  1. P&O do a daily pre-authorisation based on your actual spend at the time which ring fences the sum of money on your card. Normally you do not see this on your card unless you bump into your credit limit or amount in your account. I highly recommend that you register a credit card rather than a debit card then you don’t get this problem as most credit cards have a high credit limit. Brian
  2. Yes it’s still available. it varies between $50 and $250 depending on the cruise duration. Suggest you get in contact with them Brian
  3. Iona left Hellesylt about an hour ago heading for Geiranger so you get a scenic cruise. Will probably then just turn around and come back down the fjord. We will be on board in four weeks time so presumably the same will happen. Brian
  4. Just to inform any future travellers, it’s the Italian government that has banned cruise ships in Venice so all cruise companies are scrambling around to find alternative ports. https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/venice-cruise-ship-ban-government/index.html Brian
  5. A contract note only proves that you purchased the shares at a certain date and does not prove current ownership. It might be accepted if the purchase was within three months but why go down this path when you can print off a current statement. Brian
  6. It used to be the case that you could not use on board credit for any booking made before departure. Has this changed? Brian
  7. Mine took 3 days a couple of weeks ago. Then a couple of days later had a confirmatory email from my TA with a revised P&O invoice showing the added credit Brian
  8. I don’t see why you have to wait. My shares are held by HL and the price is continuously updated with a 15min delay from the LSE price so I can do a screen print at any time. However, it’s not the share price that’s relevant but the number or shares that you have to prove your holding at the time of your application for shareholder credit. Brian
  9. Surely there must be a way of getting a current statement of your holding. You need one that shows your name, current date and number of Carnival shares. You can then do a screen print or download to a .pdf file. Any non relevant information should be blanked out. Brian
  10. All the information you need on this link https://ask.completecruisesolution.com/help/ext/PO/why-book-with-us/more-info-share-holder Brian
  11. It gets updated every year, or it has done for the past 14 years that I have owned the shares. Brian
