    Do yourself a favor and splurge for a balcony. You will not regret it...trust me on this one.

    We did an excursion with Eagle Wing Tours out of Victoria British Columbia on our last Alaska cruise during early September. We saw many, many whales. Very close. Also saw Orcas. Out of 38 cruises and many shore excursions this was by far the best one we've ever done. Booked privately, not through the ship.

    Same. We hit 81 degrees in Juneau during the first week of June on our first one.

    Same thing happened to us on the Magic one time. We stayed with them until USCG arrived. Slowed us down a little, but Capt. made up time after that!

    Liberty was still giving cash as of 2 months ago. If I had any sense I would have left it in my pocket, but nope....onto the blackjack table it went! 🤣

    We have sailed both within the past year. Definitely prefer Freedom to Vista. Vista felt very crowded. Vista does have Ji Ji's and a Red Frog Pub, but we are just fine with the MDR, Steakhouse and Alchemy!

    Liberty is our favorite " short weekend getaway cruise". We've sailed her 6 or 7 times. Try one of the aft-wrap balcony cabins next time. I think they are only on deck 6 and 7. You won't regret it!

    You have it better than us. Our port time is 2:30p - 10:00p During the winter that is more dark hours than daylight hours.

    I had the same experience with the crawfish fettucine. As an appetizer on the Liberty it was loaded with crawfish so I ordered it as a main on the Vista. On Vista the pieces of crawfish were so small ( I mean little specs) and very far and few between. Flavor was awesome but I want crawfish when I order a crawfish dish!😡
