I’m on Allure at the end of July.  I too walk with a cane and am curious how easy it is for you to get around.  I sailed on Oasis a couple of years ago but rented a scooter.  This time, I’m not because I’m in a regular balcony and the scooter won’t fit.  (We were in a GS last time.).

We were on Symphony in ocean view balcony and hot one that fit. The basket came off. Parked inside near the door.

  2. I used on May 4-11 on Symphony. Was the best choice we could have made. We didn’t know I would be wheelchair bound until just before the cruise. A friend boarded before us, sent a text with the info. DH called, paid the week & no insurance for possibly being stolen. I rode it into San Juan, without issues. Will see if I can upload a picture mine had 2 wheels. I’ve uploaded a picture of the company and number. Very happy with them and would do again.

I wasn’t terribly impressed with the aerial effects in the aqua shows on Harmony and Allure, but I’m really looking forward to what I see in your photos!

Another person posted that they skimmed through your photos of the shows, because they wanted to experience them fresh, and I understand that viewpoint.  However, because I took the time to look at every shot, including your captions, I am much more excited about seeing Hiro and Flight.  Thanks so much for the great blog.  I’ll be sailing on Symphony in 25 days!

These photos have made me think more about staying on the ship and less tours!

I know my wife would appreciate flowers a lot more than cheesy decorations. We have celebrated her birthday many times on a cruise ship. Our TA knows that we will be on the ship for my wife's birthday and she (the TA) will usually arrange for something special for her. We usually cruise with friends and ordered the cake once. It was the same cake they served everyone else. The only difference was, it came to our table as a whole cake. My wife blew out the candle and then they took the cake away and brought pieces back to all of us.

Our family had the cabin decorated. They weren’t with us. I really liked it. We’ve celebrated many cruises at our anniversary time and never saw announcement of Anniversaries.

  5. There was a thread a few months back warning cruisers not to purchase the cake.

I was on that thread. Please note we did not have the same.

We celebrated our 50th on NOS November 2017. Our cake was much better plus they brought a cake to the table from the dining staff. We had a great time. Would do it again.
