  1. Sounds like a great tour. we did a private tour with Rome in Limo, they are really more drivers than two or guides, but we have always had excellent commentary. The company will make a tour for you, or you can research and find the spots you want to go on your own. I arranged for a private lunch in the vineyards at Tenuta Torciano and it was the most wonderful travel experiences we've ever had. We ate under a beautiful pergola in the middle of the vineyards, and delicious food, and as you said, had nine glasses, sitting in front of us, and had nine tastings. It was so memorable, I hope you can go there.
  2. Or go online and check Viator. They generally have the same excursions for less
  3. You didn't mention the ports. we only did one back to back (Rome) and never had to get off the ship. In contrast we just did Auckland to Sydney and the B2B passengers had to pack up, put their suitcases out the night before like everybody else, and leave the ship in the morning. Nobody was allowed back on until after 10:30 AM. This was due to an Australian law.
  4. We used them the week before to get up to and back from Te Arie, wonderful service.
  5. Huevos Rancheros on eclipse this week
  6. Had muesli, a parfait and granola this serky
  7. I cannot imagine a scenario that I will remove the auto gratuities. They are not a huge amount, yet I wouldn't want anybody to be held responsible for the fact that I wanted to do remove them. Instead, I give extra cash to anyone that I think deserves an extra boost. We are lucky to be able to cruise, and most of the employees work very hard.
  8. Aqua class does not have priority boarding. The first night a time will be suggested to you for dinner. Unless it is the time we want to eat, we just go when it is convenient. After the first night, just go any time during Blu's open hours and you will be seated. Occasionally, but rarely, you may have a short wait. We have never made a request for something not on the menu, so I'm not sure what they will tell you. We have ordered from the main dining room menu. On the Beyond, the regular dining rooms are quite a distance from Blu, and some people have reported they could not order, but I would still give it a try.
  9. I am doing the cruise starting tomorrow, so I have not experienced these excursions, however, Celebrity excursions are very expensive and in Wellington, the cable car and Zealandia can be easily done on your own. The shuttle will drop you off right near the cable car, which you can take to the top, and then there is a free shuttle to Zelandia, so that is one I would, for sure do on my own, rather than pay their exorbitant costs.
  10. This is too important to topic for you to trust opinions of people on this board. Go right to the Celebrity website and will direct you to the particular ports you are going to and what the Requirements are. everyone here wants to be helpful, but if they give you the wrong advice you will have a big problem.
  11. As someone else mentioned, your wife could certainly sleep in the same room, my experience was that we could not change the actual names on the room due to their rules about not having children that young be alone in a room. If you are comfortable with them sleeping together in the inside room, you can certainly switch where you sleep , but you wouldn’t be able to eat dinner together blue.
  12. Yes, you can take a photo and yes it can be faked. It does seem silly but they do allow you to take a photo
  13. No upgraded points for captain's club if you do a move up. I don't think you can moveup if the cabin was totally free. You can if you have partially paid for the cruise. But you can go to the moveup page and see if you are eligible.
  14. I know when you book a glass blowing class, you do not get a specific time. Where would you go once you get on the ship to book your time slot?
  15. We've been reading about poor weather in New Zealand north island. Have reports been overblown or are there difficulties?
  16. No corkage fee if you have a drink package.
  17. There was a tote, but not a mesh bag. There were slippers, too.
  18. On reflection two weeks ago, staff was great. Sometimes the drinks were a little slow but not too bad. Table games same as usual.
