Hello everyone. When I retired a few years ago some of my friends said I would be bored. I am glad that is not the case. Once again I am so far behind on the threads. Although I have skimmed the threads and did a random post , I feel so out of the loop But. First off. Prayers to all involved in the plight of Israel. So scary. Second. Been a wild and crazy time since I was able to post live on our Alaskan cruise. Where to begin. Well, I am so far behind on the threads I follow, yes I visited them randomly, and posted a little but I must apologize because I know so little of what is happening in our friendly circle. But moving forward, I will just say when you have a major health scare and after many tests —almost all the results are normal. Well. After you thank God for answering your prayers, you savor every moment. Dealing currently with some non life threatening issues as well as be the best you can be in helping others. Life goes on and I am truly appreciative that I am a part of it. In addition to my already hectic life I will be baking for 2 upcoming weddings. But, I was honored to be selected to be on out parish church council and was nominated and unanimously elected to role of recording secretary. I was humbled, the job is usually delegated to a returning member. Ok, enough for now. Gotta go type up those minutes from our first meeting. Thanks for listening. I am pretty sure your gratuitous are included in your cruise fare for star. As indicated in that link. When we stay in CLS (sky) the hostess records our suite number. Puts in computer. And our tips are directed to CK. Found out by asking why they book by cabin. number and not name. So. CK does get share of gratuities we pay Be safe.

Actually having just sailed the Allure in a CLS, our assigned first dinner in the MDR was changed to MTD. When I question this.the response was “ You have CK, if you don’t want to eat there you are in MTD. I responded. “ What if I wanted to eat early with our nonsuite friends” . The response was “have them enjoy MTD with you”. So in the Allure your ASSIGNED table is no more. Having it happen to us. Do not know if others went thru this. Be safe.

lol I should. But maybe there will be a movie out before my April cruise. Gotta keep the TV sea disaster tradition going. If not I’ll buy it for the plane ride. Ty for reminding me. Be safe.

I never thought I would say this bit I LOVE CLEVELAND.

Story time. Left Seattle 30 min late. THEN!! Unbelievable winds. Turbulence. Diverted north to Wyoming instead of flying to Denver. Then it got ugly. Bouncing on my seat. Landed in Denver missed our connection. Wait!!! The plane we were on became the connection. We had to gather all our belongings. Exit stage left. Go “P” re board same seat. Hope it gets better Be safe.

Breakfast at CK at 6:30am 7am. Suites met at wonderland 7:28am escorted to baggage claim by concierge (Junior) Free luggage valet so we just walked to customs. 7:39am on bus to go to airport. 8:22am. At airport. Got carryon. Walked to TSA. Pre check. Minimal line 8:45 am. Walking to terminal A. Gate changed to Terminal S. Back track 9:25. At gate. Be safe.

On all our cruises we have never gambled on the last day which is today. Many were in casino. There were many notices about casino closing at 3 pm for remaining time on cruise. All guest were to redeem their tokens and slot machine play. We rode up from the Promenade with an elevator full of gamblers who were on the slots and they were very upset that the machines shut off and could not get their free play. I do not know about chips from table games. Be safe.

We were invited to a tour of the bridge today, as suite guest. We met on deck 12 by forward elevators. Signed our waver. Hand metal detector by security. Phone call made by Junior (concierge) to get final approval. We had to be sailing in condition green to be permitted to go to bridge. Some of reasons tours were canceled because of conditions red or yellow are Fog Rough seas Ice. 2 security guards stayed with us. We met Martin second officer and he gave an excellent presentation. overlooking Bow. Control panel on side of bridge. Ships statistics. View looking back from side of bridge. Then had a question and answer period. Escorted out. Tour over. Very pleased with the opportunity to experience the bridge. Be safe.

Good morning. Last full day on cruise. Woke up to the mighty toilets not working. Then they flushed on their own. Breakfast now. Then the dreaded packing. Be safe.

CK for dinner. Spouse had 4 lobster tails (poached???) They were small but made a ok meal. When asked if he liked them he just commented. “I like the old way better”. I think she was surprised with his honesty. I opted to eat off the children’s menu and had spaghetti. It was good. Desserts were baked Alaska and was a generous portion. Be safe.

Story Time. (some of this previously posted). In 2018 before we sailed to Alaska we watched the Poseidon on regular. TV This year before we sailed watched Titanic. Now I see a new book is currently being advertised. A new occurrence for me ??? Be safe.

We have never done it. I am guess you must keep all your suitcases and go down to level that you disembark on. Get in line. You will be first off with others doing it. The information will start showing up on the TV soon. Be safe.
