  1. I guess that is something “ for families”. Like you we wouldn’t want the water toys and I prefer to swim in a pool to the ocean. I like the facilities at Paradise but too busy for us unless we have grandkids and they are too small for the water toys.
  2. No need to assure, I recognize La Choza, have been many times but it doesn’t have beams like the photo from the OP or match the written description from the OP. I was simply stating La Choza is not in the area near Casa Mission. It is not far from La Mission.
  3. Did you get a discount? That would have annoyed me.
  4. How long since you have been there? Do you mean since they increased capacity or when they implemented AI.
  5. As much as I like La Choza I don’t recall any beams on the ceiling or “gardens and fountains you could stroll through” unless you count the part at the back. The one thing that concerns me about Casa Mission is, I don’t think the “average” person would be walking that far back in town without having a purpose or going somewhere deliberately. I have walked passed it on our way back from Chocolate factory but it isn’t somewhere I would just have been “by chance”. It isn’t in the same area as La Choza unless you are confusing it with La Mission?
  6. Confirmation email today that transatlantic cruise will end in Haifa instead of Limassol. Dear Guest, To provide our guests with more destinations and additional departure ports, we’ve reviewed our upcoming Summer 2023 program and decided to reposition some of our ships. Our original plan for Rhapsody of the Seas was to offer sailings departing from Limassol, Cyprus, beginning May 16th, 2023 through August 27th, 2023. Instead, Rhapsody will now sail from a new home port in Haifa, Israel starting May 16th, 2023. This means your Transatlantic sailing will now end in Haifa, Israel instead of Limassol, Cyprus.
  7. Even more limited now they are bringing the bigger ships in. As stated same itinerary every week. Lucky we are getting Radiance for a short reprieve. If they want to recoup the cost of new terminal I think they have got to get creative and come up with some alternatives otherwise the attraction of the bigger ships could wane fast.
  8. Maybe, still loses its appeal to me but to each their own.
  9. We have brought left-over wedding cake back on from a destination wedding. We declared it without any problems. However, I can’t understand why you wouldn’t want to eat a street taco while it was fresh.
  10. That would be very time intensive for the staff considering every drink package and all the C&A coupons.

    Cozumel Cabs

We have never actually docked at Puerta Maya, only International (next door) and Punta Langosta in town. I have no reason to believe the PP didn’t take the above photo there in September as they claim but this report from September 2022 is more what I would have expected. https://www.cruzely.com/complete-list-of-cozumel-taxi-rates/ Yes, from inside the port I would expect to pay $8 for a cab for up to 4 people. What irks me about Cozumel, on a cruise ship day, is they will bundle you in a larger vehicle and if you are an unrelated party they will charge, for example $8 “per party” to town, where there are actual official prices for a larger vehicle carrying 8 people as shown on above list. This is why we will often walk out onto the street and get a taxi just for us. Otherwise we pay and don’t tip. Tipping is not actually expected for taxis in Mexico but has become the expected norm from American cruisers in places like Cozumel. Small bills are essential to negotiate a fare as there will conveniently be no change, so a $8 fare automatically becomes $10, $17 becomes $20 etc. As a matter of interest when we stay on the island we will pay 100 pesos ($5) or $6 routinely for the same trip. I have no doubt locals will pay even less than that.
  12. I forgot to add to my last post Callejón de la Diez, which is another food unit place like Gastropark, if you are interested an sampling local food. I have been to Gastropark (atmosphere depends on time of day) but haven’t been to Callejón as it opened after our last land visit. We will certainly try it next time as it is nearer where we stay in San Miguel and gets good reviews on TA. It is next to Santander and is probably easier to find and more convenient if you are exploring town. There is another similar location out on the transversal.
  13. Thanks, from my searches BA has surprisingly been the cheapest and has the most options. We are fairly flexible regarding location in Cyprus and UK, I just expected more cut price flights since I thought Cyprus was a popular place for Brits to have a second home. Is it fairly safe to drive around Cyprus?

  15. We have future sailings booked on Radiance and Vision but have enjoyed several on Adventure and several future cruises booked. I am sorry you tested positive but when you are in an enclosed area anywhere there is risk.
  16. I understood mask wearing by crew was now optional, or at least dependent on the ruling by the Captain? I understood the recent Mariner sailing reverted to crew mask wearing as mandated by the Captain after a crew outbreak? We have sailed Adventure several times this year and have several more booked.
  17. Any recommendations for airlines for flights to UK? We need a one-way.
  18. Good suggestions from @crewsweeper la Choza is one of our favorites. I would add pescadería San Carlos for fish, if you are taking a taxi. Gastropark140 for a collection of food truck type places to sample authentic; also Aqui y Ahora on Melgar if you are able-bodied, walk to the back of the shop and climb the steps to the roof top for a view.

Some of the prices struck me as odd too which is why I asked which pier. I assume you mean southern piers of Puerta Maya and International? Prices are always higher from inside the port but many taxis will also try those prices outside the gates too.
  20. Our experience has been similar to @BND. It varies from ship to ship and port to port but you will receive a notice in your stateroom the day before. You will meet at a designated place and be escorted through the procedure. You might want to check at guest services mid cruise that they have you listed as B2B. Your account from one cruise will be closed out and a new set sail pass issued at the changeover procedure.
  21. I would enclose your hanging items in a light weight garment carrier. Whilst changing cabins is not difficult and many will describe it as an “easy” process, my personal experience was that I “lost” three hanging items during the transfer. Therefore, IF I had to change cabins again I would enclose the items so they cannot accidentally fall off the transfer cart and disappear. We have done several B2B but I try to book the same cabin now for both legs although I realize that isn’t always possible.
  22. According to this chart 2004, not sure how long they stayed. https://www.princess.com/news/backgrounders_and_fact_sheets/factsheet/The-History-of-Princess-Cruises:-A-Timeline-of-Key-Events.html I do recall a short time from Houston later, along with Norwegian, in an effort to utilize the port.

There was a report at the time on TA forum, i think in August. I have heard plans to reopen end of November, end of December, but who knows?
