  1. I am not familiar with Edge class offerings, but here are your options for the other ships which I believe meet all of your specifications. Millennium class ships (Royal Suite + Ultra Deluxe Concierge Class). This would include Millennium, Infinity, Summit, and Constellation. Solstice class ships have this interesting combination although they are slightly different on different ships:: Silhouette and Equinox (Horizon Suite + Prime Ocean View) Solstice, Eclipse, and Reflection have (Ultra Deluxe Veranda + Prime Ocean View) Although it is not a suite, the Ultra Deluxe Veranda cabin is a spacious multi-bedroom cabin with a separate living room and dining room. Below is a floor plan for the ones on Reflection which is furnished the best compared to the ones on Solstice and Eclipse. There is a private hallway that connects this cabin with the adjacent ocean view cabin. When the Ultra Deluxe Veranda cabins were converted to Horizon Suites on Equinox and Silhouette, the bedroom with the bunk beds was converted into a walk-in closet and they are significantly more expensive. When the Solstice class ships were built, these large cabins were originally categorized as Family Veranda cabins which is why the drawing below has the FV designation.
  2. Onboard Xpedition, there was a USB drive consisting of a montage of photos. There were no photos taken underwater that I can recall. Here is a link to a post where you can access the video of photos that were provided on our sailing. For us, we had a 7am flight out of UIO and were assigned the JW Marriott with a 4:30 am ground transport pickup time. Staying at the JW Marriott was something that we preferred but I imagine we could have stayed at the EB.Hotel if we had requested it in advance.
  3. Actually the one category upgrade is available to all Captains Club levels assuming you don't consider "Preview" a level. It's been that way ever since I can remember.
  4. I don't think there is a practical limit as long as you hold the stock and have a qualified booking. I requested and received OBC in Nov 2022 for our Apr 9 2025 trans-Pacific sailing if that gives you any idea.....Of course it's been more rewarding to see the stock price go up from $58/share since then!
  5. For the few times I have done it, I get the fastest results by emailing shareholderbenefit@rccl.com. The last time I did it, I emailed requests for shareholder OBC for 3 sailings and got the OBC for each one in just a tad over 3 hours.
  6. I am also able to log in and see the same cruise. The only problem is the high prices in the Cruise Planner......
  7. Totally agree. That also goes for massages....
  8. Celebrity has them although I’ve not used them.
  9. We did the Chef’s Table this past April aboard Summit. I put a few posts together on the experience here: link
  10. @huladoula1, I don't have any problems logging in either through my desktop or my iPhone. If problems still persist, try another web browser.
  11. Based on your post you only need to know which social media platform you use to figure out what generation you are! (I am NOT serious).
  12. Since the Inner and Outer Loops are alternated, isn’t what you’re proposing is to do a back to back sailing? 2 nights Quito + 7 nights Outer Loop + 7 nights Inner Loop + 1 night Quito If that is what you are talking about, then yes, it can and has been done.
  13. My wife made a similar one when we were on our New Zealand cruise. Quite nerve wracking to pack it properly and fly back home with it from Sydney!
  14. Be sure to sign up for a specific time slot as soon as you get onboard. The first two sea days will probably have the highest demand.
  15. I agree with the above however the key words in CHEZMARYLOU's post is "might not apply to all airlines". For example, we were able to pick our your own seats on United, but some other airlines (Air Canada comes to mind) will not allow you to. Some airlines require you to use your co-branded credit card to buy your tickets directly from the airline in order to get baggage and boarding group perks. Some airlines deem it sufficient that you are a co-branded credit card holder to get the perks.
  16. Hi, Gary,. You are welcome and thank you for the nice words! It was a most wonderful cruise, wasn't it? I am sorry that I did not get to meet you, your family, nor your friends. But then again, it was a very port intensive cruise that kept you busy and exhausted. Maybe we will meet on a future cruise. David
  17. Celebrity has put out a custom flyer for the 4th of July (link). While the flyer is new, it consists of the same (applicable) language as the flyer in my first post (discounts, booking window, eligible sailings, etc).
  18. I agree. But wouldn't you think that they would have chosen a sexier sounding loyalty tier for the ad?
  19. It's being emailed directly to people. I received one today. Here's one that posted on the internet. I have no idea who Edward is.
