I've seen a film of it somewhere but I can't remember where. It's pretty much as expected, a bit narrow in places, blocked by lifeboats in others so possible to do a circuit but not sit on a steamer chair.
A post in this thread should answer your question. The code isn't just for dining, it applies in most areas of the ship.
There are usually 2 Gala nights on a 7 day cruise.
I've flown into Dublin from Chicago on Aer Lingus, we had to wait for the immigration officer to turn up but I don't remember much of a queue once they were there.
Your luggage will be transferred and if you're flying on to Southampton rather than Heathrow you will save a lot of walking and queueing at the other end.
Only on Smart Attire evenings.
I really wish the Dress Code was clear, then we wouldn't need to keep having this discussion.
Hopefully the OP had his question answered several pages ago.
From the Cunard website -
Question
Is there a transfer between ships when I am travelling on back to back cruises on different ships?
Answer
Yes, if you are travelling on back to back cruises and you require a transfer between Cunard ships in Southampton we will arrange this for you if it is on the same day.
Full details will be provided on board.
