  1. A respectful suggestion for next time, go to the Passenger Service Desk and ask for extra recognition cards, so each crew member can be recognised individually.

    HTH.

Thanks, we did this and handed all of them their cards. I just wanted to go the extra mile for some of them that were extra special.

  2. Just got back from a 14 day cruise on the Regal and had a great time. Met many crew members that were great. We handed out the recognition cards onboard to several of them, also mentioned them on the after cruise survey. Unfortunately, I missed one of the crew on the survey and he was AMAZING. I'm hoping that someone knows if and how I can do that since the survey has already been completed. I did give him one of the onboard cards but I really wanted to recognize him again. Thanks in advance for the help.

  3. Thanks everyone for all of this information. I had a question about the internet if anyone can help. I think I remember reading somewhere that on our cruise that leaves 12/3 some of the passengers that weren't chosen for trying out the ***** would receive unlimited internet at the faster speed, based on your loyalty level. We are platinum, so we do get free minutes, but I wouldn't mind unlimited. I just can't remember where I read it. Thanks:D

  4. My DH and I are both platinum, and we do enjoy going to this lounge most nights. Our next cruise in December, we aren't planning on bringing formal wear. Will it be frowned upon if we go to the lounge on formal nights in smart casual clothes? I know it's my vacation and I should do what makes me happy, but just thought I'd see what others thought. Thanks

  5. we have done the day pass at jolly beach resort twice and are going back in january. great friendly staff, awesome food and drinks. long huge beach and a refreshing pool, it is 75$ a person but if you can get 10 people it drops to 67.50 ,

Would you mind telling me how you reserve this? I've looked on their website but don't see anything about day passes. I would love to give this a try. Thanks:D

  6. We love to cruise in December and this last cruise we decorated our door. We used magnets, so no damage. Even had battery lights. My wonderful husband got the lights that had a timer, and we turned them on every night before we went to dinner. Our cabin steward had mentioned how much she enjoyed seeing them everyday. Several of our "neighbors" even commented how cute! Sadly, during the cruise, the Santa that we had on the door disappeared. At the end of the cruise, we asked our cabin steward if she wanted the decorations, she was so excited. She told us that the ship had a contest for the best decorated door for the crew.

I say, if you want to decorate, go for it! The entire door is magnetic and you can find really cute things at any dollar store and just add the magnets.

  7. One thing to consider - you'll be asked to complete this medical questionnaire before your Discover Scuba class. If you answer Yes to any of the questions you may be medically disqualified. Since I'm over 45 and I take a statin to control my cholesterol level I ask my doctor to complete the medical qualification attached to that questionnaire during my annual physical so there won't be any issues with a dive operator or instructor.

Thanks for this, we should be good to go:D

  8. My experience was a good one, as I said, it inspired me to get certified. There was one odd thing about it. The cruise line usually screens active excursions to make sure it isn't to strenuous for some people. We had one lady in our group who couldn't swim! Why do you take a scuba class if you can't swim? I guess she wanted to see what was down there.

All I can say is WOW!!

  9. My husband and I will be on the Oasis in a couple of weeks for the first time. This is also our first time in a full suite. We usually cruise with Princess, but I've been wanting to try the Oasis forever, and he finally said yes. Then he even went for an Owner's suite. I have been reading everything I can find about this ship and being in a suite. When we sail on Princess we normally do self walk off because it is so much quicker. I think that I remember reading that the concierge would have a couple of times for walking guests off. If you do this do you keep your luggage with you? If you leave it outside your door the night before, is there a separate place for suite luggage? I tried finding the post that I saw but I couldn't. Thanks so much for the help!!!!

  10. My husband, daughter and myself will be going on the Oasis in May in the Owner's Balcony suite. We've only been on Royal tweice before and both times were on the Explorer and in a balcony cabin. I'm looking for any tips and tricks about the suite perks, and I had a few specific questions.

Since there will be 3 of us in the cabin, what are the chances of getting an extra lounger, and who would we ask? Not the end of the world if we can't just a thought.

I read about the Suite Sun Deck, what is this?

What is the Thermal Spa room?

Should we book our shows before we board, or did I read correctly, that we have special seating and don't need to do this?

Thanks so much for the help, we have done most of our cruising with Princess, so I'm looking for any help that I can get.
