  1. True, but the people on board went through metal detectors when they boarded and at ports upon return to ship. If you use Port Valet the same can't be said. I see the FAA coming for Port Valet. Check in agent: Did you use Port Valet? Yes? You'll need to go get on that looong line over there before I can check you in. That'll be the end of Port Valet.
  2. This has the potential of being a security risk. There's a reason when you check in bags at airports they ask if your bags have been under your immediate control since you packed them.
  3. Do you know if they are again serving filet mignon with the steak and eggs?
  4. Is that the same kid that says Dungeon Crab instead of Dungeness? 🙂
  5. Imagine the differences I see from my visit to the Mendenhall Glacier in September 1981. There was no Glacier Visitors Center or marked trails and I had to take one of the two taxis in town to get there!
  6. Where do these direct flights stop en route? They can be pricier and aren't as convenient.
  7. I was aboard Miracle in April and we needed tugs to assist maneuvering in Long Beach and Ensenada. An engineer told me then that the bow thrusters were in need of repair which may involve wet docking the ship.
  8. We can be sure Carnival's expensive team of lawyers tell them to do this first. Limiting liability exposure by stopping witnesses recording an event takes precedence to stopping the actual altercation. Besides, they don't want the bad publicity.
  9. Absolutely, the ship was in its homeport. Besides, they'll need the small brig for the next round of hooligans coming aboard that day 😉
  10. These days almost everyone has a phone and you may well wind up as click bait on YouTube. Moral of this story: don't get into shipboard altercations.
  11. The Afternoon Tea Time at 3pm with its military table for veterans has been cut fleet wide by Carnival. SAD!
