  1. Have an awesome time. Our dog is also sensitive to the suitcase "alarm/indicator".
  2. We had two overnight ports during our Dec 2023 Solstice holiday sailing. The first one was at Bangkok on Dec 25 and Dec 26. Neither day was lunch served at the MDR (Grand Epernay Restaurant). The second one was at Halong Bay on Dec 31 and Jan 1. Lunch was served on the first day (Celebrity Today). Perhaps that was because it was New Year’s Eve. Lunch was not served on the following day.
  3. I am sorry to read about your experience. We had the Chef's Table also on Summit this past April (Panama Canal sailing). I believe that we had a person or two at our table that didn't drink either and I believe that it was handled much better that time (maybe a different crew member).
  4. I’ve attached my trade confirmation once in the past and received my OBC.
  5. Ok. So you’re talking about the water In the shower head itself.
  6. How do you get contaminated water entering a shower head since it is its own air gap? Realistically you can’t get backflow from a shower head. Or is the concern drawing in gas/air?
  7. I don’t think their marketing department worries about that.
  8. Yes, your choices are pretty limited!
  9. Capital Reef National Park (link to map). It is the least famous of the five national parks in Utah (the more famous ones being Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, and Canyonlands). The photo was taken in the Cathedral Valley area of the park. The large feature in front of our white rental jeep in the photo in my prior post is called Temple of the Sun (how cool is that?). The smaller feature further down the road is called Temple of the Moon. The cliffs in the background are called Temple of the Stars. It's pretty much a full days drive on dirt road and a shallow stream crossing or two to get there. It's a fun and easy drive with a 4x4 with high clearance. Here is a map that shows you where the Temple of the Sun is located: link. It's an awesome place to get photos of the starry sky and milky way at night (and have the Temples in the foreground). We were not prepared for such a trip so we just did it as a nice day drive. Here is a nice article on how to get to the Temple of the Sun and Moon: link Temple of the Sun (right) and Temple of the Moon (left). Capitol Reef National Park. The park is pretty cool. It has nice trails and even natural arches. It is said that the real Butch Cassidy's hideout was in that park. Hickman Bridge, Capitol Reef National Park
  10. Since you are coming all the way from the UK, I would simply recommend that you book one of the extended sailings--9 nights or more: Southern Caribbean, Aruba/Bonaire/Curacao, or Eastern Caribbean. The itinerary will give you several sea days which is very nice and gives you time to enjoy the ship. Those itineraries are largely being done on Eclipse and Beyond. The only problem is that a lot of the extended itineraries for Jan/Feb are selling out. So your choices may be governed by cabin availability more than anything else.
  11. Same offers being maintained for mid-July to mid-Aug. Here is a link to the flyer.
  12. Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse are similar and have the same specialty restaurants. Murano, Tuscan Grille, Sushi at 5 and Le Petit Chef Silhouette and Reflection are similar to each other. They both have the above restaurants and additional specialty restaurants than Solstice, Equinox, and Eclipse. The extra restaurants are Lawn Club Grill and The Porch. They occupy the same space that the Hot Glass Show sits on board Solstice, Equinox, and Eclipse.
  13. We've been on Solstice 3 times and most recently this past Dec on a Singapore to Hong Kong trip. You do not need to dress up to visit the public areas of the ship--jeans and t-shirt for the most part will be fine. And your comments about the buffet vs main dining room for dinner are correct. Shorts and t-shirt are fine in the main dining room for breakfast and lunch.
  14. That sounds awesome.
  15. We didn't see the flamingos on that trip (Reflection, 2019) but we did see them on an earlier cruise (Eclipse, 2015). Pretty cool.
  16. We last visited Bonaire in 2019. We did a dive at a reef by the cruise pier (1st photo) and also at the Salt Pier further south (2nd photo).
  17. What method did you use to apply for the OBC? Email or did you use the online form?
  18. Yes, I’ve noted in my post the conversion of the second bedroom into a closet for Horizon Suites. This still meets the OP’s requirements, I believe.
  19. Christmas/NYE sailing. Also Curaçao is shown on Celebrity website as being 1130a - 800p. I’m guessing that was a result of a change made to accommodate the switch in ports.
  20. Bonaire is out; Grand Cayman substituted instead. This according to the roll call.
  21. That is a very good point because when the cabins are first released for booking, the 5 person minimum is enforced. Later as time goes by, the 5 person restriction is removed in order to sell any remaining unbooked FV (aka Ultra Deluxe Veranda). When the FVs are converted into Horizon Suites (Equinox and Silhouette), there is no 5 person minimum because the extra bedroom is turned into a walk-in closet accessible from the master bedroom.
  22. If you think the Solstice class connecting cabins are attractive: There are four sets on each ship. Two on Deck 7 and two on Deck 8. They are all at the front of the ship overlooking the bow. The Deck 8 sets are much better than their Deck 7 counterparts because the Deck 7 balcony is small and, in my opinion, unusable. If you are looking for the "classic" suite experience, then the Royal Suite + Ultra Deluxe Concierge Class combo is the way to go although they are on the older Millennium class ships (which I very much like). The Royal Suites are very nice. Again, it is possible that the Edge class ships have something that fit your specifications. I don't know those ships as well.
  23. There are Sky Suite + Sunset Veranda connecting cabins on all Solstice class ships (aft) but they do not meet Specification #1 on your list.
