Reading some of the individual sectors roll calls I think quite a few 'normal' pax booked without knowing it was part of the world cruise. So there may be a few diamond and below members, including us. But I agree it will be interesting to see how they can make any kind of exclusive experience for pins and D+ when over half the ship are at that level. Just hope we won't be kicked out of whole areas/lounges. Love sitting in the Viking Crown lounge having a pre dinner drink Hoping someone will do a trip report and let us know. Our sectors are in July too and I'm thinking of cancelling for this and other reasons

True, but a lot of people (most I would think) cruise just once a year in a balcony or below. All my points have been earned one night, one point. I've also cruised other lines, therefore it's taken a long time to get to the highly anticipated Diamond level. Hoping that the op's experience was a one off and the CEO of RC will honour what he said when he announced the change of name of the lounge

The weather has finally turned chilly. Yesterday was about 8c but bright and sunny, just how I like it. We went for a walk along the Thames in Henley. Up to the weir and lock and then back into Henley and hot chocolate with chilli at our favourite cafe. Molly wasn't happy on the wooden bridge with water rushing under Love the name on the third boat along in the second pic

Great review Deb. We did three Celebrity cruises when cruising restarted, Beyond and twice on Silhouette. Your review is very fair. We were a bit disappointed with the food as everyone had raved how much better the food was and we felt it was same as RC or maybe slightly better in the Dinnng Room. The daily snacks delivered to our concierge cabin were awful. Our main complaint was we love a big upper deck oceanview lounge at the front of the ship where we can sip our pre dinner HH wine and look at the sea. On Edge class that area is given over to suites and not accessible to non suite guests. We thought the shows on Beyond were excellent, on Silhouette, similar to the smaller RC ships We quite liked the infinity balconies and thought they would be great for a cool weather cruises Sue

I think they follow the law of the country the cruise departs from. For instance in USA they can only drink alcohol from 21 years, in Europe its 18 years On my last cruise the napkin folding demo was held in the schooner bar and two children aged around 10 did a great demonstration of folding a napkin into a ship after the crew member had finished. I was very impressed with a) their skill and b) their confidence

We noticed on our last cruise that any dishes we left in our room were put outside our room, presumably by the stateroom attendant. I can only think that now they have more rooms to look after the new procedure is for someone from the kitchens to collect all the dishes left outside by the attendants

I worked for Emirates at Heathrow from 2003 to 2021, on the Ticket Desk, so dealing with all the problems! Their airbus A380 is pretty amazing. Light and airy. 1st has an onboard shower, and there's a Bar with barstools and seating at the back of business class. Even economy is pretty good. 90% of times the planes gates were either side of our lounge and so we were able to board 1st and business straight from the lounge into the plane. Their onboard entertainment was always ahead of the game https://www.emirates.com/uk/english/experience/our-fleet/a380/

There's a few UK lines that are either fully adult or have a couple of ships that are adult only P@O, Virgin, Saga (over 55s). Maybe something like this would suit, not sure if they sail in Caribbean. Celebrity also seem to have less kids Alternatively the longer cruises usually have less children

Jewel of the Seas - Aft Facing
sgmn replied to packedandready's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We had 9660 on sister ship Serenade last month Two loungers, two chairs plus one big and one small table on the balcony. Loved the aft views. -
$88 is Β£72. On my Symphony cruise in May Chops was Β£60 with no wine/cocktails, so I think it's quite a good deal for an upscale meal with drinks
