  1. Well, I can’t comment on the actual incident in KC, as I have only read about it and it was a long while ago, but from what I recall, it was behaving less than perfectly, and was being fed from/at the table. As you imply, it was probably an ‘emotional support dog’. Frankly, I would never trust any dog, but that is not really the issue, much more it was the discomfort and unhappiness of a considerable number of other KC users. 🙂
  2. Pre-Covid I was on a cruise, the first part of which was the Sou-Hamburg bit of a crossing, and there were certainly dogs in the kennels then.
  3. Which jurisdiction are you referring to? Personally I have never been bitten by a child I didn’t know nor knocked to the ground by one.
  4. I would call it sneaky rather than not a bad business strategy.
  5. Until there is a major holdup on the M3, which is not in the least unknown. As the strike days are signalled well in advance, I’d say the trains are more predictable.
  6. And warn the rest of us. I think I remember someone claiming they had seen a support dog in the KC. Eeek.
  7. Of course it was frozen, and absolutely not the worse for that. Competently and rapidly frozen fish is excellent. But it is quite important to remember to unfreeze it.
  8. But it is men who seem to need advice, don’t you think?
  9. How confusing for you. 😀 Did the person get off the island last night? It struck me, looking at what you said about the very rough terrain in places, one could have a nasty fall, break an ankle and be stuck.
  10. Have I missed it in my cursory glance, or does it not consider men? Strange, because they seem to have much more trouble over what is OK than women.
  11. But not the issue. And I believe it messes things up for adjoining cabins.
  12. Yes, I agree, this is absolutely not a minor issue. And there always are a few cabins, for exactly this sort of issue.
  13. I hope you have a better butler this time and are getting the in cabin drinks you want.
  14. Well that was a bit pathetic, wasn’t it? Hope you didn’t subside from hunger in the night. I wonder what amends they will try to make.
  15. I know you aren’t intending to go ashore much, but are you somewhere today?
  16. Have you got one of the ones on a corner? That should give a nice sense of space. I’m hoping the division will be all right. I assume it has a screen on each side, which I don’t necessarily want, but imagine most people do. As you say, something to look forward to.
  17. I think we must have the same brand of cabin (Q4?) which I’m actually a bit worried about, as the separation may make both halves seem poky and claustrophobic. As one of the main reason we go in QG is my claustrophobia, this may have been imprudent.
  18. If there were a route to cheap varifocal specs, that would be a useful thing. Also nearly all our knives are bone handled, which does not help the dishwasher’s cause.
  19. We have one only and barely use that, except when there are visitors. With just the two of us, it takes about three days to fill up, and I’ve run out of cheap glasses.
  20. If I wake in the night, which I inevitably do, several times, I like to see the moon glinting on the water, or a passing iceberg, or what ever.
