  1. Best feature about the Aquas are the balconies.... sea view, wake view, show view, people watching, anything you like.
  2. Right, I was using my example to answer Jerseygirl's question.
  3. I use downstairs, hubby uses upstairs. Same for bathrooms, nobody in each other's way when getting ready for dinner.
  4. I think it is a reasonable question, considering how concerned some people are about the organizer getting them... makes it sound like they are worth a lot, otherwise why the fuss? ETA, I am aware they are not, but it is a good facetious question, which is my favorite kind.
  5. Same price as Anthem 12 day TA, and that has 5 restaurants if you count the Chef's Table discount. Hate to take a cholesterol count after 12 nights and who knows how many lunches at Chops.
  6. Naples has other places to go such as Capri island, Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast.
  7. And what's with the lighting on every other step? That can be tricky if you're an early riser like me and don't want to disturb sleeping beauty husband. Although that is one benefit to the CLS, I can get ready downstairs while hubby sleeps in.
  8. I was furious one time when we tried to disembark, and the one rare elevator that came up to 17 was already full with 6 people who bogarted it by taking the elevator "up to go down." We ended up taking the stairs all the way down.
  9. I find Deck 17 almost too isolated.... half the elevators don't come up all the way to 17 and everything else on the ship is so far away. I mean it's great if you spend most of the time in your cabin but I like to "get around" more lol
  10. I wouldn't miss any, especially one I've never been to. As for Marseilles, I would take a ferry from the pier to the island of Chateau D'If, the inspiration for the Count of Monte Cristo- https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/chateau-d-if
  11. It must be... I tried to put the Celebrity offer on both my gold and plat Amex cards, and it would only let me add it to one.
  12. Crown Loft Suites are the stilettos of cabins….beautiful but impractical and uncomfortable.
  13. Does booking mean only time of booking, or can it be used for final payment? Last time I was able to use it for an upgrade to a suite.
  14. Glad you got the $600 reversed, though I’m sure there are Princess apologists who think you should have let them keep the money since the company is suffering so much. Hope you get the guarantee problem fixed as well.
  15. How much slack are you prepared to cut them? At best, Princess has incredibly unrealistic goals in their ability to sail at full capacity given the shortage of crew. Ay worst, they are knowingly and deliberately doing so when they know there is insufficient staff. Neither option inspires much confidence.
  16. Can you upgrade once you are on the ship if you get there and the selections are less than satisfying?
  17. If you don't have a card you can send a screen shot of your membership page showing your status and memberhship number.
  18. I think it is possible to recognize all of these efforts on the part of the crew and appreciate all they do, while at the same time also be unsatisfied with how Princess is providing a poor passenger experience while promoting otherwise. They’re running disabled ships, and taking on more passengers than they can handle as it relates to the number of staff. That’s a company problem, not a crew or service problem. I don’t see why some people don’t understand the difference. To put it simply: Staff, good. Company, bad.
  19. I’d say this is the second worst slogan in the history of advertising, the worst of course being South Dakota’s anti drug campaign from a few years ago. “Meth, we’re on it!” No I’m not kidding.
  20. Those balconies are also mostly forward facing so they’re incredibly windy.
  21. I just wanted to thank you for starting this thread. It asks a good question, and after reading so many reactionary hyperbolic responses on FB toward anything less than a 5 star review, I was starting to wonder if anything would be deemed unacceptable to some loyalists. Informative, honest reviews which I actually find helpful are blasted as “complaining” if mentioning simple basic facts that are less than flattering to Princess. I’m wondering if maybe the apologists just haven’t sailed recently.
  22. You’re obviously don’t know many Greeks….I already know what hotel I will stay at in Marina Zeas if we dock too late or don’t disembark in time for the flight. Flights to the islands are very cheap so flying the next day is not a big deal. It’s why I like booking land vacations between 2 cruises, and ending with a transatlantic to avoid flying home.
  23. Maybe you’ve never flown out of Athens but it is chaos 12 months out of the year. FLL is not only less busy but a lot more organized. However, none of this was my point. It’s about being mentally prepared with a backup plan. That is they key to minimizing stress, the stress of which the post I was responding to was talking about. Obviously if you have to return to work the next day, it’s harder to have a plan, but that is when you should choose the later flight.
  24. There are many double standards that are appropriate, for example a woman being sleeveless in a strappy dress or in a dressy sequined tank top would work even on formal nights. A man sleeveless in a tank top, not so much. And let’s be honest, unless your husband is a fashion designer he wouldn’t notice shorts if part of a romper since they usually look like a skirt.
  25. But it doesn’t have to be stressful….in October I am disembarking the Regal in Piraeus and have a 9:45 flight to one of the islands for a week. Why did I book such an early flight? Because it’s Saturday and that’s the only flight available that day. Sure I could spend the night and fly the next day, but I would rather do that only if I miss the flight I’m already booked for. Not everyone is in a rush to end their vacation.
