Are the Sky and Discovery having the soot issues on the aft balconies like the earlier royal class ships were?

Could someone on board post mdr menus if possible..we will be boarding the 18th of June?

@Tak8. ..did you or anyone on the ship have to fill out the Bahamas health form? Someone on my roll call for June just posted that even to go to the private island it had to be filled out and paid for...we have been given ni info so I am hoping that princess just does it?

@Tak8 are they back to doing gangway pics at the ports yet...or embarkation photos in the terminal?

This seems to vary...some ships are reporting the buffet is back to full self serve...folks on the Caribbean are saying this.

as i stated i read them as they were posted and was told they were out of order later then was told in a post MDR NOT OPEN ON SEA DAYS. The OP has come back and corrected...i went with the words of the poster who was on board. knowing they are having issues with crew shortages thought perhaps things had changed so I went with actual experience of someone on board...it has already been stated it was a mishap and a confusion on my part taking the post of patters in order so please lets not hijack this thread of the mishap which has now been corrected by the OP.

Ok will go back and look but was also going off what OP responded when I asked and they said no...I don't want to hijack their thread over this.

Ok when I look at post 77 it starts with the back of the patter...so I thought they posted it back then front...the backs don't say what day is what..which is why I asked about lunch and the poster responded that no mdr were open ...so I trusted what they said as they are on the ship now...

Am I missing something the poster who is on the ship now said the mdr was not open on their sea day

The poster said lunch not offered on sea day which is why I was bummed

That's a bummer about lunch on the sea days we were looking forward to it. I thought the chairs we free on the beach by the dock in Grand Turk....did you go to the left or right when facing the beach?

another odd question for anyone on board...I was just looking at the patters and it seems on the sea day there was no MDR open for lunch...also saw none listed as open on embarkation day....are they not doing lunch in one of the MDR on this cruise?

There is another live thread for this cruise and on there they are reporting several problems with a nearly 90% full ship and not enough staff and also issues with the medallion system working on there for the crew, ordering drinks etc.

I second that...had several chase me when were in a park taking pictures...

Yup I have alerted our TA to let his rep know.

Then perhaps princess should put the safety of their crew both mentally and physically and then the guests as well and lower the capacity so they can do the protocols they have set forth over money. If we as guests have to follow them to get on board then princess should do their part and follow the protocols that they just updated and still state that the crew will be doing the serving. We couldn't show up and opt out of following the protocols and be allowed on so it is wrong to advertise one thing then get on board to something completely different. If they want to go back to full self service then update it on the safety protocols don't lie. Then we as guests know what to expect if we choose to still sail. If they are cutting this corner what other corners might they be cutting as far as safety 🤔

Ugh...that is sad since the site states in the protocols that the staff serve us at some stations yet reports are it is all self serve...guess they pick and choose which protocol to follow. But will just be more diligent in hand washing and such cause even before covid I had a lady in front of me eating and licking her fingers then she grabbed the serving spoon, I requested the crew change out the spoon and they did. Don't want any bugs to ruin this cruise we have planned so long for...🙂

Also curious about the buffet. Is it still being served mainly by the crew with some self serve plated items?

@GonzoWCS EEKS that is not good. I know they are hurting and need the money but to me they are only hurting themselves by packing on the folks then service suffers in general and their protocols that they list on the site don't get followed either as seen on other ship sailings. I hope they either get more staff or go back to a more reduced capacity so their staff can function and not be under such stress.

Thanks for the formal nights that us what I was thinking but wanted to confirm and can now do our specialty bookings. As pspman92 stated would love pics of patters and menus if you get a chance even if posted once you are home from what I hope is a fabulous time. EEKS...that is just about at 100% full..loved it when we sailed last year with about 40% on Majestic.

@xyankeecan't wait to follow along we will be doing this exact cruise in June. If you can tell me which days are formal...also menu pics even if at the end of the cruise or anything you can will be great...I can't wait to live through your cruise have a great voyage.
