  1. If you are 3.30 (very near the end) and on Deck 6, one can only wonder where they are starting from. Have you tried ringing again and talking to a different person?
  2. Which deck are you on? And if it’s a perk offered in the (paper) brochure, they should stand by it.
  3. Surely that would mean the US site had most questions. 😀😀
  4. Farfalle, excellent. We’ve yet another type of pasta. And I think it is the right shape.
  5. Totally agree Vigo is nice enough in a mild way. Vigo harbour is huge and sometimes, as you sail in, you see the dolphins that live there.
  6. You never mention it, but do you have a glass of wine with lunch or dinner?
  7. You will go West along the Channel I imagine and then steam back or whatever the correct metaphor for diesel ships is.
  8. Poor do. Shocking. Perhaps it appeared for Christmas Day.
  9. The Southampton port website is never updated until the last moment, it just says TBA, which is annoying. Nonetheless, it doesn’t take very long to get back from Zeebrugge, unless the weather is awful. I bet you’ll be safely alongside by 7 am, as we were in one of the slower Vistas. Her next trip is a long one, so they’ll want plenty of time to replenish for that.
  10. Hmmm. Tiresome, but at least the GC was a starting point, where you knew where you were.

  12. Is that a US thing, or a Carnival thing, or is it all over and I’ve just failed to notice, being too engrossed in pineapples?
  13. Less trouble just to go up to the QG Lounge and get them to bring you some coffee, though I suppose it is a bit of a walk from the back. 🙂
  14. Do you find sufficient breaded and battered stuff on QE? Or did you just have to make do with plain?
  15. Yes, that is a definite problem in Venice, but eventually you almost alway come back to the Grand Canal.
  16. Possibly also, there is a distinction between contractors and shipyard employees?
  17. And they get table cloths. Note the nearest table has only cruets. They must go on first.
  18. The tower would be spectacularly beautiful even if it didn’t lean. Even in Venice as here, where there are zillions of tourists, if you take two turnings away from St. Marks Square down an unpromising ally, you can find yourself in a pleasant campo, devoid of tourists but with a nice cafe to sit outside. It is one of the strange things about Italy.
  19. I have never attempted to use the coffee machine in the room. I think I did boil the kettle once or twice, but really not often.
