  1. We paid too much for this hotel, 321.99 + 38.64 tax = 360.63 plus they are charging $10.00 to park there the one night. BUT, I need to be on the island to go to my brother's grave at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery Saturday morning. I missed his service during covid so I'm good shelling out what I know to be too much for a room for one night. I booked last month, too. All the hotel rates were high at the time.
  2. Why the emphasis on an insulated cup? We walk around with our vintage AM/PM Mini-Mart 64oz. sippy cups with the dome lid and have for years.
  3. In my 9 sailings from Long Beach the boarding zone and time was scrutinized before I was waved through to the terminal.
  4. Good advice, and for the same reason I wouldn't buy custom foot orthotics. Every cruise I'm offered a "free" consultation when I walk past the entrance to the spa to improve posture and relief from foot and ankle pain. The only relief I get is when I'm no longer in ear shot of the sales pitch 😉
  5. Europe and the U.K. are experiencing food supply issues much as parts of the USA are seeing. Hence no fruit and the like per current news reports.
  6. And set place for the woman who asked to see the DL of your son 🙂
  7. Put it this way: regardless of whether there's a connecting door or not you can hear the people conversing and their TV in the next cabin on either side of you in all Vista Class ships. Less so on Spirit Class and Dream Class vessels in our experience.
  8. " Pig & Anchor has a free buffet on embarkation day, not inside the restaurant but outside. "
  9. Wait until you check in, that's when the issues begin. If you've experienced the health assessment that you completed then disappears and tells you to fill it out at the pier then you have an idea of what can happen when doing online check in. I hope you have better luck than some of us do.
  10. The issues you describe have happened to us several times when doing online check in. We have found when one question is being buggy to skip and go on to the next and then back track to the buggy question. It seems to be more cooperative the second time. Good luck
  11. No, because then they won't be a no show they will be a last minute cancel. The jig is up the moment you open your mouth to reveal the truth of the matter. Mum's the word if they want their taxes and fees refunded.
  12. Yes you can ask for the OBC for the cruise you become milestone. I was told you pay in advance and tell them you want to use your milestone reward. When you board the ship you will then have an OBC on your account with a value of 25% of what you paid for your cruise fare only. You do not receive a milestone credit for taxes, fees or any pre-paid gratuities.
  13. Yes, but transatlantic crossings are not their stock in trade. Seasonal only and a short one at that. Other than Carnival Pride how many other ships of the fleet are cruising this summer in the Med and Northern Fjords? The Caribbean is their bread and butter.
  14. Yes, and when ships for the UK and European markets are being ordered by cruise lines they include the higher costs to cover the specs for electrical outlets to power kettles safely. Cruise lines save money on their builds for the North American market because cabin kettles are not the custom.
  15. You can even enjoy your candy al fresco at Panorama's Cherry on Top.
  16. OP Vicky, Was it your blender we saw being confiscated on the pier?
  17. I've seen people lick the deck, it's never pretty.
  18. How appropriate that the mop used for clean up left a swirl pattern under her and she's right next to Swirls.
  19. It's the moustache but several gold chains are the tell. 😉
  20. " You see honey, I did this silly thing and lost all our vacation money. "
  21. My favorite and the crunch sound as you break through the caramelized sugar with your spoon. November and the Magic can't come soon enough for us! Thanks for the memory 🙂
