  1. We are on the 2/27 10nt sailing and here is a link to my question of which excursion to take in Colon it has descriptions of some of the excursions offered in our cruise planner. They should be showing up in your cruise planner and it looks like the popular ones book up fast.
  2. Thank you for the information. It sounds like a good but long day.
  3. For your Colon tour was there time to explore on your own during the city tour and which locks did you go through? Was it a long day? Thank you for all the tips and information!
  4. @GJustice Thank you so much!! Sounds like some great shows. Did you eat at any of the specialty dining venues? We bought the UDP for $211.99/pp we thought was a good price so now to figure out what reservations we want to make once onboard.
  5. @GJusticedo you or anyone that was on a 10nt sailing have the entertainment/show schedule? Our cruise planner does not show anything and we were wondering what shows there will be. We just got off the Adventure yesterday and while on there were able to upgrade to a JS for our 2/27 sailing on the Radiance!! We used a casino offer to book the original balcony and when we called they had to get approval to put us in the JS because it was cheaper than our balcony. Didn't make sense to us but we were glad we were able to get it and a bonus to not have to pay more money. Since we get double points we will turn Diamond Plus on this sailing, yay!! We are home for 10 days and then on the Radiance.
  6. We were on the Allure a few weeks ago and no chips available.
  7. Thank you for the information and update and glad they handled it well for you! We are booked on the Eco Cruise on Gatun Lake if anyone has a review of that excursion.
  8. Has anyone done the Royal Caribbean Eco Cruise on Gatun Lake? If so what is the day like, how long of a bus ride will it be, trying to figure out if a sundress and sandals are ok to wear or should we wear swim clothes, coverup and beach or tennis shoes. After reading another cruisers review of their Panama Canal an IMAX tour where they did not get a chance to view the canal it sound like some of the descriptions are not quite accurate. On the Royal Site: Departs at Day 7 8:00 am Duration 4hr Activity Level Moderate Full participation may require extended periods of walking over even and uneven surfaces, steep terrain and/or water activity in a slight current. There may be steps, inclines, cobblestone surfaces, and extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitations should take this into account.
  9. For the first day Chops has a lunch menu and nowhere else so I guess that is were we will be able to eat on embarkation day for lunch. Giovanni's menu isn't up for the most part for the whole cruise, wonder why since I figure it's the same as other ships. I like that there are a few difference in the lunch and dinner menus and we will have to make a schedule to book once onward.
  10. We’re on the Radiance 2/27 10 night sailing and just bought the UDP. I’ll post all the dining options our cruise planner shows today.
  11. Well that's enough to convince us, lol. I just purchased it and we picked a time for the first night but it did not say which restaurant. Can we make all our reservations now or we have to wait until we board? I wish the MDR menus would hurry up and show up so we can see if there are any nights we do want to eat in the MDR.
  12. That was our first thought not enough venues to use the UDP but we thought it sounded like a good price. We have not done the UDP since 2019 and only on an Oasis class ship but thought we might like the variety since it is a longer sailing for us. We could enjoy some nice lunches on sea days. Do you know if we can do lunch on embarkation day in a specialty restaurant?
  13. We are sailing on the Radiance 2/27, 10 nights and the UDP is showing $211.99/pp right now (plus tax & grat). Is that a good price?
  14. Has anyone had any luck with a Yearly Primary Insurance Plan? We take multiple cruises a year now that we are back to cruising and it would be nice to just have to buy one plan.
  15. We also had put in some Royal Up bids that I just cancelled, we are happy with the Junior Suite and excited about the location. Only problem our old luggage tags are still coming up so hopefully this gets fixed so I can print the new ones.
  16. Last week we were trying to decide what to do for Valentines and said well let's see if the Adventure has any cabins left for the 2/11 5nt sailing. Luckily they did so we used a casino offer for a balcony cabin on deck 9 only having to pay, port fees, taxes & gratuities. We then realize it will also be Superbowl Sunday, yay sports. Today I was checking to see if any Junior Suites happen to come available and there was 1 open. I frantically call then after waiting on hold for 30 min was able to get JS 9318 and with adding one of my casino offers to the one we already used of my husbands didn't even have to pay any more money. So super excited for a JS, double points (after this we will only need 14 for D+ and we have a 10nt Radiance on 2/27 booked that hopefully a JS opens up) and our first time having a cabin on the Hump. Never really thought much about why people love the Hump cabins but remember I always see people excited when they get one. The location looks great and much closer to the elevators then our original cabin.
  17. Thanks -- I enjoyed those pictures. I'd love to hear how you liked: - The Polenta fries with spicy dip. Very bland, no flavor except for the sauce, would not order again - Sweet Corn Cakes -- did this come with a sauce? corn cakes were good, I don't think there was a sauce - Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie -- that does not look like a cookie! Literally the best dessert I have ever had on a ship!! It's more like they took cookie dough and stuffed in a ramekin then underbaked. We were very surprised how much we liked it. - Vidalia Onion Tart -- is this something of a quiche? I forgot this is actually and old dish brought back and I liked it better before. Yes pretty much a quiche. It was ok. - NY Strip Steak -- how does it stack up against the Steak Diane from the old menu? Hubby said he can't remember if he's ever tried the Steak Diane but did not care for the NY Strip. However he Loved the new Carne Asada on Mexican Night.
  18. I do like spicy and for me I felt the spice level was a 2-3/10.
  19. I think I would have also expected an orange flavor too. Honestly I thought the same when I saw your picture of it...I have to find that place and have that dessert! Were booked Dora for a tour and hoping we have free time in that area so I can get that dessert, lol.
  20. Thank you so much for your help! We don't do a transit on the 2/27 sailing just a stop in Colon and will rethink the tour options. But we are also looking at a Fall or later sailing that would do a full transit.
  21. Thank you!! We are sailing on the Radiance for the first time on 2/27 and visiting Colon & Cartagena for the first time and are excited. I think we finally decided on the Eco Cruise on Gatun Lake for our Colon excursion. We wanted to do one that went through some of the locks but after reading how long of a day it is and then sometimes the tours get stuck behind canal traffic causing the excursion to last even longer we changed our minds for now. Considering a cruise in the Fall on the Radiance that does the full transit.