  20. Mark, Unfortunately there is no chance that we will be taking Solstice onto Vancouver simply because of work. The 17 night Sydney to Hawaii sailing already means that I will be on vacation for 3 weeks to begin with. Otherwise we would love to stay on Solstice for the second leg. And if you guys are on it, even more reason we would want to do the B2B! We have very mild dry weather with lots of sun here in Chicago today. I suspect that you will be enjoying it tomorrow. David
  21. Good afternoon and hello from Chicago, Mark! No, unfortunately we are not booked on any Bermuda cruise. Our next one is the Apr 2025 Transpacific on Solstice (17 nights, Sydney to Honolulu). I hope you and Randi are doing fine and that New Jersey is treating you well. David (and Marcia)
  22. None of us know in advance, so just keep an eye on this thread. When a PUP activity comes up, it will be posted. Since the program started in the middle of 2020, things are usually slow until September (when points are awarded in October).
  23. I just forwarded the email to you. If you didn't receive it, let me know!
  24. I have made a spreadsheet to help answer your questions. Here is the link and look at the "Shorex Details" tab (tabs are at the bottom of the spreadsheet) The 3 tours with Xuan Le are very good. He personally conducted the tour at Ho Chi Minh City (where he lives) and it was the best of the 3. In fact the HCMC tour was flat out awesome. Because of his personal travel expenses to get to the other locations and conduct the tour, he needed a minimum group size of 8 for our tours at our port stops at Nha Trang and Hue/Danang--consequently he subcontracted that work out to a person that lived in that area (one for Nha Trang and one for Hue/Danang. The tour guides were good but not as great as Xuan himself. So my recommendation is to be sure that you get a group of 8 in order to get Xuan himself to do the tour and confirm that he is doing the tour. Because he lives in HCMC, there was no group minimum required to get him--just be sure you book early before someone else does. I think this would be of interest to you--and I am willing to offer it if you want--if you send me your email address to mahdnc at yahoo dot com, I will in turn forward my very detailed critique of the tours that I sent to Xuan. It was long because I knew that Xuan wanted to always improve his tour and he also wanted to exert some quality control on the tours he subbed out to other guides. The email I sent highlighted the pluses and minuses. If you do send me an email, post here that you did it so I know to look for it. The two days of Bangkok tours that we took with Thai Tour Guide were terrific. The second day was shorter than the first but personally I found it more amazing--we visited the Railroad Market and a floating market. A big plus is that they take care of all the pick up and dropoff so you don't have to worry about arranging transportation from the ship to Bangkok and back. I highly recommend the tour and felt that we got great value for the money. I have always wanted to see Halong Bay and so we splurged and booked the Halong Bay overnight cruise through Celebrity. It was very expensive but and you don't have to worry about getting to the bay cruise boat on time and getting back to the ship on time the next day. On the other hand you pay dearly for that and it is so expensive that most Celebrity passengers did not book it. The cruise was great but I only recommend it for the most die hard fans of Halong Bay. If you are able to book a Halong Bay cruise (overnight or a straight day cruise), you can save a lot of money compared to buying it through Celebrity. The trick is being able to get to the bay cruise pier and the cruise ship pier in time--they are relatively close to one another but a car is needed. Our single tour that we took in Hong Kong was done by Virginia Chan who has her own company, "Humid With A Chance Of Fishballs". We booked her through ToursByLocals. It was also very expensive (all Hong Kong private tours are) but while I can't say that it represented good value for the money, we certainly got our money's worth! The highlight of her tour was our trip to one of the few old authentic tea houses left in Hong Kong for dim sum. Amazing! Eating there involves a lot of strange and intimidating customs (like how to get a table) which would frighten away most tourists who have never been there. But with Virginia there, she taught us everything and we ended up with a truly rare Hong Kong experience. I totally recommend her and her tour and I think you would enjoy any of the tours she offers. Her tours are actually recommended in the Lonely Planet guide book on Hong Kong. My money saving advice is to book directly through her website to avoid the 35% markup from ToursbyLocals. If you have more questions let me know.
  25. Well, we weren't 55 years old when we started with Celebrity 30 years ago!
