  1. Since Easter is so late, I think it will be okay. Colleges will be done with break, but still possible some high schools are on break.
  2. "Sometimes people write stuff that they want to believe or to glamorize to make others think they are special." This is so true and bothers me so much. When people ask certain questions, I wish others would stick to the facts. Yes, sometimes someone is asking for opinions, but sometimes they just want an unbiased answer.
  3. We were on for 2 weeks in December and did not have a white party.
  4. Asked by TA to check this. Saved $1000 on our cabin with 2 adults and 2 children. She did check the cabin with only 2 adults, but that one was more expensive than when we booked it.
  5. The only time we ever had a problem ordering off the MDR menu was on an Edge class ship. Every other ship, we had no problem.
  6. Only you know if you are in the same room. You would have to look at your reservations.
  7. If you are just interested in cruising, and the destination doesn't matter, this would be fine. But you aren't seeing enough of Hawaii for me. I would do a land trip instead, or from Honolulu. I would want to see Maui (even though Lahaina isn't available) and Kauai.
  8. I've seen this same tour on Viator.
  9. On our last several cruises, the only day you couldn't get the drinks from 5 - 7 was on embarkation day. Every other day they were available. Also an aside to the OP, you can get specialty coffees, mimosas, bellinis and specialty coffee at the Elite breakfast. We normally don't eat our breakfast at the Elite breakfast, but will go there after breakfast if one of us wants one of those beverages.
  10. We used it on the Apex in December. As far as getting the bags to Southwest airlines in Ft. Lauderdale, we had no problems! I will say, our children stayed on for 1 week, and then we stayed on for a second week. We both used luggage valet. When they left after the first week, their family was "randomly" selected out of the line when they were exiting the ship, and were escorted down to the customs area. Asked a couple questions, and they were free to go. One week later, we were "randomly" selected to be escorted down to customs. They said something about making sure our bags had gone through customs, and after 2 minutes, we could go. My point is I don't think it was random, I think it had to do with luggage valet, because too coincidental that it happened to both of us. Nevertheless, it only took 10-15 minutes extra, and it was worth it not to lug our bags as our flight was in the afternoon.
  11. My son could cast from his phone and iPad to the TV on our cruise in December.
  12. I said I tend to worry less, I didn't say I don't worry at all. I'm sorry somebody took them, unfortunately it was just too tempting for somebody without a conscience!
  13. I tend to worry less on the ship because there are a lot of cameras.
  14. just traveled with that situation. Wasn't an insurable issue so were just refunded port fees and taxes.
  15. Updated today: Current Processing Times (applied on or after December 18, 2023) Routine 6 to 8 weeks Expedited 2 to 3 weeks Expedited at Agency Must have international travel within 14 calendar days Appointment required
  16. Thank you for that info. Sent mine today. Don't need it until Mid-February but I'm feeling pretty good about it since I expedited it!
  17. Do you have experience with this??? Just took my grandchildren, 2 1/2 and 6 1/2, and they had the time of their lives. We all had the best time and I hardly think it was a punishment.
  18. Important Updates on Passport Processing Monday, November 6, 2023 The Department of State is committed to providing the best possible service for our passport customers. We encourage all Americans to: check their passport expiration date before making plans for international travel, and renew their passport well in advance of international travel. Current Processing Times: Processing times have changed several times in 2023. As of November 6, we are processing routine applications in 7-10 weeks, and expedited applications in 3-5 weeks. Processing times begin when we receive your application at a passport agency or center, and do not include mailing times.
  19. So did you just give them your ports, and they verified that you would be okay with a birth certificate? Sending in my passport to be renewed and right now expedited is running 3-5 weeks, so I should be okay for a mid-February cruise, but you never know.
  20. I'm glad that works for you. It did not for me, but I'm sure every doctor has different policies.
  21. Interested in hearing from somebody that requested and received a crib in their cabin. Is it full size? Did they provide the sheets? Any issues? Thank you in advance.
  22. On the Solstice class there is no bottle of liquor. Of course you can order a drink, but only included if you have the beverage package.
