  1. Stitchman, can you copy and paste the email in to a post so we can all read it. That would be great.

I do believe that it might just be telling you, that on Dynamic Classic, you WILL have 2 formal dinners and need to pack appropriate clothing. Where as if you reserved all your own restaurants under Dynamic Dining, then you could have none, one, two or more Grande formal dinners booked and you would know in advance what you are doing.

If RCCL didn't send this email, people would complain that on Classic, they were not told about Grande having Formal attire dress code and didn't pack any formal clothes.

Even though it is just dinner and not a meet and greet with the Captain (which I always love and will miss from Anthem) with cocktails, RCCL still class it as a formal evening.

Does anyone know if we still get a Captains COcktail party on Quantum Class ships?

    SAUS !!!!

give me your email and I'll forward it onto you

I only use my phone and haven't got a clue how to copy and paste :(

  2. If you can't get a reservation before you board (either Classic or regular DD) you simply go to Grande right after embarkation and make a reservation directly at the venue. Or, if you are adventurous, you just show up without a reservation and hope to get in with a minimal wait. If you want, you can formal every single night of your cruise and just keep going to Grande.

P.S. What RCI tells you at this point about Classic DD has to be taken with a huge grain of salt - it has yet to happen on any ship so lots of things can change between now and sailing.

    great !!!

If you want, you can go formal when embarking the ship.

you can go formal to sorrentos or Johnny rockets !!

quantum has introduced dynamic classic. I've been informed by RCI. just saying.

  3. Surely we need someone onboard checking before you or I sail.

Also looking forward to meeting up in October to compare our likes and dislikes on our Second visit to her. Because for that short trip we will be only doing the best bits we liked for the three days.

well I won't be hard to find ....... I'll be in the casino nearly every night avoiding my teenagers ! lol

tea and coffee are a British thing.

my first RCI cruise on voyager never had the facilities.

room service really isn't the same.

I'm sure many will disagree with me :)

  4. No, you do not book breakfast. I have never heard of that on any ship. Breakfast is served in Windjammer, AIG, Devinely Decadence, 270 or room service.

    Something else to complain about?

Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk

the question got asked on shipmateshipmate by a chap with a disabled daughter.

do they serve breakfast in 270 ? I thought that was a theatre venue ....

  5. I have not been to that kind of venue, but it is not worth wasting my breath. You can even wear jeans to church. These are YOUR rules, for what YOU want. Have a good life. I want to enjoy my life not waste time on this.

it was an example. they're not my rules, it's how I feel.

wear what you like, it's up to you.

It's a discussion, not an argument.

This is a forum where things are discussed.

people turn it nasty with their sarcasm.

This in turn brings out other things.

I'm glad I seemed to have hit a nerve with you.

Thank you for making the thread more interesting :)

  6. Agreed - I assume you've chosen classic and will rotate through the restaurants, so the 2 nights will be the nights you eat in Grande.

No ...... They were quite specific ......

as I said on another forum, how does that work on a 3/4 night cruise when you can't get booked into the grande ??

that obviously means you might miss out then ??
