We were on it at the end of November. As I remember, about three trips in each direction. We were leaving that day at 3 PM. Not sure if it runs more frequently when the ship is docked over night.
Lunch will be available in at least one of the Main Dining Rooms (Taste or Savor).
You will have to hold onto your carry-on until the rooms are ready. If you get on around 11, checkin at your muster station, have a drink and lunch at noon, it’s not that bad.
Once you get on board go to the CruiseNext desk and see if they are offering a wine tasting for Platinum level and above. They will also give you the day and location for the Latitudes party
Laszlo,
We got off the Gem last year in a blizzard. The ramps going down to the street level were cleared. The plow on the parking deck had made a few passes in the aisles. If you want to be able to pull straight out, you can’t park on either row of the outside spaces. You have to pull in head first. You might find a spot in the center where you can park to pull straight out.
Iimagine the worst case would be if it snows a couple of days before you get back and it freezes on your car.

We stayed at the Ink 48 prior to a cruise and we enjoyed it. Depending on which way your room is facing you may be able to see the ship at the pier in the morning.
One person is fine.
When NCL allows you to begin check-in process around 12:01 AM, skip ahead to select your check-in time at the pier first, and then go back and enter all the information.
If you're logged in prior to midnight, you might need to refresh the page for the check in tab to become available.
