  1. I wouldn't get too excited about getting it. It's an old program that no longer exists. You've linked to a preview page (i.e., something created by the web designer to show what the page might look like). No telling how old that page is, but it does not currently exist on the Celebrity website. In any event, it's also an orphan page, i.e., a page with no links to it. Click on the "onboard packages" link near the top to take you to the parent page, and you will find that there is no link back to the page.
  2. Who's worrying? I was just letting folks know what happened.
  3. My Azamara cruise from December shows up in my Celebrity account.
  4. Just to add a bit more complexity, it seems that the separation date has moved to March 16. We got off a Celebrity cruise just a week ago, and the points posted to both our Celebrity and Azamara accounts.
  5. I know the taxes and fees are refunded. I expect it's automatic, but I honestly don't know for sure.
  6. You can ask, of course, but our experience and understanding is that they are very strict about the age limits.
  7. Decanting also often is done through a filter to catch sediment. Without getting into a bunch of deeper chemistry, the sediment typically is the crystalline form of a tartaric acid salt. You'll find the same stuff on your grocery store shelf sold as "cream of tartar."
  8. You might get that or close to it from AQ to SS, but you also might be paying twice that. I've seen both. Regardless, it's way off from any other class. The difference between SS and veranda typically is some hundreds of dollars per person per day (i.e., thousands per itinerary). It's not even close. Yes, it's such a new program with so relatively few rooms in the fleet, and you're already dealing with a relatively rare situation. I suppose we'll just have to see how things go.
  9. If you can get a suite for only $99pp/day over any other room class (including AQ), then you either are grossly overpaying for the other room or have an amazing deal on a suite.
  10. I also have not been able to stack promotional discounts with CC discounts, and that even has applied to pre-cruise sales on the Cruise Planner.
  11. If you put a deposit down now, you still can get the benefit of a lower fare should it go down before final payment ("lower fare" accounting for promotional OBC and what-not). On the off-chance prices went down after final payment, then you just have to eat that. However, prices don't tend to go down right now.
  12. The discount is according to you Captain's Club level.
  13. I also disagree. The cost for us was something like $20pp/day after our loyalty discount. That was not difficult to justify at all, port day or otherwise.
  14. I agree that she is in great shape (or was back in December), but there were a handful of minor, relatively inconsequential things like what @Mercruiser mentioned. Along those lines, some of the speakers out at the pool weren't working. Given recent history, we certainly could understand that they would need to take care of such things while at sea and with passengers on board. That can take a while to run down all the punch list items or little things that pop up. We had a fantastic cruise and would go back on board Onward without hesitating.
  15. I'm pretty sure it was the same on Onward back in December.
  16. It's more like $20 for lunch and $35 (or maybe just $30) for dinner.
  17. As mentioned, just give them a call. There are numerous reports of folks having that fee waived when simply making a change of dates (even if there is no itinerary change). Indeed, many here need to have a nap or a cuppa before posting.
  18. Yes. Just go to any bar, and they'll handle it. You'll do well to choose a bar you intend to frequent, as the bartender gets a good benefit from selling the upgrade.
  19. No. They will not be Preview getting the benefits of Select. They will be Select.
  20. I completely agree, as does DW. The only complaint we had about Michael's was that it was difficult to get around because of the furniture. They've rearranged the furniture, and it's now easy to get around and very comfortable. We are not fans of the revolutionized Retreat Lounge. It was designed more for photos than for comfort.
  21. Same here. The points show in history (as does our recent cruise), but the total has not updated. I recall that happening in the past. No big deal. Thanks for pointing out that it also showed with Azamara. Our recent Celebrity cruise (off the ship this past Sunday) also shows up in our Azamara history. I never expected that!
  22. That is not correct. OP will have 0 points but should be at Select. Yes, call Captain's Club, and they should be able to straighten it out for you.
  23. If it makes you happy, then you're doing it right. A smile on your face is the ultimate goal. When I'm trying something for the first time, I always like to have at least a small sip perfectly neat, but I'm a habitual evaluator. If I'm happy with it that way, then I'll drink it that way, but I very often add a tiny splash. It's rare that I add ice, but that's me. You enjoy it the way you enjoy it.
