 😞
  7. with free at sea plus aaaand my 2 platinum dinners, I do use one for Q.. Its passible enough...
  8. still not showing.. blah.. but at least my cruise isnt until March 🙂
  9. This is incorrect. NCL owns 100% of Sixthman. All Sixthman employees are NCL employees. the "strategic partnership" wording is just marketing. Ive seen this used in other places on acquisitions. From NCL's own SEC filings: "In February 2012, we acquired Sixthman, a company specializing in developing and delivering music oriented Charters. The purchase price was $7.5 million, consisting of $4.0 million in cash and $3.5 million in contingent consideration. As of September 30, 2012, we completed our allocation of the purchase price, which has resulted in recording $8.5 million of goodwill and tradenames related to the acquisition." And Sixthman's CEO is also an NCL Senior Vice President, Charters, Meetings & Incentives but.. whatever. 🙂
  10. Sixthman is owned by NCL, and the rules are supposed same on board. This was a banned activity until recently.
  11. The door decoration policy was recently and quietly changed to be allowed now. I only know it changed because an NCL subsidiary announced the change in the facebook groups for their charters...
  12. I would rather be "nickled and dimed" vs having large fare increases to compensate for the increased costs of things I dont use/consume.. etc. the only thing I really "buy" above the base fare is the premium drink package (on music charters.. no FAS), or on a regular cruise, i'll get the FAS+ ($210 for a 5 day cruise... and includes 2 more specialty dinners, unlimited internet, and premium drink package so water and starbucks..) I also may donate a hundred or so to the casino... but again, my choice.
  13. Starlink just announced Bahamas went live. so this should fix some things.. and crew center had an article on facebook with crew starlink prices for Epic...
  14. self disembark started at 6:15am ish for the Bliss last week, so it should be the same
  15. the Press release said the Viva will launch with Starlink. Starlink Maritime just released a new coverage map that is now global... when this was first brought up, Canada was not covered.
  16. got a question. my edocs say Casinos at Sea, so is that the line I need to get into? or do I go to the Platinum line?
  17. I treat the voucher like the free at sea grat for the dining program.. and tip $10 pp.
  18. umm.. they do. Sixthman actually trained a group at the NCL call center to assist in things that are unique to charter cruises. However, transfers are booked directly with the cruise line, and not Sixthman... this has been the case forever. You wouldn't call the Bon Voyage department to complain about a different issue. Even on board, there are digital signs telling you who to contact for issues... anything Ship or NCL related needs to be addressed by NCL.
  19. yes please… they already have a 90 min version they made for Vegas. 🙂
  20. i think they fat fingered it.. should be 500k
  21. O'Sheehan's menu changed this year.. its now the same as The Local. (they removed the irish favorites menu). Guinness was available on the Pearl at O'Sheehan's in February, but not on the menu. You had to ask
  22. Yup.. this is one of the reasons I like being on West Coast time... check in starts at 9pm. I am able to grab that early time 🙂
