  1. If you are in a guaranteed room, you don’t select the cabin number.
  2. Please elaborate on what accessibility features you require. Transporting power wheelchairs and non-collapsible scooters are most problematic.Technically, at least companies offering shuttles are required under the ADA. Most don’t comply.
  3. It is on Deck 9 (as it is on all the Pinnacle Class ships). The configuration between ships is identical/neatly identical, the the thalassotherapy pool in a separate room, immediately forward of the Lido pool. Heated loungers and other features are in a room on the starboard exterior very nearby.
  4. Technically, you shouldn’t need any wifi plan, but it will be a trade-off in messaging fees, depending on whether messages get routed via wifi or SMS. To be abundantly clear: voice at sea can be highly unreliable and should it not be assumed that it will be working properly. That’s not fo say it’s destined to fail, but things happen. And those costs are per minute/message. Rotty in March probably means Caribbean or the Gulf of Mexico/Panama Canal. You should generally have a better signal then in some more remote regions (as far as ship’s connectivity is concerned). You would want to also validate where aboard ship signal is particularly strong or weak. The same can be said of wifi as well as cell signal.
  5. The earlier you book the more opportunity for airlines to change schedules that may require you, in turn, to alter your plans. Especially if you book early, hive yourself a cushion at each end so that a minor change doesn’t become a major headache.
  6. Please note that it might be a continental breakfast for the first little bit, with things like eggs Benedict coming a bit later.
  7. Right on target: https://www.verizon.com/plans/international/international-travel/cruise-and-inflight/
  8. falls into the categories of “expensive” ingredients and skills in preparation.
  9. HIA is a all or nothing deal. Everyone in the cabin has to be in, or no one, so there is no opportunity to “share” benefits (and no HiA benefits are at the cabin level- they are all individual. We were not successful in trying to move excursion credit between cabinmates, both with HIA last year.
  10. Vegetarians have a substantial right to be angry. Pasta with pesto? that’s the best you can do, HA? So many opportunities with mushrooms and other vegetables to be creative, nutritious, and cost-efficient.
  11. It looks like its been cheapened substantially and they have reduced the level of effort and skill required by the food prep team. The removal of the lamb is saddening.
  12. Adding a link to back up the 3 hour recommendation: https://www.miami-airport.com/COVID_19.asp#:~:text=A%3A We always recommend arriving, hours before an international flight.
  13. For international flights, you are recommended to be at a US airport three hours before flight time. The only way to POSSIBLY meet that (8:10) is if the ship is cleared by immigration and customs AND you carry all of your bags off the ship and get one of the first taxis. I wouldn’t look to ride share because you don’t want to spend time finding a specific driver. I would nit be at all tempted to try.
  14. If there were a late/delayed official bus, it is one thing you aren’t: official. That means they can play by different rules, including port access and whether simply getting on the bus was considered by the cruise line to have been boarded (with clean-up once actually on the ship). Technically, you likely can meet your timeline. The questions include how likely, what actions are, and what is plan “B”? I wouldn’t want that much pressure- we consider distance/ time from ship on excursions as well, and almost always don’t use ship excursions unless they are the only wheelchair accessible option, the excursion involves being on a boat for an hour or longer, or there are more than 2 changes between different types of motorized transportation, or is a bus-based excursion 4 hours or longer (more opportunities for beak down that would limit the likelihood of making departure). If you choose to cut it close, have a viable plan B and be ready to use it.
  15. Do you mean arrive at the ship’s dock in Trieste at 2:00 before scheduled sailing time or when you get to the city? Are you arriving in Trieste the same day. And what. mode of transportation to the city? Two hours at the ship is barely enough time. You must not only get onboard but complete muster before the ship can sail. It is a very risky choice. If you are arriving in Trieste two hours prior to sailing, you may very well not make the ship. If landing at the airport two hours prior, you’d almost certainly not make the ship as you’d need to clear customs (unless EU). You can’t control service providers’ schedules. It is easy to run late.
  16. I cannot think of many accessible cabins that do not have some cabin next to them. There may be a few cabins (accessible or otherwise) that don’t share common walls with another cabin, but those are comparatively few and are most likely inside cabins. Now, if you are referring to cabins that have internal connecting doors- a connecting cabin- those may be very rare. The extra door requires wall space and most cabins have little wall space to sacrifice without losing storage or furniture. Connecting doors are notoriously bad at providing sound insulation and are often an issue when unrelated parties are on each side of the door. The Disney Magic and Wonder both have some connecting cabins. I do not know if any of the cabins are accessible.
  17. The excursion credit with HIA isn’t onboard credit. It’s explicitly excursion credit. Unused value doesn’t convert to general OBC and is not refundable.
  18. You can’t use OBC until you are aboard ship. You cannot purchase things in advance of getting on the ship with OBC, regardless of when it is to be delivered. Once aboard, you have a great deal of flexibility in how you can use it.
  19. Yes, but also occupies most of the time.
  20. It’s an easy airport to us, but does not have much in the way of amenities. As the PP mentioned, it doesn’t serve a wide range of airports with nonstop service. Note that travel time is highly variable, so please plan accordingly.. I.d expect that it would take 1:10 ang time between 4pm and 7:300m M-F.
  21. Please be cognizant there are Hyatts both north and south of the Fort Lauderdale airport. The north one is very, very close to the 17th Street area. There’s very good Italian food nest door, and a good number of other restaurants that are easily walkable. The Hyatt South is officially in Dania Beach and is close to Jaxson’s Ice Cream parlor and a few other restaurants..
  22. Another aspect flor you to consider is the impact on the other person’s fare and whether any single supplement fees would attach. You could, of course, purchase cancellation protection or insurance.
  23. Note that Federal Highway (US-1) and Las Olas don’t exactly cross- US 1 is in a tunnel underneath Las Olas. The Riverside is almost immediately above the tunnel.
  24. There is a sidewalk along 17th Street. You would beed to walk along storefronts up Cordova Road (past Jell’s Landing and Southport Raw Bar, making a right on 15th Street. 15th Street is mostly condos/apartments on the south side of the street. It’s a couple of city blocks long, but no significant traffic. If going/coming after dark, I’d probably try to catch a ride, more for visibility than for security/crime concern. I honestly don’t remember the current state of streetlights right there- Ive got 40 years of memories about that particular street, and used to be able to tell you where every crack was.
