royalcruz:  "Chicagopaul" is presently posting from the Millennium, and has posted photos of bar menus.    The menus are standard across the fleet, so the Infinity will have the same.

Thank you. Chicagopaul's page 12 has the Rendezvous lounge menu, but mojitos are such standard drinks that they are not on the menus (only the pomegranite ones are). I'm hoping that someone who orders mojitos will know more.

  2. Re: USA Cruise Care

I just read the Cruise Care policy. It reads that the cancellation penalty waiver program (for covered), and the "Cancellation Enhancement" (for non-covered reasons) would apply to the cruise fare. I don't see anything about air in those sections. If anyone finds anything that states that if you cancel the trip you get your airfare back, please post a reference.

Reading further, it seems that the Interruption and Delay sections would apply to air transportation, but I don't see anything about needing to purchase air through Choice Air to get that coverage.

Flights booked by Celebrity Air are insured by the Celebrity travel policy. I have used it for travel delay and cancellation.  I have spoken directly with Ion, the travel insurer,  concerning several questions I have had about specific coverages in the travel policy The guarantee by Choice Air/Celebrity Air to get you to your ship as noted above is correct and a separate matter.

Well then either it has changed or the Choice Air rep gave me wrong information (what else is new) or certain things are covered and certain things aren't? I booked Choice Air in the last few weeks (in USA, Florida) and I asked if I purchased Cruise Care AND Choice Air, would I then be covered for the flights. The rep said, no, Cruise Care ONLY covers the cruise! She then told me about the guarantee to get you to the ship.

We are covered for the entire trip under covered reasons through our credit card, and we get medical through GeoBlue.

I posted this in the Medallion questions but then solved it and realized that I should have posted it here instead. I hope this helps someone....

I wasn't "OCEAN READY" because there was an exclamation point on the PIN code circle on the app on my LG G5 phone. I had set up the PIN code 20 times and it was always "completed" but then this would happen. Then I was able to fix this....I downloaded the app on our other phone Samsung Galaxy S5, signed in, and fixed it there. Then opened the app on my LG G5 phone and the PIN was showing as completed. So either that one function wasn't compatible on my LG  phone, or it fixed itself in the time between.

Nevertheless.... OCEAN READY NOW on both phones!!!

Has anyone had issues with the format of the pictures ?  e.g. I uploaded an avatar photo from my phone and it squashed it making me look like an Oompa Loompa .

Do you need to crop photos into a square format before uploading?

Yes, cropping your photo into a square shape first works out the squashing!

  7. I recently booked my first Choice Air flights. My middle name is not on the emailed confirmation, but I've confirmed twice by phone that it is on the air reservation. They say that is just the way it is on the email.

    Also, a bit of information....

Choice Air flights are not covered by Celebrity Cruise Care insurance, but Choice Air has an emergency phone number and they told me they guarantee to get you to the ship at their expense, including overnight hotels if needed.

  8. We're going on the Aug 26 sailing and purchased the Unlimited Dining package. The descriptions says we get lunch on sea days...do you think we also can get lunch on embarkation day and  port days if a restaurant happens to be open? (I noticed there is food for purchase at Playmakers, Bamboo, JR, and El Loco Fresh, and Izumi will be open on Nassau day for lunch according to the app)

    @royalcruz

Good info.  Perhaps an email to AppFeedback@rccl.com will be helpful.

Maybe others here can assist as well.

I contacted them about 6 months ago and they didn't offer a solution. I think they acknowledged that it doesn't work on this phone model. I sent another message today.

    Thank you.

Can you provide a little more information and we'll try to assist?

    Android version?

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

    Tried updating to Android 8?

The app opens but gets stuck on LET'S GET YOUR DEVICE READY...WIFI (See screenshot).

    My phone is LG G5.

    Android version 8.0.0 through updates.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times.

I've gone into permissions and notifications on my settings and allowed everything I can find.

I was hoping that once onboard the app would work but it doesn't, and my husband's older Samsung S5 works the app just fine on land, so I know it's supposed to work.

  11. We booked a balcony guarantee 5 wks before a cruise August 26th. I was getting really nervous because there were lots of balcony rooms (in 4 different categories) available the week of booking, but then 2 weeks went by with no balcony (or suite) rooms showing in the available inventory. Finally we got a room this week, 13 days before sailing. I was afraid their glitchy system forgot about us!

When you exit from the airport, there are 3 taxi lines. One is the "Urban Taxies" (red colour), the other is "NT (New Territories Taxies" (green colour) and finally the "Lantau Taxies" (blue colour). Each of the green and blue has restricted areas to operate; but the red ones can operate anywhere. For the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, you will need the Urban / red taxies. Make sure you are in the right line, there are clear markings and signages, and most people will use the red taxies.

When you are near the head of the line, there will be some English speaking helpers (employed by the Airport Authority) asking for your destination and point you to a vacant taxi. They will write down the license plate number of the taxi on a card and give it to you and indicate an estimated fare (HK$ 350 most likely in your case). Keep the card if you have a complaint to make later on. The helper will also usually tell the driver in Chinese / Cantonese your destination. Should be easy.

Thanks! That helps a lot! Red it is!

  13. Loeb, That is a HUGE terminal! It looks very modern and organized. Thanks for posting the video tour!

Philob, the links that you posted led me to find a great resource...there is a concierge service in the airport that we can order...they'll provide a chaperone from the arrival gate to the taxi line. It costs about $90 USD. My husband tends to be anxious in foreign airports, so I think we'll get the service. For about $150 USD, they'll even drive you the whole way in an electric cart and porter your luggage (that we don't need, LOL!)

  14. Thank you Loeb. The fare finder says it's about $40 USD, so taxi will be our preferred way to go.

I hope we can find out in advance which port/terminal to tell the driver to go to, and that the language barrier won't be a problem.

Is there an indoor area with seats to wait for ship boarding? We have Celebrity Elite membership if that helps.

  15. We've never been to Hong Kong. We are arriving at 8 AM and would like to get to the ship and check in. We'll be staying overnight on the ship. We'd love to stay longer, but we'll  be away for over 2 weeks just to take this cruise, and that's a really long time for us. Anyway, we need some advice for getting to the ship.

What do you suggest for transportation? (private car or shuttle or cruiseline , NOT trains or buses)

    How far is the ride?

    How long is the ride?

    What is the cost?

Do all taxis accept credit cards?

I see that Celebrity has a form to complete for ordering chauffeured transportation but there isn't any information available on the form, and I suspect it would be overpriced. Has anyone used this option?

  16. I bought chopsticks for gifts. Then I bought a brush marker and wrote friends' names in Japanese on index cards to present with the chopsticks. There is a website that you give an English name and they spell it in Japanese.
