It used to be 8.30 or 10.30 so the show is after dinner for both main dinner sittings. Occasionally, either on the last night or for certain shows there might be an early show before second sitting dinner but fortunately it's not a regular occurrence. I agree with @carlmm, I don't want to go to a show pre-dinner. You can't compare cruise ship entertainment to a regular theatre where there is a single performance lasting at least a couple of hours. I'm glad you enjoyed Top Hat, I'm not usually a fan of Cruise ship shows but I have seen it twice.

After my recent experience I have mixed feelings about this decision, I hope it doesn't lead to too many ruined holidays (or worse).

You can save a few of those steps by saving the internet access as a short cut on your home page. Once you get the disconnected page, there should be a log in option at the top right of the page. You just need User name and pin number which should auto complete if you have that set up.
