We have done that multiple times at Chops on lobster night and have never had an issue.

Our friend booked for two and paid for two for our April cruise. The friend couldn't go so she was a no show. Friend, as well as us, expected her to get 2 points for sailing solo. She only received 1 point. She has called 3x and emailed twice. Same answer every single time... you must book solo to receive double points. The kicker was she booked and paid for both to begin with. She would have had to reprice the cruise at current rates and pay double. She is 2 points short of D now. We cruise in a couple of weeks again which she booked solo this time. I told her to try the Loyalty ambassador onboard just for grins to see if she would give her the points or possibly D status after the second day. I know that is not policy and points are earned after the cruise but it won't hurt to try.

Just to add, instead of creating a new post, Azamara, Norwegian & Viking all joined the no more testing group earlier today for cruises from the US. RCI & Carnival can’t be far behind.

Oh I've got my test lined up for 09.04.2022 so not an issue. Just hoping by our January cruise this is all behind us as far as testing before boarding.

Thanks for the info. Saw one out of Galveston. It's about $50 cheaper thru the sale. Not enough to keep me from booking if I miss the sale but $50 could pay for an excursion or go towards grats or parking 🙂

Yes, true you can choose type of balcony guarantee when they are offered. And RU you can choose type of balcony. My point was any OV Balcony Guarantee or RU could end up with this type of view.

Any balcony guarantee or Royal Up bid includes any balcony on the ship... you definitely could get stuck with this view 😞 on certain ship classes.

When you get a deck 6 obstructed balcony on Anthem... I'd rather have an inside than this view!
