Comparisons between Carnival Spirit and Splendor
rkmw replied to Cazno2's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Geoff if you have a suite you could check 16 days out from the cruise , non platinum and below it’s 14 days you should be able to drop off your carry on once onboard but won’t have access to your card till closer towards 1.30, if you want a drink use the barcode on your boarding pass till you get your cruise card -
Comparisons between Carnival Spirit and Splendor

Geoff until you’ve been on the Splendor for a short time it’s a bit crazy because you can’t go all the way thru on deck 3 or deck 4 and the only decks that go all the way are deck 5 and deck 9 best to download the Hub App and once onboard and get your cruise card at 1.30 from outside your door and put your folio number from your cruise card you can access the Hub app if you want to eat dinner in the Black Pearl restaurant for dinner (which is anytime) you book a table when your ready from the Hub app and the same for having breakfast in the Gold Pearl restaurant -
On FB it was reported that the Pacific Rim was going to operate in 2026 but a short time later it was announced as a false alarm

We have stayed at 3, Cambell st Sydney, Coward st Mascot & Bondi Junction all very good and if you join their loyalty program you get a bit of a discount and you don’t pay until you get there and free cancellation 24 hours before
-
Another thing if your driving to the port and require parking depending when your cruising check out https://www.wilsonparking.com.au/parking-locations/queensland/brisbane-international-cruise-terminal/brisbane-international-cruise-terminal/ and you can book in from 6 months out and car park P1 or P2 is only a short walk to the terminal, just download Wilson’s app and book in

Carnival is a good company and the currency onboard is AUD not like Celebrity or RC and I presume you’ll be on the Carnival Splendor and being school holidays there’s a lot of kids onboard Being in a Cloud 9 suite not sure it qualifies you for priority check in but it will tell you when you check in, Platinum and above check in 16 days before departure and everyone else checks in 14 days before departure and a good idea check in opens at midnight when your allowed to check in to get early boarding of 11am Download the Hub app when you can and once onboard you can access the hub app once you get your sea pass card which opens your cabin door and with the hub app you can check your account and what’s going on around the ship and if wanting to have breakfast in the MDR you book a table by the hub app when your ready to eat

So sad of the passing and I enjoyed the reading of his posts -
Definitely no good for people flying interstate and can you imagine the overseas passengers landing at Sydney airport and then another long train trip and then do the same again on the return trip to go home

rkmw replied to JohnGc's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
I’ve stayed in 7260 on Ovation which is much the same as Quantum and I don’t think we heard any noise from Jamie’s but if you was on the balcony you may have but I don’t think they would open very late -
Cheryle it would be nice but no
