  1. Enjoy every minute with Mom . After my husband passed 6 yrs ago my daughter told me mom I'll go with you when your ready. We have gone on 3, Oasis was the last one. We have next year's booked already 9 day on Explorer in March. It's like going with my best friend, Oh and by the way I had to sit through Cats too cause she had never seen it. I had a really good nap, 🤣 and she enjoyed it.
  2. I guess it's hit and miss because I did receive a 2 oz bottle and masks for Nov 21-25 Thanksgiving sailing. I must say of the 9 cruises I've made in 2 yrs the sanitary protocols were not existence. No one enforcing hand washing . No hand sanitizing station at Windjammer door. The hand sanitizing stations constantly empty . I also noticed the reminder that they would be sanitizing the halls in the middle of the night was not on the compass . Not sure if they did away with it. What a difference 2 weeks make was on Adventure for 14 days and all sanitizing effects were in place.
  3. Just got back from a cruise on Adventure with my sister and friend all 3 of us got a crystal Blick. The only change was, we went to C/A to ask for it. Last time I received a letter telling me I could get it delivered to my cabin, or mailed to me , or decline it. Ambassador told us they no longer mail them thats the only change.
  4. There is a way to do it. Go to rccl.com in search put in gifts when the page comes up I believe it describes some of the things you can get. Click on the part that says online, it will take you to the page. Then click on the drop down and choose alcohol and wine spirits what ever it says. Once you pick what you want it will ask ship and sail date. That should work, hopefully.
  5. If your parents aren't traveling till next year tell them to watch for sales. Black Friday is one of the best times to get discount drink packages, dining and excursion deals.
  6. My bag got misplaced in Fort Lauderdale about 7 years ago. We searched everywhere no bag , so I gave a description and figured it would eventually be found. It was found 2 weeks later at the Princess Terminal, still don't know how in the world it got there. The company that handles these cases shipped it back to us. I do have to add at the time we were smokers and had 4 cartons of cigarettes in the suitcase. I not knowing told the agent they were in the bag well they had to remove them cause it's against the law to send cigarettes via mail. The agent told me I could fly out to get them otherwise they would be disposed of. I'm on the other side of the country so I told him to toss them.
  7. I was on the Ovation the first week of June and everything was fine. Only problem was the weather wasn't the best Oh and I came home with extra baggage a case of covid. I just dt got off of the Quantam this past weekend now the food on there was sub par compared to Ovation. The The main stage production looked like a cheap copy of Ovation . Maybe things have changed in 2 months but it can't be that bad.
  8. Carry on luggage had to fit through an x-ray machine kind of like what the airport uses. Besides that unless you are arriving late the rooms aren't ready till around 2:00 and you'd have to drag it around with you.
  9. I thought that may be the case from your name. I found the prime rib and beef tenderloin really good on Navigator. Also try the Steak Diane if they have it , so yummy. Don't worry about dressing up , hardly anyone does anymore.
  10. My daughter and her family just got home yesterday and they lucked out 2 days getting one . She didn't go up really early to get it they were just open. As someone mentioned it is first come first serve for now.
  11. First day as others have said potato leek soup, yum . I've had it on every cruise for years except this past June on Ovation . I'm boarding Quantum on Monday hope its there waiting for me Got some beef sliders on Navigator for lunch one day back in February the best thing I have ever eaten in the WJ. Lastly any sugar free dessert that's not a mousse.
  12. I've done this cruise twice both a bit different. Loved them both. Victoria is one of my favorite stops. Astoria was a small town not much to see , except for the column very unique. Can't beat SF so much to see and do. You can do city tour or a tour over to Muir Woods. I have done Alcatraz twice once during the day once at night , that was the best. Also for some who may not know there is the Walt Disney Museum at the Presidio , it was wonderful . Monterey was nice we took the that brought us to Pebble Beach golf course, Carmel and other sites up there. And lastly on one of our cruises it stop in Santa Barbara, which we didn't get off the ship course we just live down the coast and wanted to just enjoy the ship. Glad we did cause we had a whale playing right off the port side for the longest time till boaters came along and scared it away. We did get to watch for quite awhile and was really one of my fondest cruise memories.
  13. It is to hard for me to do self assist . So if I leave with one of the first numbers called get a porter find luggage , can I make it.
  14. Yes there is, at the seaplex. I believe you have to make reservations so check on board.
  15. Hi all, Need some help, looking to book a flight after our cruise. I'm looking at a 12:50 out of Hobby on a Thursday in November is it doable?
  16. Yes I did test positive when I got home from my Alaska cruise in June.
  17. Are you kidding me false tests, no wonder this is never going away . I will never understand why people do things like this. I actually got home a month ago and tested positive for covid, lucky it was just a mild case.
  18. The drinks question were pretty much answered so I'll answer dome of the others. Yes they still have formal or as they call it dress you best. I found on the Navigator there was everything from formal wear to shorts and t-shirt. If you enjoy dressing dress up. I do but not like the old days mostly dress pants and bling type top. As far as entertainment there is the must see Ice Show its really good . Then the Showgirls production which is good also, I quit going to it cause it's the same show thats on several ships. The other production show hasn't come back yet that I know of. As far as everything else I found it lacking . This is where the CD falls short at keeping people entertained. Of all my cruises she is the only one I didn't care for. One last thing they do not provide a paper compass not even at guest services. You have to use your RCCL app for everything. If you want a paper compass ask your cabin steward to provide one every day. Hope this helps, happy sailing.....
  19. Thank you all for the prompt responses. The only place I didn't look was in the cruise planner I'll check it out.
  20. I read somewhere that you can purchase a bottle of alcohol before your cruise to be delivered to your room. If I remember correctly there were bottles of vodka, gin whisky etc. Am I remembering correctly ?
  21. Great review, following along. Can you please tell me how far of a walk was the Totem Poles and Raptor Center ? I'll be on the June 3rd sailing with my family and most of the excursions were sold out . Thought that may be something they can do if it's not too far.
