  1. We got three different times. One in email, one in docs, one in app.
  2. This has been talked about for years but not recently. From reliable sources here, people could do that maybe ten years or so ago but they put a stop to it. One poster was a regular at doing that but then it ended. What ship as maybe we can give best options but off the cuff I'd just book a 2br haven.
  3. NCL moved to once a day room cleaning except for top rooms back in 2022.
  4. Just catching up. We sailed Mera late October in YC. Noticed item shortages. Lettuce was main one. Went to BC and Cobb salad was basically cut up green beans. Buffet salad station no salad about 2/3 through. But if I got burger in YC it always had the crispest lettuce ever. Others were certain sodas and bottles. Interestingly as we sailed two ports in Canada saw at least four MSC seacans on trucks in Port. At second port while waiting for excursion local guide mentioned the trucks parked there had made the journey from Florida to bring supplies. We didn't have any ketchup shortage.
  5. Definitely changes. We've sailed Mera four times since restart. Twice Feb 2023 then Oct. All in YC. October was a big drop from past. Biggest drop was YC food and restaurant service. Saw YC director two minutes over 11 days. Butler and Asst plus many bar staff great.
  6. Upgrade offers independent of what rooms available. Bids through third party for data mining.
  7. We've stayed outside YC in YC rooms twice. It does feel a bit strange but quick jaunt up as those rooms were all forward, Really liked the duplex for just DW and I. We've also been in a couple RS with four and it would be nice if they had a second bath. If just two people though, the price for duplex or higher tough to justify.
  8. Welcome to CC. Is Haven worth it? Hard to say. Prices quite high. One benefit would be easy embarkation and disembarkation. Latter would help with flight. We had a 12:30 many years ago and while trip to airport was quick, tsa took forever. As far as a 2br, are they all adults? If so, imo that is not ideal for six adults.
  9. IIRC that deck six has two parts, an upper and lower. The upper has like a ramp.
  10. We used this option fall 2022. LHR customs greatly improved. Long line, moved fast, scan passport, gate opens. Walked to claim, bags quickly arrived, NCL reps there, check off list, wait. Go out to bus with group, gave luggage, then to port. Maybe 1.5 hours from plane to ship. Biggest issue was once at port. A few people still getting off ship. No real direction from bus staff where to go. Entered building. They were setting up a Haven check in far end. Went there, did checkin, escorted to security, then upstairs to Haven area. Had to do another whole check in. Not sure if the Haven part applies for you. Other than port issue, very smooth.
  11. We sailed Prima Sept. 2022 and found the Haven menu quite good. Even some special items once in a while. That being said, we sailed MSC on same ship in February and October 2023 in YC and the food stunk second time around. Only make mention as we've seen reports here about savings pressures but not sure how deep they've gone in regards to Haven.
  12. Apparently you inflicted penalty upon thyself for cancelling second leg of b2b recently. How long will penalty phase last, who knows. You could also try to offer paying a higher dsc to see if that will grease the gears.
  13. My thoughts would be Northern Europe and if you did Prima there are two top categories of Haven that sleep 8 and 6 respectively. But at a price of a new car. I will say while ship was upscale feeling, I'm not really interested in sailing it again. Plus the Haven pool area is open air and in cold weather not suitable. Other would be FP on Paul Gauguin. All inclusive pricing. Would do a ten or eleven day as it then goes to some remote places. Pure heaven. Very quiet. They have two private islands which are fantastic. Snorkeling fabulous. Food was very good and everyone on board super relaxed.
  14. I'd probably pay them $10 not to get foie Gras, not trying to give them upcharge ideas though.
  15. The one major difference is they won't bring Cagney's to room for breakfast or lunch.
  16. The Mexican looks good. Luckily we have several good near us, not a major metroplex. Did get guac, but not get table made guac, on Prima. DD frequently will make it at home for just cost of avocados, very good with secret ingredients. For our convenience, of course, no tips required or expected but she does get free room and board. No contract term in effect, able to leave whenever.
  17. Heck, if $2,000 in tips you need to start a tipping thread. Oh wait, already done.
  18. That leg was from DTW to LHR. We got very lucky it was Delta.
  19. This goes way back years when fdr took over. There was a widespread, across the board reduction in port times. One of the biggest was stops at Port Canaveral coming in early a.m. to one p.m. Put a damper going to Orlando or Space Center.
  20. Lots of different experiences here. We had Delta to LHR. We got info about 45 days out. Due to status, was bumped to C+ right away. Waitlisted for premium select and we got it. No luggage fees.
  21. They have to cool the potatoes so they can dice them up for breakfast the next day. No more heating oil to fry hash browns. Baked potatoes can air cool. Part of sail and sustain.
  22. I'd agree, at least for us. We did a 12 day TA on Prima with adult DD. Probably last time in long time that will ever happen. We spent a lot of time in the room. Also spent lots of time all over ship like Local, Haven Lounge. Didn't spend much time in buffet or atrium or main theater which takes up tons of space. Did spent quite a bit of time, at first, looking for seats at Indulge then if we wanted to eat there just went late. Weather not good so outside, open air Haven area useless.
  23. To add, the bathroom had a great shower where I could get like five different water sources going at once to rinse off the grime.
