  1. We love the Martini Bar on Celebrity, is there something similar on Navigator? Sailing on Jan. 4.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

The R Bar on 4/Promenade is the old Martini Bar. Still has most of the drinks, just different. There is also Vintage which is all wine. Nice here as they have a complimentary cheese, meat fruit plate.

  2. The only thing I did not have completely figured out was the zipline. It is not a Little French Key. You have to take a ride 7-10 minutes from LFK and it takes about 2 1/2 hours. It was raining the day we were there so we deferred from the zipline. I had to send several emails to get the scoop and still did not understand it was somewhere else until paying for the day. Was not a big deal but important to know.

  3. It is only $10 for the jaguar??? Really? If I would have known this we definitely would have done it. I swore I thought I heard someone say $35 while we were there. That's why we decided against it. Darnit.

:( Sorry it is $35! Age getting to me?

  4. Thank you so much mitsugirly for your most recent review of LFK. We are already booked there for January and I'm more anxious than ever now! I have a few questions. On their video it says that Frenchy's is available with a full menu. Does that mean that you can take the boat over to Frenchy's at lunchtime then back to LFK again? If so, how long of a boat ride is it? I have so very picky eaters that wouldn't touch lobster, shrimp, or rice and beans so I was hoping maybe we could go to Frenchy's for burgers or something of that sort. Regarding the jaguar: Do you have to sign up for that ahead of time? Like should I email them now? Also do you recall if there was a price for just a picture and not the swim? And finally....do they choose where you sit or can you choose which beach area you want to stay at? How does that work?

We were there on December 3. We had the package that included lunch. I had already checked out the menu prior to booking. Frenchy's 44 does not appear to have burgers. They have a pasta with tuna and most of what we had for lunch. You can have chicken or all of the offered meats. I would encourage you to email them. They almost always get back to you within 24 hours. It may be you don't want to do lunch there. What we had was very good and cooked right there.

It was $10 for the jaguar. It was $10 to go to the reef to snorkel. It was $25 for the horses. This can all be added if you decide. They are very flexible!

  5. What a Awesome review. We are going on the NOS in April 2015. Was trying to figure out which Specialty Restaurant to go to Sabor's or Chops. Man that Sabor's looks Fantastic!!!

We are staying in GS do they offer the valet luggage service there. That is so nice not seeing your luggage till you get home.

We have a different itinerary but doesn't matter we are on a cruise :D

  6. We did Victor's zip line, zoo, shopping and the beach. This was 3 1/2 years ago with another couple from the cruise & Roll Call. We asked the driver to take us to a local place to eat. I cannot remember the name of the place. It was a very good chicken lunch. We actually bought lunch for the driver, single mom with a couple of children. We had to pay $5 for the beach chair and a drink. There were massages being given on the beach and LOTS of people selling things. You have to have a strong NO. Got back to the ship in plenty of time. You might want to search for things on Victor, check out Trip Advisor and Facebook.

  7. The day of the week you arrive, as stated, is very important. Shuttles usually stop to get others and there are several places for ships to come in at San Pedro. We have been 1 1/2 hours to/from LAX. If you are on a time crunch, might want to consider Uber or taxi. You would have to be sure the Uber vehicle could handle your luggage. I believe you need an app for Uber. Great addition to your cruise, Las Vegas! :D

  8. Welcome to CC Wavemistress01. Hope you are not deterred by others.

In the US we use a travel agent most often. Also it is really too bad you must not have gotten on CC much before your cruise. CC has lots of information and seemingly you would have known you were responsible to check in.

I'm thinking about how much fun I could have had being in Venice another 4 days. I might have thanked my luck to have missed that flight!

Please tell us more and how you might get this resolved.

  9. Our guide in Roatan explained the 'violence'. Their electricity provider was bought by a Texan who invested and then raised prices to the point where the locals had trouble paying. They still do! Carnival told them that they couldn't bring cruise ships if there was unrest. Since the locals need the jobs provided by the cruise lines, they caved in. This is the story our guide told us. I am not elaborating on her reference to bribes and corruption in mainland Honduras that made the purchase possible.

There is some reference to it on cruise critic in 2008. The Texan's name is Warren. He has a mansion in Dallas.

I'm a little confused by your response. The crew member was from Norwegian and as previously posted over not giving up his cell phone. NCL did bypass Roatan after and I do not see they have returned.

Most certainly there could be the issue you mention. However, the cruise lines would not be deterred by it. In Mazatlán, the cruise lines stopped because of danger to tourists, not just the cruise tourists.

When we travel, remembering we are in a strange area and take necessary precautions. This is true in the US or outside. Just my thoughts.

  10. Do not recall anyone saying they had done a zip line in Belize. We did Victor Bodden and I really liked it with several stations. Going to Little French Key this time for zip line and beach. No one in our group is into cave tubing so this will work best for me!

  11. Never had to book based on time. Give them the date and ship you are on. Have done lots of private tours. I always know if the ship is on ship time or local time, then set my watch or phone to ensure what time we are to be back. Never had an issue and used many recommended on CC.

  12. Been out here over a year looking at things to do in both Roatan and Belize. We did Victor and loved it. We are doing Little French Key this time.

Belize is a tender which the ship tours go first then all the others and then the ones with no tours

It has always been said to not take a taxi in these ports and stay close to the ship. Roatan has had some violence along with Belize. Something for consideration.

  13. $4.50 would be in line with their land based locations so that makes sense. It's still a big much but not as bad as 7 bucks a shake.

Not sure what you are comparing the cost. A large Blizzard at DQ is about $4.50. Personally, JR is several steps above DQ. A Love it Shake at Coldstone is $5.75. Sounding like a great deal to me with the BOGO!;)

  14. We sailed on Liberty almost two years ago, but the info here lines up with what I remember. The milkshakes were overpriced IMO - they were fast-food style (vanilla softserve with chocolate syrup mixed in) and not very big. I am a big fan of milkshakes and after buying one of these I would not buy another. I would rather spend $6 at Ben and Jerry's like we did on Enchantment. THOSE were good milkshakes.

Not sure where you got your information about the ice cream in the shakes. It is regular ice cream. Here is the description:

"Millions of people around the world go out of their way to taste Johnny Rockets thick, and creamy shakes & malts. Hand-dipped, & hand-spun, they're made with the finest USDA certified premium vanilla ice cream, whole milk, quality ingredients and real whipped cream. "

Actually most restaurants charge about $5 for one. One is big enough to share if you don't have a coupon. :D
