  1. As far as I am aware Indonesia doesn't charge for Visa on arrival for Australians, even my last cruise to Indonesia all Aussies were refunded the visa cost charged by the CruiseLine minus a small fee for Emigration to be on the cruise prior to arriving, if I remember correctly Vietnam was a bit different though as they have no visa on arrival so cost was above normal for a special short time visa issued onboard by Viet Emigration. Some nationalities on a WC would not be eligible for free VOA in Indonesia. Anyway Its just one visa on this cruise so I have no problem wearing any costs.
  2. we have been to Broome a few times and even on Cruises set for Vietnam and Singapore, I was flown up once for an SES search, man it can get hot and sticky! Yes we did the Komodo Island dragon tour, many on our cruise were pretty mad because you could only leave the ship if you had a pre booked ships tour, not sure if that's changed.
  3. Pity we just dont have the population numbers but given the rise in post covid Asian air fares local cruises might become a more popular option in the future? I could see Broome and Darwin cruises being full almost all year.
  4. 12 night Indonesia 3rd April 24, We have done this cruise quite a few years ago on Pacific Sun.
  5. But not sure P&O will live up to our past cruising expectations even Sad old modernized P&O? I know it will be fantastic in the end because we are social by nature and a cruise to me goes well beyond ship size age and modern food choices! The only reason I decided on this cruise was Home port to Home port and we are sick and tired of flying to and from destinations that take so much time and effort Of the cruises we have done over the years the home to home port Pacific Sun and Dawn have been the most stressful on memory. Lol
  6. thanks thats what I needed! I think I would rather be aft if the only midship have that door plus there is always the risk of being bumped later on!
  7. My favourite ship! Did the Mexico cruise out of Long beach CA on Splendor, maybe favourite because we managed to get an aft balcony? To me its just the right size.
  8. Is there a door inside the cabin? my cat BB options mid ship have adjoining cabins. Cheers
  9. Thanks 🙂 So there is no door inside? For some reason I was thinking an inside door would be there and take up wardrobe space! Too many hotels over the past few years lol
  10. Looking at the Indonesian Adventure out of Freo but balconies are very limited! I dont mind smaller ships. I did this cruise in the past and really liked it.
  11. Our last cruise we didnt get off at any port! lol Everything is on the ship, It was a bit of a strange thing to do though, bit like return sea days with less people
  12. I am about to book a cruise out of Fremantle on the old Princess ship PE but my Balcony options are very very limited! Does anyone have a pic or link of where the door is on a balcony cabin with an adjoining cabin door? We actually like smaller ships believe it or not lol
  13. Tracey and I (Dennis) have decided to return to cruising after a 5 year break! I have a few questions from the "Old salties" But now in our 60,s with 11 cruises behind us have decided a few future cruises may be the way to go!
