  1. Wow, just wow! I just got off the phone from an unexpected hour long wonderful conversation with a Princess employee. Her regular role is working post cruise issues, but she was recruited to help out in this whole "casino" fare situation. She just called to follow up and make sure that I was "taken care of" Jen Wright is a friend and she has worked for her in the past and and had very nice things to say. So, all in all IMO Princess is really doing great trying to make the situation right.

  4. You can ask to have the one under Sun Princess deleted and start a brand new one in Star Princess. I think you may be able to select report under the 3 dots on the top right in your post. I found this: You can't directly delete a post on Cruise Critic, but you can report it and ask a moderator to remove it. To report a post on a PC, you can: Move the mouse cursor over the post Select the Report post link in the upper right corner In the box, write "please remove my post"

  6. Somewhere in this thread (I think) we were asked to share our resolution. So, Here's mine Inside IE is just not for me. I accepted the upgrade to DA Deluxe Balcony for $1260.00 (I am a solo) I worked with Jen Wright directly via email after my initial experience with chat. Jen was excellent to work with. Below is my confirmation from Jen Hi Holly - Done! I have moved your room to DA and the booking is now showing a balance due of $1260. Please pay online through Cruise Personalizer today or let me know if that's not possible. The upgrade requires same day payment or the system will cancel, but I can put an additional few days on it as needed. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. Best, Jen I am also booked on the TA, so now I am looking forward to a lovely 21 days on the new Star Princess (Fingers crossed it goes as planned) Will have to be very careful planning this trip. So it is a good outcome for me
  7. Yummmm. The MTG lunch looks good. I am thinking on a 1 week Alaska cruise I may make the MTG Lunch at around 700 days. I did on a past Discovery cruise. I was pleasntly surprised. I think I am getting excited for MY cruise on Majestic.
  8. FYI, if you did not already know this. The on board loyalty person is not employed by Princess any longer. They outsourced it to O.N.E. (I believe) and combined the position with Future Sales, which they had previously outsourced. I have read other negative comments from other ships also. It seems nearly everything is outsourced with Princess.
  9. On Princess I have never felt the specialty restaurant food was the same as in the MDR. There is a kitchen in the restaurant that prepares these meals. There may be some ingredients in common with the MDR due to volume buying. But the meal is different than the MDR for sure.
  10. Regarding using a TA in this debacle, It has to do with who has the rights to the specific booking. If the $0 booking was made on line (as mine) my TA can not help and gets nothing if it were to be turned over to her. So I never did. But, yesterday when I was dealing with Princess on chat my TA was right beside me via email the whole time. Oh, and it was 9-10 pm at night. How's that for a great TA. This is just my experience YMMV. I have never had a CVP, so I can't comment about how that might work.
  11. I believe you are looking for someone shoreside, not a officer on a ship. This is probably not the right thread for your post. You might create a post in the main body of this forum. Say in the title something like seeking Princess customer service/relations contact information. You could then just copy and paste your post here. That may get the kind of visibility you are looking for.

  13. I agree, don't take a chance. I had to renew mine quite early with a long international cruise coming up about 4 years ago. One way to tell is (at least it was when this happened to me) If the Princess/Medallion App or website accepts your passport information that may be an indication that has likely been accepted. If you seem to have an issue enterring the passport information that may indicate it would not be accepted. Just my experience, YMMV
  14. Yes, white is indicative of an inaugural cruise year. The problem is the WONKY as always App. I am white too on the App, but really elite, black. I've call a few times to no avail. They say they will get back to me and never do. The agents we get are not interested in such a trivial thing as a color on a medallion on a screen so it gets no attention or resolution.

  16. I can not begin to imagine the wait for for the cable car to get down with 12,000 people. You would likely have to spend half the time there waiting in the line. I see this kind of thing happening with more and more Mega Monstrosities being built. Sad for those who prefer lovely ports over the ship. I have no plan to ever board one of those Mega Monstrosities, IMO / YMMV

  18. I am on this cruise also. I did not get an Email from Princess, but a forwarded Princess "itinerary change" PDF from my TA. I figured it out easily as I expected a change, but was hoping for Kahului. I checked and NCL Pride Of America is in port our day and they take priority. So that is why we were sent to Kona. I think ships that were scheduled for Lahaina are docking at Kahului when NCL Pride Of America is not in port.
  19. Good Spirits At Sea Bar on Dec 5 in the Piazza. I also think available at Casino Bar.
  20. Island did away with La Patisserie some time ago. In it's place is Good Spirits Bar that is where you can get your specialty coffees and teas. They supposedly they put a tray of pastries out from time to time. I was on her for the 2023 World Cruise and never saw that at the times I went for coffee in the morning. I truely missed the IC.
  21. Just received the expected Email about Lahaina, finally!!!!. Lahaina has been replaced with Kona. I am very sad to see we will not be going to Maui at all. I was hoping they might have us dock at Kahului. NCL Pride of America seems to have priority. Kona is not a favorite port for me
