Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. All 3 days are worthy of celebrating. My salon just closed, but fortunately my stylist is moving to another one in the same block. Good quote. The meal sounds good. Yes to the drink and pass on the wine. I have been to Greece, but not Santorini. A good day in history. It's cloudy and cool here. Well, I went upstairs to sleep last night, but my sleep was less satisfactory. It was hard to scoot toward the center of the bed, and then get settled. Then I tried moving the head and foot of the bed, but that wasn't comfortable either. I finally fell asleep in my old position, but only got about 4.5 hours of sleep. I think for now the recliner is more comfortable, given the incisional discomfort. It wasn't due to leg pain or tingling, however. So back downstairs tonight. BFF is very attentive, being behind or in front of me on the stairs. @ger_77 Happy 83rd Birthday to Maurice! @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up, Sandi. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll pass on Sauvignon Blanc day, as I mainly drink red wine. I'll celebrate St. Mark's Eve. I hope animals in labs are treated humanely. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal (fish), yes to the drink and pass on the wine only due to cost. I haven't been to Leknes. It's 54F and partly cloudy. I stayed downstairs again last night, in the recliner. I slept about 6 hours, which isn't far off my usual amount before the leg issue. Still no pain and no tingling, yay! My back is stiff and sore when I move. I put my compression stockings on this AM, which was a chore. So far I'm mainly using Tylenol and the muscle relaxant. I think I'll try going upstairs tonight. BFF and I laugh, as I change his MOHS dressings and clean the wounds, and today we'll remove my dressing. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute the English language and English muffins. I knew nothing about Impossible Astronauts. I'll disagree with the quote. The meal looks good. Pass on the drink and I can't afford the wine. I have been to Kona. It's 61F and sunny out, but I'll be indoors. I was to arrive at the OP surgical center at 10am yesterday, for 12pm surgery. But I didn't get taken back until about 12:45, as one of the surgical trays wasn't there. Then there was all the prep. I only remember a large room, with a lot of equipment and trays of equipment, as well as an unusual face down type of bed. I didn't have to crawl onto that, as I was out before then (I pity those lifting me onto it). The procedure took about 3 hours. BFF says when the surgeon came out to talk to him, she said it was much more messed up and more involved for her, and she could understand why I had so much pain. The next I remember I was in recovery, shivering away. My temp was down and they had me on a warming blanket. Finally I was ok to go, around 7:30. Unfortunately my meds, something for pain and a muscle relaxant, were called to my pharmacy, but it was closed by the time we got home. Pain wasn't much, and I had a previously ordered muscle relaxant and took that. I was in my recliner, and BFF made me soup. Next thing I know, it's 6AM! I slept about 7 hours in the recliner, and had another nap after posting the Cares List, so almost 9 hours of sleep! I'm sure some of that was from the anesthesia. Best of all - NO LEG PAIN! No tingling either. I am stiff and a bit sore, but that's to be expected. I appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts - they worked! @marshhawk Happy, Happy 70th Birthday Annie! @cunnorl Happy, Happy Birthday Charlene! @Haljo1935 Good luck with the eye procedure. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating. I visited Kona in 1992 on a trip to Hawaii. I used to shoot slides back then, but scanned some into the PC. I was at the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. This ‘place of refuge’ was a safe haven for those that broke the Kapu laws, which in old Hawaii were punishable by death. If you reached the Puʻuhonua, you would be pardoned by Kahuna and given a second chance at life. The Hale o Keawe Temple, guarded by carved wooden Kiʻi.

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I don't know much about hemp. Yay for Kindergarten; I don't remember it, although I have my report card from it saying I was shy. I think I would like chocolate covered cashews, although I've not seen them for sale. Funny quote. The meal looks good. Maybe on the drink and pass on the wine. I haven't been to Scarborough. It's cloudy and cool here. There were frost warnings this morning. I again got more sleep, about 5.5 hours, in segments. I had a late Hibiclens shower, maybe that helped. But you can't put on any lotion and I usually do, with my dry skin. I feel like I have a lot to do, and don't know where to start. I'm trying to prep the downstairs den for if I decide to sleep there a few nights initially. I won't worry about food; BFF is bringing a crockpot meal that we'll have on Tuesday. I appreciate all of the prayers and good thoughts for tomorrow. @kazu Bon Voyage! Have a great time on your cruise. @VMax1700 Bon Voyage! @bennybear Happy Anniversary! The surgery will be outpatient, unless something untoward goes on, so I'll be home by evening. I figure doing the lists will give me something to do! Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute those who are not Chinese and can speak the difficult language. I hadn't heard of Cli-Fi before, and not a cheddar fries fan. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal because of the scallops. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Akita. It's windy and somewhat cool here (56F). Freeze warning for tomorrow morning and Monday morning. I unexpectedly got more sleep last night (yay). Initially about 3.5 hours, then fell back asleep twice more, so about 6 hour total 😲. So somewhat energized, I stripped the bed and gathered everything I could find to launder. Of course doing all that I had to keep sitting down, due to pain. I'm just finishing a break, then will tackle going up and down to the basement to do laundry. Tonight starts the Hibiclens showers, so everything needs to be clean. I'm also gathering some things to keep on the first floor, in case I can't go upstairs to bed the first few days. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. @grapau27 Thanks for the explanation of Cli-Fi day. @summer slope Enjoy the visit and the cruise with your family. Yay! Just got word that insurance approved the procedure. Then registration called to get that done. I will hear between 2-4PM what time I'm scheduled for, but was already told I have to be there 2 hours before sugery. @bennybear Prayers all goes well at the Oncologist's office.

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @StLouisCruisers and maps @rafinmd. And to the F&B contributors. I've known some people whose babies had CDH and required surgery. I hadn't heard of John Parker before. I like garlic! I knew that quote, but didn't realize it was from Stephen King. I've been too scared to read any of his books or see any of his movies. Pass on the meal ((fish), maybe for the drink, and pass on the wine. I haven't been to Porto Malai, A great find by Captain Cook. It's been dreary and rainy this AM, but I see a little peak of sun now. Sleep was particularly elusive, about 2.5 hours. So this AM I look at my insurance website and see the prior auth for my surgery is listed as in process. I call, get some outsourced person, who really can only say it's in process and that it can take 14 business days to review and decide if the procedure is necessary. The request was submitted April 10th. So it was suggested I call the provider, to see if it can be made priority. I have left a message with the Neurosurgeon's nurse. Once I got myself in the mindset of having this, and the fact that I can't take much more of this pain and no sleep, I will not be happy if there has to be a delay. Plus BFF has altered his schedule to be here with me a while.
