  1. Thank y'all for the information! Unfortunately the clamshells in Half Moon Cay are booked up but I will keep checking.
  2. We're sailing on the Carnival Dream 8/12 and trying to figure out what to do at each port, Half Moon Cay is the only one we haven't been to before. It's just the two of us for our 33rd Anniversary, like to relax on the beach, hubby loves seafood but I only like coconut shrimp so I think a food tour is probably out. Key West - plan to get off and explore, chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick is a must and maybe lunch somewhere, hubby would love to try some good cuban food or get some seafood Freeport- plan to just get off and walk around the port area then get back on and enjoy the pools onboard Half Moon Cay - have never been her so not sure, how early is the first tender so we can get a good spot on the beach (we are Platinum)? Is there just one main beach area? Are food and drinks included (we will have the drink package)? Nassau - We stayed at the Cove Atlantis years ago and also did the waterpark several years ago with our kids on a port day. Can you just go and walk around the resort for free or use the beach not the waterpark? Are there good beached walking distance to the port? I think I saw a day pass for the RIU how is that? I guess you would taxi there and back? Thanks for any input!!!
  3. Sorry I meant up to deck 14. Is there an entrance on Deck 12 which is where our cabin is?
  4. We booked our first Cloud 9 Spa Balcony room on the Dream 8/12. We haven't sailed Carnival in a few years but loved doing the thermal suite spa pass on the Breeze and Dream so figured we would book a Spa Cabin this time. Were in 12208, do we have access to the spa right there on 12 or have to go down to 11? Has anyone stayed in a Spa Cabin on the Dream recently? How was your experience?
  5. For the drinks on us everywhere onboard for both of us does it start on embarkation on the Dream out of Galveston? Does it include drinks from room service?
  6. Thanks for all the information! We haven't sailed Carnival since 2019 and are Platinum and also on a Casino Elite cruise. What is the chocolate dessert you order from room service? Do you just call and ask for it? What lunch options are there on the Dream on embarkation day?
  7. We love a cove balcony. A little more private, close to the water and extra nice when you come back from a long port day you don't need to wait on the elevator just a quick walk up a set or two of stairs to your cabin. Enjoy your cruise!
  8. Following along! We are on the Dream 8/12 same itinerary so looking forward to see what you do in the ports you get off. We are platinum but haven't sailed Carnival in a few years and have been on the Dream once. This will be our first casino Elite Cruise and we also are excited to have a spa balcony on 12, love the thalassotherapy pool and steam rooms, etc.. Being Platinum is it correct we can drop our carryon bags off in our cabin after we board even if they are not ready yet? Trying to read through and remember any perks we get. Enjoy your cruise before the school year starts!!
  9. Thank you @lazydayz for all the information!! We are wondering if our free excursion will be offered in Half Moon Cay which would be nice as we have never been there. Also just realized there's no Italian restaurant on the Dream, lol. We sailed on her several years ago but forgot about that.
  10. Please share any details and photos. Wondering what our shore excursion choice will be. We are on the Dream 8/12 sailing from Galveston to Key West, Freeport, Half Moon Cay & Nassau.
  11. Has anyone been on an Elite recently? We have our first booked on the Dream 8/12 out of Galveston so are getting excited!
  12. We're on our first Elite Aug 12th on the Dream so wondering the same. Thanks for all the information! We stop in Half Moon Cay so wondering if that will be where our free excursion is offered. Anyone on a recent Elite on the Dream with recent experience? Like everyone else we love hearing about your Elite experiences and seeing pictures.
  13. Thanks for the information! I forgot to ask for specifics until after we had ended the call, lol. It was great timing getting the offer my mom keeps looking for a good offer for the Wonder and us too. Hubby and I each had the offer so booked him in a room then mom and I and I will move to his room once onboard. They said we can add a second guest to his room if my mom ends up having a friend go. I think the only other event type of cruise on Royal we have done or had an offer for was a Beer Cruise in 2019 on the Allure.
  14. We got an email invite today from Casino Royale for the Signature Event at Sea on the Wonder with 3 dates to choose from. Of course we called right away and booked it for the Oct 15 sailing since we have wanted to go on the Wonder. Has anyone done a Signature Event cruise? If so how was it? I'll post a pic of it below.
  15. @Merion_Mom was the party boat tour a ship or independent tour? Sounds fun if you have any more information on it.
  16. We were on the Radiance 10 night sailing 2/27/23. We ate at Samba twice & it is a lot of food & yummy. Here are some pictures. I didn’t get the actual salad bar but did get our plate of food we got from there. They come around with the different cuts of meat in this order. Gordon or awesome waiter What we got from the salad bar. There was soup, salad & a few other things also. They bring out a bread basket. Sides they bring out more sides
  17. It does sound that way, lol, except for your oldest being 33 instead of 23. Thanks for the heads up on the Allure deal but we are already booked on her for August and go through the casino to book our "free" cabins. Yea we know they are not free but that's a running joke between my hubby and I.
  18. Following along and will have to check out your YouTube channel! We love the Allure and living a few hours from Galveston makes it such an easy drive in the morning of we have been on her twice since November. Sailed on her the first time in 2019. We have also been on the Adventure several times this year and the 10nt Radiance, love the new terminal. Now the funny part we are also early 50's and have 3 boys, oldest is 23 and 19 year old identical twins. They all love to cruise especially the Oasis class ships and have been cruising since the oldest was 2 and the twins were in my belly, lol. Enjoy the cruise!
  19. We did the 10nt Radiance on 2/27 to Cartagena & Colon and Loved our Dora tour. We were in Dora group 1 so actually had her as our tour guide for the day and she was wonderful! There were 10 in our group which made it nice, we also had a driver and another guide that would follow behind and help to keep us all together. We would love to go back to Cartagena and spend the day in the old town. In Colon we wished we would have done the locks and city tour as we heard great things about it that evening back on the ship. We did the Eco Cruise on Gatun Lake was just so so and would not do it again. Enjoy your cruise and I look forward to following along with everyones adventures! We would have loved to be on this sailing but could not make it work.
  20. Wow 274 days that's awesome! We finally tried a mini b2b 4nt/5nt and now have 2 7nt each b2b's booked for Sept then Nov and were also wondering about packing, doing laundry, etc.. It would be great to see a post after your long cruise how y'all managed everything from packing to laundry, rewearing and then I might need an extra suitcase for all the souvenirs after that long of a cruise. Enjoy your cruise!
  21. We tried our first b2b this year on the Adventure a 4nt then 5nt and loved it even though we had to moved cabins. We are now ready for a "real" b2b of at least 7 nights each, lol. My only suggestion would be to do the big family sailing first then have the second week be your relaxing one.
